Uşşak ney taksimi /w hybrid Uşşak model ney

A new form of ney that is half made from wood and half from reed.
The idea of this form of this instrument was wandering in my head for quite some time.
My dear friend Chris a wonderful ney-maker from Greece managed to make it, and here is how it sounds.
This quasi taksim is a pure an impression of how the registers sound. Soon I will make a detailed video with more explanation and sound examples.
In the future we would like to make more kinds of neys in this way with different kind of wood in use. Depending on the tuning and the wood choice we will name them to makams that we think they fit to.
This ney is made from reed + mahogany wood, and we call this model the uşşak model.
