Came here to say just this. I’ve had the flu and have been watching past vlogmas videos. I came back across this one and my first thought was, “Blue Nana looks fantastic and 10 years younger in this video.”
Seeing y’all in the car after Santa with an empty car seat I had to tell myself that yall did NOT forget Gigi but that maybe she’s with blue nana 😂😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
We've had a Christmas village for years, my husband has some buildings from his childhood. We have collected a few new things over the years to grow the village. We named it Tiny Town, and then started to add trees, benches, fake snow and townspeople. Then things got out of hand where we had a mayoral race, a coup with picketers (including small signs I had them hold with tiny text phrases) and created a town newspaper where we would write articles about town scandals. It became both ridiculous and hilarious, so highly encourage you to build your own Braunville 😂
Haha! You would think so but no actually. Where we live (outside the US) we don’t have those at all, but hear about those from the US tv stations we get and think it’s obscure, which just makes Tiny Town even more funny 😄
The idea you wore a green sweater and Tyler wore a red one was not wasted on me! Blue Nana was all Christmasy too ❤💚 Such a Sweet Santa visit for you all. I THINK I found Tiny Tyler. I dont know if my thumbnail screen shot is blurry or my phone isn't as clear as it should be. Or..heck, Jann, it could be your "old" eyes! 👀 (🤣) I think this title was Queen Jess's! 👑 Tyler, do you have those Europe videos finished? 😉
I built up my Christmas village from thrift stores. I love it so much. It has a Chinese food restaurant. And because all of it was so inexpensive, my daughter was allowed to actually play with it, which is now one of her favorite Christmas time memories. She's 12 now and begging me to set it up!
My grandmother has the most amazing Christmas village that she has been adding to for over 40 years.... the first piece was a church she painted at a ceramics class and now she has over 50 buildings (not pieces, BUILDINGS) and it takes her weeks to put it up on custom built tiered shelves that my grandfather built her to fit it into their big living room window. Every part of it has a story.... from the lighthouse that reminds them of trips to Maine to a grove of maple trees and a maple syrup cart with pails of sap like my grandfather does since retirement. It brings our family such joy every year. ❤🎄☃️
Growing up, we collected the Department 56 Dicken’s Village. We would get my dad a new building every year. He even built a white wooden platform, painted streets on it, and drilled holes for the cords so it looked just like a little town. He’s since passed away, but I’m so grateful that I now own the collection because it makes me think of him! ❤ loving the vlogs!
Absolutely love seeing “blue nana!” If she had ever had a daughter wow she would be stunning! That lady is gorgeous and such an infectious smile! Sweet lady ❤
I grew up with a Christmas village too. It was one of my favorite and most memorable things growing up and now I do the same with my daughter. I kept some of the ones from my childhood and now every year I buy a new one with my daughter and add to it ❤
OK, anybody else remember the countdown clock from Tyler doing the downstairs bathroom remodel. And subsequent count ... up (?) clock after the date came and went? Who else wants to lobby for one of those babies attached the 2023 Vlogmas vids showing days remaining for England videos upload? And then a count up clock come January. That way we can tease him come next Christmas - and have an official number of days counter! Like, is it really Christmas if Tyler hasn't broken out the carpet cleaner? Christmas traditions. : ) I hope you know this is all in good fun, Tyler. But it would be funny.
Love your Christmas village idea! My grandma had a really nice, big daddy Christmas village that she let my sister and cousins all pick 4 pieces each to put up in our homes. That way we all feel connected and think of each other when we have up during Christmas time. 🥰
I would wait until after Christmas to add to your collection...when it's discounted. And by the way, I really like Blue Nana's hair. She's looking very chic. I realize that using the word chic ages me but I'm standing by it! I'm loving vlogmas but I love your other vlogs as well.
I totally agree with you. My husband and I are recent empty nesters. One child just moved to Florida. The other is busy in college. It is such a big change, and I admit I am struggling with it. But my husband and I definitely want to travel more. Its fun getting reacquainted with your spouse again after children and doing couples only things. Anyway, I could totally relate to your conversation. ❤️
Tyler, I am the same. I like deeper conversations. Surface level bugs me. If we ever get to meet, ask me whatever you want. LOL I was an empty nester and then I got a beagle puppy. 🤪 It is definitely like having a toddler. LOL I know it is a season but teaching full time plus the needs of a pup is a lot. LOL I have some Christmas village pieces. I am super picky about what I get but I love them so much. You guys are going to have fun building your own collection. Definitely scope out Deptartment 56. They have some real cute Disney pieces. They are pricey but great quality. So glad you had a fun day. Love y'all to the moon and back! 💛🎄
We started our Christmas Village when my son was a baby. We got a new piece every year. He is now 22 yo and will still help his momma set it up. It's very special. Keep the tradition with your girls. It's definitely fun and worth it!🎄💕
My Grandma had a village. It was under her tree. She put the tree up on a base (I believe a metal box fan) and used a white tree skirt. This created a snowy mountain village! The people were all metal and hand painted. They were definitely from before my time. She even made a cardboard tin foil frozen pond for the people with ice skates. That village is my favorite Christmas memory ❤️
As much as I love seeing your daily activities, the girls and Tyler's carpet cleaning. My favorite part of vlogmas has to be when Your both hysterically tired and sitting on the floor chatting.😂❤ Its so relatable it's also the only time of day my husband and I get to catch up
My mother had a Christmas village. Dad placed it on plywood with the felt snow and placed it on top of a cabinet in the downstairs den during the holidays. She bought several at first, then that became one gift each year.
I'm like Tyler, I love probing conversation! I love the feeling when you realize you share a common interest with someone about something you can talk forever about! That's a real connection to me ❤❤
My MIL started a Dept 56 Dicken’s Village for me. She gave me a new one every Christmas until I had quite the collection. I love it and it reminds me of her ever time I put it up!
We have two daughters now in their 20’s and when they were toddlers, we started getting them each a piece of a Christmas village to build up complete sets for when they moved out on their own. They would set them up in their room when young and looked forward to getting a new piece each year. I teach 5th grade and this year one of my students actually started me out with two pieces to start a classroom village. How exciting!!!! Cannot wait to check out your brother’s website and RUclips channel! Anxiously awaiting tomorrow’s Vlogmas! Hugs and love! Susan in Maryland❤️❤️❤️
My Christmas village started years ago with a haul from a thrift store. Now every year I add a piece to it. It's grown large enough my husband built me a ladder shelf. I love setting it up and the kids love it to.
We bought a snow blanket from Target for our village. We were gifted one piece and are slowly building over time. We added twinkle lights between the pieces for an extra glow ✨
My family had a Christmas village growing up, always loved helping pick out a new village addition each year. My brother put it up at my moms house this year and it brought back all the nostalgia. I now have 4 kids (all little) so thanks for the reminder of this lovely tradition! I may start ours this year.
It is absolutely hilarious to me that, in the beginning of the vlog, Jessica talks about her love of seeing people pretend to conduct music with just their pointer fingers (00:27). Then, just minutes later (3:01) Santa does this very thing 🤣
I have a Christmas village! I’ve collected the nostalgic homes ornaments from Hallmark for years and make a village with them. I have every home they’ve made since 1984 😊I’m excited to watch yours grow!
We have a Snow Village we've been building from Department 56. My favorite part...we have some stuff from the Christmas Vacation movie. We have the Griswald House, the car with the tree on it, the RV, Cousin Eddie emptying 'the shutter's, and Clark and his son doing the Christmas lights, and a few other things. It's so fun!
My mom had a Christmas village she started in the 90's. We had the big console TV so she set it up on that each year. She would add to it. It got pretty big!
Hands-down, the best Christmas village is the department 56 dickens village series. Department 56 comes out with new houses every few years however, there is a ton of old ones on eBay. I am set to inherit a collection of 25 houses and they are so beautiful. It is a cherished memory of my childhood.
My mom used to own a gift shop. She was licensed to be a Department 56 representative. So my parents have like 200 homes all the figurines the trees, the snow, the felt everything. It’s freaking crazy. And yes, my dad does decorate before Thanksgiving.
I started collecting village pieces years ago, but I have thrifted all of them! It’s so fun to find a new one, clean it up, and add it to my collection.
I have a Christmas village. It was paint it yourself & they went out of business several years ago so now I add & change accessories every year. This year I got a Mickey & Minnie caroling set from kohls.
The camera cuts to you guys back in the car heading home…it was so much fun you left Gigi there. 🤣🤣 cracked me up. She just suddenly not there and no one says anything 😂
"there are so many sprinkles on our floor" legitimately thought you were making a metaphor for the busy-ness of life, but alas, you had sprinkles on the floor.
I loved my grandparents’ Christmas village - especially the ice skating that worked! As an adult, I love the idea of it but our house is small so storing it is an issue and we have little ones that I don’t want to worry about around it. I would say to check out estate sales throughout the year for more! Department 56 is THE brand for the villages
My grandparents had a village that each year my grandpa got my grandma for as a gift. I love them and wish I had room to have one! Maybe do as a gift each year from Santa for mom and dad ❤
I mean this w peace and love but it’s so funny to see you guys start your day all bright eyed and bushy tailed, and then to see the sit down chat at the end of your day, just totally exhausted 😂 the relatability
We have a snow village! We started it the year we got married. We pick out a new piece for it every year. It’s a fun tradition that we love. Our village has grown so much we are running out of space
Yaaaaaasssss! I love to dig in deep with conversations. Life is too short for say-nothing conversations. Tell me your thoughts! Tell me what's going on! Heck, if we're gonna talk about the weather, let's TALK about the weather! I'll tell you how the weather makes me feel! (I love that Central Indiana hasn't seen the sun since late November; clouds make me feel safe and cozy.) Keep on keeping it real! -Love from TheIndyGrrl/The Book Maven/Mel
My mom and grandma bought me pieces for my Christmas village throughout the years and gave them to me this year now that we finally have our own home :’)
We have collected Department 56 Dicken’s Village. They also have a Disney Christmas village too. Most of the buildings are over $100. It is more whimsical than their other lines.
Everytime Tyler says Europe Videos I hear Yurt Videos. It took me to this vlogmas video to realise it is the long awaited Europe trip videos. 😂😂😂 I got excited. I couldn't even remember when they went on a yurt trip. 😂😂😂😂😂
I had the same thought about putting together a Christmas village. I actually bought various buildings, little people and trees from Walmart. They had a shockingly great selection near their Christmas section ranging from like $15-$30. I went early though…like right after Halloween.
I love that half the vlog today was you two on the floor. Seriously, I laugh my butt off everytime! I'm also counting down to those Europe videos Tyler! Don't let me down, four years in the making! 😂 And please do some baking on this vlogmas, won't be the same without them!
25 years ago I bought a village from the Disney store. I have the Pooh village, It has all the houses, (rabbit’s, Kanga’s) and all the characters. I had to buy all the pieces separately. It cost about $300. It is my pride and joy. I still have the original boxes.
I’ve been watching a ton of Hallmark holiday movies and keep thinking that I’d love to see the two of you starring in one. You’d be perfect the perfect couple to root for - funny and charming, sweet and wholesome. It’s only day 4, but I’m going to be sad when vlogmas is over! Thanks for giving us these daily videos!
I inherited my husband's grandmother's Christmas village, and we've added a couple of new ones throughout the years. Being able to display the ones from is grandmother is such a blessing so if you are able to find some like that, take them. They're so special!
We are staring the village the same way you guys are this year and I absolutely loved them as a child too! I know they are a bit pricey but worth it so you can pass them down to your girls
My sister this year started making her own Christmas little sets with popsicle sticks and she painted them and got fake snow and lights on them and they look really good
Subscribed to your brother's channel. History was one of my favorite classes I took in college. So interesting of the world our ancestors lived and how far we've come
We have 2 Christmas villages! One is the style like yours, the other is Blue Sky Clayworks and they are funky and beautiful! We bought a couple pieces to start and then we've added over the years.
When you started talking about the Christmas village I got so excited lol! We started one a few years ago and LOVE IT! Walmart is amazing for them - we even have a Walmart store one LOL
Tyler’s mom looked especially beautiful in this vlog. Just wanted to point that out!
Came here to say this! (She’s always been very pretty) but this year she is glowing!!
I was going to say the same exact thing. Tyler's Mom is looking fabulous. Please send the compliments her way from the vlog squad!
I was thinking this too!
G Mama Braun looking FABULOUS!!!!!!! 😊😊
Came here to say just this. I’ve had the flu and have been watching past vlogmas videos. I came back across this one and my first thought was, “Blue Nana looks fantastic and 10 years younger in this video.”
Was no one else slightly disturbed to see them driving off with an empty baby seat? Where’s GiGi? 😂😂😂
Hahaha She rode with Nana back to our house! :)
Yes!!! I left the same comment and had to convince myself she was with blue nana
I think my favorite part of vlogmas is when you guys sit down at the end of the night and just talk and joke around.
Same ❤
Me too! It's like the consistent vlogmas tradition/schtick that they give us, and it's so comforting.
It’s always the best
Me too!
SAME
All we want for Christmas is for Tyler to tell us that he loves us 🤣🥺
I was thinking something similar at the beginning of Vlogmas 2023!
Hahahah, nooo. We can't bully him into it 😂😭
@@gullepuppsing Jess loves us, but Tyler does not 🤣 maybe he will grow to love us in time.

What a hoot. A mayoral race. I love it!
@susanferris it was so fun! We even had a side race for Comptroller 😂
Ohkay this is AMAZING 🤩🤩😂😂😂❤❤
You must work in politics to have a Comptroller race 😂
Haha! You would think so but no actually. Where we live (outside the US) we don’t have those at all, but hear about those from the US tv stations we get and think it’s obscure, which just makes Tiny Town even more funny 😄

lol I was also like " I *think* that's Tyler" and was trying to figure out how to enlarge the thumbnail 😂
I miss the morning coffee pour and Jessica showing us what cup she picked.

I’m with Tyler on meaningful conversations.
Blue Nana looks so pretty today. Well, always pretty but more sparkly and beautiful than normal. That red is definitely her colour.
You really went to see Santa in green and red sweaters LOL! Peak Mom and Dad style. Love it.
I was catching up on Vlogmas at work today and I *cackled* when you got to the "I love you guys - do you, Tyler? ...Maybe..." So thanks for that. 🤣
Blue Nana makes my heart so happy!! ❤
Also, I just realized how much I've missed the end of the night "close out" of the days vlog. Just love y'all!
Absolutely love seeing “blue nana!” If she had ever had a daughter wow she would be stunning! That lady is gorgeous and such an infectious smile! Sweet lady ❤
Okay the girls jacket propped up in the backseat freaked me out for half a second 😂
Blue Nana, you looked absolutely stunning at the Santa breakfast! Keep up the good work and graceful aging. ❤

I have been collecting a Lego Christmas village for about 10 years. At 33, I love it more and more each year.
I've never heard of that but it sounds cute!!
I'm surprised tiny Tyler wasn't hanging out in the tiny coffee shop.

Love Blue Nana’s blue glasses and her festive jewelry :)

Did you notice that the lamp post is more than 2 stories high? Ha! Very cute!

You’d be perfect the perfect couple to root for - funny and charming, sweet and wholesome. It’s only day 4, but I’m going to be sad when vlogmas is over! Thanks for giving us these daily videos!
First Meijer and now Menards? Y'all are coming for my Michigander heart. 😂
We’ve been building our village for 5 years. We get 1 new one per year as well!
I love your “potato sack” shirt!

Subscribed to your brother's channel. History was one of my favorite classes I took in college. So interesting of the world our ancestors lived and how far we've come

Tyler your mom looks fantastic! We bought a good chunk of our village Boxing Day. And we’ve added people etc over the years
We have 2 Christmas villages! One is the style like yours, the other is Blue Sky Clayworks and they are funky and beautiful! We bought a couple pieces to start and then we've added over the years.
Look forward to hanging with the brauns every December! ❤❤
I laughed so hard at the Family Guy reference 😂 ho HO ho!
Most satisfying part of my day was watching your before and after of the dishes. Thank you for that 😂❤💖
