Hadn't realised there was so much behind those service/moorings away from the towpath, gated access etc. Ultimately when you rrach Tewitfield, remember you can walk along the abandoned canal to Kendal. Some diversions because of M6, but historic route. The Northern Reaches. Google! All the best. Paul.

Could do with some access ladders into the canal by me for access to my kayak lol. Always difficult on the canals getting in and out, safe to say I've never fallen in. Easier in the sea just walk in the sea and step onto kayak. Those swans 😮 o they are unpredictable in my experience kayaking as your head is at their head height too, had them attack me in the past my trusty paddle saves the day 😆 See ya have fun Kev the brinklow kayaker

Poulton-le-Fylde has a nine hole course and stanley park golf club near the hospital have fun cruising round lancashire lancasters a great town to wander round garstang have fun
If you can try and buy an oil stabilizer called Moreys , i'm an engineer and have used this for over 40 years and it is wonderful for diesel motors and any gear box's it keeps the oil from thinning out to much and keeps the lubrication at 100%
