  • In this message in the series on the book of Hebrews, we see how the old covenant and tabernacle is compared to the new one in Jesus.

Thank you pastor David for explaining in detail Hebrews chapter 9 :1-14 , I am listening it over and over again probably 3 or 4 times to understand the old way of ritual rights they performed the sacrifice. I now really could understand what a tabernacle is made of and all the inside intricate things with human hands. God bless you for this wonderful teaching. I am really blessed. I love your teaching verse by verse. Thanks be to God I could listen back to your old mssgs with this new technology.

Where in the Bible does it say anything about bells on the bottom of the robe and a rope around his ankle?

Exodus 28:33 and 39:24-26 says that bells were to be attached to the high priests's robe.
The idea of the rope tied around the ankle of the high priest was that in case he died, his body could be retrieved without enter the Holy of Holies, where one the High Priest could go.
That information is not found in the Bible, but from Jewish writings.

I find it so hard to truly appreciate what Jesus did for me in His life as a man (adding humanity to His deity) in the time running up to the cross, His death and His resurrection. I hear it, I'm beginning to understand from the word ( through your teaching ) but it's hard to take it in. I want to.
I'm thankful but that seems just so very inadequate.

      Sue,
Understanding there truth of there incarnation of Jesus is indeed a deep subject, but praise the Lord that you care so much.
We will spend all of our lives learning more about Jesus, so don't be discouraged if you think that you have a ways to go. We all are still growing in our knowledge of God, who is infinite. It's wonderful that you care, and that is a good sin of true conversion. God bless you!
