There's far more insane and sick people in the world than yogis, and they actually need help. So it makes sense to study first to that sick people than to healthy and happy yogis who don't need help.
No one is perfect or their theories but they can add to our knowledge and wellbeing. Freud brought the existence and influence of the unconscious to the mainstream also the power of myths. We still say ‘oh that was a Freudian slip’ also his line that : Dreams are the royal road to the unconscious. We need to look at our own blind spots rather than look at others!

Jung I don't know he did it intuitively or not but he took the variable of time into consideration. Just for example- if I have a gap of 7 days between 2 sessions with a client of mine, i do take into consideration that some impact must have been there of those 7 days on psyche. As the nature is ever changing.

Bose sent his thesis paper to Freud named "Concept of Repression." Freud accepted his stereotypical flaws. In Patanjal Yogasutra, everything is explained and sorted already. We do not need Freud or Jung to understand Psychoanalysis, if I have to be brutally honest. Where Jung and Freud stop, Patanjal Yogâ Darsana begins there.

It happened with me. I was being too logical and skeptical about dreams that I was getting over years around similar topics and people in my life. I ignored but but somehow I idid not let them overpower me but somehow I clearly remem,bered some of the most impactful dreams. Later on the time went on , I understood that those dreams were not stories made by mind but the gateway to some broder understanding of some another dimension of life which I am trying to access with inner and hidden desire, things related to that got manifested later on and in amuch powerful way. I can tell which one of my dreams is not a regular dream. Mny a times it happened I saw an exact future snapshot of a future in a dream. But the thing is I forget them later and when this happens , I got to remember I have seen this before. People say it deja vu. but the thing is not every dream is of that kind. it is better to be meditataive.
I permanently have deja vu imperssions all my life. But I do not think that I have dreamt all my life in advance! I think thazt it is rather a precognition that runs a few hours or minutes before the real event. That gives you the feeling of the deja vu after the event happended. If that does not work out right we (I at least) feel unconfortable or alienated!
After learning about buddhism and eastern philosophy, my skepticism of freud and jung grew. I suspected that they were missing important parts to their understanding of how the mind works. After learning that they had never attempted to study an actual yogi or a person in meditation, and that Jung actually turned away the oppurtunity to talk to Ramanamharshi, I felt that they (Western psychologists like Jung/Freud) were afraid of something.
I haven’t meet a healthy person, we are all sick with something, unfortunately life is slowly killing us, and we just get to choose what substances we desire to consume that ultimately kills us faster.
I had 2 dreams recently. Not in the same night. In one dream, I got stabbed to death. In the other dream, I took some written test in school and I knew none of the answers. The stabbing dream wasn't scary. The test dream was. I am not joking.
Could it be that you are judging how scary the dreams were based not on how you felt while dreaming, but how you felt after waking up and confronting those dreams with your waking reality where (i assume) taking a test is something that could happen or that has happened to you (so you have reason to fear it) while getting stabbed is an irrealistic scenario?

I watch movies in my dream😅 and believe me, their story appears much much better than any Bollywood or tollywood movie. The last dream i saw was a mixture of horror and some ancient story, unfortunately I woke up in between. I was so disappointed, i really wanted to finish that story 😂. i'm starting to see some people are good at being a "facilitator" of expression. some people are good at taking an idea and expanding upon it... and some people are good at executing... it's the rigidness that tends to comes with expression that becomes problematic. even Sadhguru speaks "matter of fact" sometimes. i think he is aware of this, but i need to make sure i don't speak so matter of fact.
if you sit in a room and close your eyes.. or even if you are so focused that you don't notice anything else around, how is that experience better? i.e. is being aware of everything a good thing, or is it best to be so focused on the task in front of you, that you are not conscious of anything else? I've heard Sadhguru (Gita Wirjawan interview) say that he can close his eyes, and that the world disappears, and that he can do this for the rest of his life .. so I'm wondering how to reconcile that idea about action (karma). For example, strive to download all the karma from your personal-warehouse, blow as big of a life-bubble as possible. Life is about the profoundness of experience.. and that things like gossip, is an example of not-doing or experiencing and so it must be avoided.
