I don't think aftermarket crash guards are bad those which are made with rnd . I think there is some other issue . Maybe not fitting it properly or bad quality crash guard and for that all the force got transferred from crash guard to the chassis . Although there was no crash for that maybe the jarks made the bolt loose and the engine was freely hanging which made the chassis break . I can say this , 90% of the Himalayan owners have an aftermarket crash guard . But they didn't face that issue . We can't judge the products with just 2 incidents out of 45k and we don't know what might have happened, who knows. Let's wait for a few months as these months are already trip months . So we can get any information regarding any damage if it happens . I too have an Himalayan. I would say one thing . One day when I went to the service centre. My bike accidentally fell , not actually fallen . I was trying to move the bike and I got slipped but i kept the bike on ground softly. Even after that the OEM crash guard already got a crack on it . I'm only using the OEM just because it looks minimal . Maybe I will have to add a slider to crash guard so that it doesn't break anymore . And i definitely think RE should work on the valve noise . RE already said it's normal , if the noise increases they are ready to help . But honestly the extra sound is irritating sometimes. But riding this bike feels amazing ❤, only it's top heavy while on a stop . And when riding , it's 😍😍
