I did. My 2nd child was sick at around 11-12 months old, the dr.'s thought she had leukemia, and I did exactly what the gentleman did. Got down on my hands and knees and ask for a special prayer to heal her. That was 37 years ago. And she's the one to turn me on to jelly roll this past Easter. The dude rocks.
One more thing to think about is we should not only ask for help and favors in troubled times but also thank God on a regular basis for the things that are good in our lives.
I talk to God often.. not that it is planned for each Sunday, each morning or whatever.. sometimes its a passing 'thank you' shit didnt go too badly today. When i DO pray, its usually for others. Why? Because I believe that I am supremely blessed no matter how bad I think things are... that's why I have thank you days.. xo

Not just that, but why, WHY would people have a problem about “throwing up Hail Mary’s” Hail Mary’s are only prayers asking His Blessed Mother to pray With And For us - NOT WORSHIPPING HER ABOVE JESUS. She was chosen before her own birth to be the Mother of the Son of God! The Holy Spirit entered her body and when it was time for the conception of Jesus, God Himself willed it to be. Joseph was essentially chosen by God to be father to his Son and teach Him the ways of life. As far as siblings of Jesus I myself have no idea. Personally for me, Jesus is Lord…God Himself is the only one above Jesus. The only way to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Personally I am drawn to Jesus through the fact He had an Earthly Mother. You guys don’t give her enough credit - she was chosen before her conception to be the Mother of Christ - the Son incarnate of God!!!!! The Son of God in the flesh! How lucky are we that he was chosen in this way to suffer and die to show how much our God loves us that He would put His only Son through that just to give each of us to save our souls from Hell’s eternal flame. I personally can’t think of a greater sign of true love for Humanity than that.
