I used to visit this place in the late 90,s. It wasn't grown over in weeds and trees back then. Mr. Vickers had no problem letting us drive around looking. It was like going back in a time capsule. His prices were very good back then also.
I used to visit his cousin's junk yard near by, back in the 70's. Lol. Both guys are reasonable. The place is really grown up for sure but a great place to hang out and visit. He welcomes everyone to wander around for as long as you like. Glad to take you back in time and thanks for watching.
Yep. Want to adopt most of them and bring them back to life. Unfortunately I am too old to save all but we'll do the best we can with what we have. Thanks for watching, Allen.
He is a cool guy and so is the "Old Man" Terry. Tell Terry I called him a fossil, lol. You can easily spend the day there. Enjoy the trip and thanks for watching.
Cecil and Terry are cool guys. Prices are reasonable and he has some old, hard to find parts. I always enjoy going there. Thanks for leaving us a comment, Michael.
No 61's. I did run across a 66 or 67 but it it pretty nice and $$$. Check out my video on "Chevy's" at Classic Cars of SC. It hasn't been up too long. I'll keep an eye our for a 61 for you.
You found another good yard, this brings back memories of all the cars that were in the yards I used to hit for parts. You did find a rare piece in that 66 Lemans. I was stationed with a guy that had one with the OHV six and it ran pretty good. The old chevy that Tena liked looks like the 49 Deluxe I drove through high school. I hope you had a good veteran's day, after all it is our holiday. That wasn't a very hard one to guess about your next toy. I'm ready to hit some more yards, keep the videos coming.
Thanks, Jerry. USAF 68-72. I like the OHC Lemans. Heck, I would like to have the engine just for a shop ornament, lol. Never rode in one but my neighbor had a 62 Tempest with the 4 (389 cut in half). That little car would fly. We appreciate you watching.

It would be kewl if they had local Community Collage, Trade School and High School auto mechanics and auto body students (with instructors) go through these places (after some clean up) and evaluate the condition for useful parts or complete restorable vehicles (numbers matching prefered)? It would be good to relocate all of them somewhere to reduce further damage by their environment possible?
I used to teach Auto Mechanics at the local technical college. Most students in high school or tech have their own cars they are trying to work on and don't really have time for anything else. I agree with you that it would be a good idea for some auto classes to take in one or two project cars from these junk yards, fix and auction off at the end of the year. The money could go into an a fund for future projects and tools / equipment. Great idea!

Thanks, Don. The old "W" engines were cool. Lots of torque but heavy pistons. Rex White won the 1960 NASCAR championship with one of those engines. He was from my home town. We revisit Mr. Hudson's yard with video later this week.
Nice video and nice cars, thanks for showing. But it's a shame to see those cars rusted away. As I see it it's a cultural treasure being lost for ever. Sad. Hope that many of these cars get a byer and are being restored.
That is one of the main reasons for these video. Find a home for some of these cars. I hope someone comes to the rescue before it's too late. Thanks for watching.
Great video At 7:21 makes me sad/cry as I used to own one I restored before I moved back to the UK I would buy the Oldsmobile and restore it so I could relive old times
We ran through there so fast I didn't get to spend enough time looking at most of those cars.I like the body style of that Olds. Don't remember what condition it is in but would like to see someone restore it. Bet you have some memories in that car,, lol. Thank you for watching and leaving us a comment.
Mon with all those car's there you could pull out the most pulled apart car and make a sweet KUSTOM if the owner of that yard let you have any parts on the car. Draw it out on paper first. Then gather up all the parts and pull it back to the shop to put the body together. My buddy built his own Kustom 51 Ford shoe box using many diffrent car parts and it all look like went together like it was made for the car.
Watched the whole video and did not see any GTO'S. I am doing a 1965 Lemans hardtop into a GTO tribute with a 69 XF code 428/370hp motor. Looking for front and rear bumpers since mine are pretty rough. Any bumpers there? And any 64-74 GTO would have me come down for a visit from Delaware . Thanks Indyme2.
I remember seeing a Tempest or two but no GTO's. Pontiac stuff is getting hard to find. I missed a 421 Pontiac engine by one day. Man, I was sick. It was complete. Will keep my eyes open for you. Good luck with your project. Sounds great!
You may not believe this but it's true back in the 80s and 90s there were a lot of them 66 model chargers in mint shape they were built into stock cars also within the next 10 days I will be in South Carolina and I took these numbers and address down so I can pay this gentleman a visit thank you for the video wish there were places like that up here in the North
Joe, pay a visit to Cecil Vickers. He has brought in more cars since I shot this video. I have to go back soon and shoot more video there. He is a cool guy and loves for people to wander around for hours looking. Thanks for watching.
I remember in California bay area by my home right by the bay they had a huge wrecking yards until the inveromentelist came in and got rid of all the wreaking yards. All those old car's got either smashed or shipped off to other wreaking yards in the United States. I know this one guy moved to Texas to open a wreaking yard and took some of his car's truck's there.
@@indyme2 I thought it was only in California I remember a tow truck's driving around town in the mid 80's dragging car's truck's out of people's drive ways back yards. That messed it up for us guys that would buy the car for low buck and have it tow home to get it running. That's how I did my last car a 1947 Chevy coupe stylemaster had to get it running at home and needed a few other things brakes, radiator, tires
what a shame some of those cars rotting out in a field, i have a 1969 Torino GT 428. If those 2 Fords were cleaned up right they can bring a nice chunk of paper and gettin them back on the road lookin fine. sweet rides
Lol. I think he is a cash only kind of guy. I bought a tri-five rear, a 727 tranny and a Nova front suspension clip from him last week. Would gladly give him a worthless check. :) Thanks for watching.
Can't help you with the wife, Roy. Not sure anyone can, lol! Still some good projects left here but they are going fast. This video helped wipe out the best ones fast. Thanks for stopping in. Stay warm up there.
@@indyme2 "look at the pretty car honey... I'll fix it up just for you...." Might just work. lol naw, she's pretty good about the cars around here. Just wants a project done at some point.
I watched every minute of this video, yards here in the north car rot too fast and noone keeps the good classics. Heck you cant even walk the yards up here now a days...is it just me or could ya spend all day there?! I had a 70 charger 500 it was rough but still the biggest mistake I made was selling it!
Lol. I had a 70 Charger in great shape. 383 with a 4 speed. Like a dummy, I sold it soon after I got it. Go ahead...kick my butt. Thanks for watching, Tim.
I go there all the time. Don't tell everyone what's there, it's all mine. lol. Should mention there is a Vickers Auto Parts on down the road but it's not to be confused with Vicks Classic.
We were going there often too until the virus hit. I have something I paid for but haven't even picked up yet. Could spend days there, lol. Don't buy all my project cars, Daniel. :)
The guy that has a video with his wife called Russ lady and they were redoing her Studebaker or her Plymouth Valiant and you were redoing your automobile that was a great show it sounds like you
The IROC was cheap! It's battle scared with some hail damage but it's complete. Shouldn't be too hard a project. I'll probably just drive it for a while until I decide what engine it needs. Thanks for watching.
Very sad to see all those classic car slowly rotting away. In the same time glad the junk yard ower still has them rather than crushing them for scrap metal.
some of the cars you said are too rough to save or like the Rambler wagon being impossible to get parts for were wrong. I could restore many of them and would have loved to have that 58 Chevy 2 door to restore. If you were to see the cars here in northern Minnesota that get restored youd be amazed by how rusted they started out as.
I have some restored that I thought didn't have a chance. I guess if you have enough money, skill, time and patience anything can be restored. I like that 58 too. If it had a 348 in it I would have bought it. Hope someone saves them all! Thanks for watching.
@@indyme2 the 58 has been my brothers dream car for 50 years and each time he has tried to get one something prevented it. @@indyme2 cars up here rust away really fast because of the roads up here having so much sand with salt put on them to get rid of the ice in the winter. sand with salt on snow and ice makes it sticky and sloppy n wet so cars are basically given a salt bath all winter. the end result is those iron moths eat the bottom out of the cars in just a few years

@@todddenio3200 We are lucky here in SC, Todd. Rarely do we use salt on roads. Cars sitting and getting covered with pine needles is what hurts them here. The Ford Truck is a 1942-47 half ton pickup with a Dodge Pickup Truck Bed. What's known in the circuit as the "Ugly Duckling Years" Anyway does Mr. Vick have any 1971 Chevy Nova's ? I need a hood.

Not sure if it's there or not. I was there a few weeks ago getting parts for myself but didn't go to that area of the yard. I am going back this Friday if it doesn't pour rain and will check on it for you. I'll get some video too, weather permitting.
I don't recall if there were any Studes on the property or not. Would love to find a 53 Starliner for myself. Beautiful cars ahead of their time. We appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!
Hey could you tell if that was an original 4 spd shifter in that 66 charger with the blk nob ? It looks like it's definitely a shifter there and tall enough to be the original just curious.
I'm not sure, James. I am going back next weekend to give the yard owner copies of the video. I'll get some video for you so you can get a better look.
I don't recall, Anthony. He has so many cars and more are always coming in. Give him a call. He will know or will try to find what you need. Thanks for the comment!
I only showed some of the yard. More cars there and more arriving all the time. I spent last Friday there buying parts and saw many project cars not shown in the video that just needed a little love. My buddy built his own Kustom 51 Ford shoe box using many diffrent car parts and it all look like went together like it was made for the car.
I agree with you, SNOOP U 2. Lots of possibilities waiting there for someone. Thanks for stopping in.
Yep, the cash for clunkers bill also wiped out an untold number of classic cars. Such a shame.
If those 2 Fords were cleaned up right they can bring a nice chunk of paper and gettin them back on the road lookin fine. sweet rides
Wow I like half the stuff there think you'll take a check haha
Lol. I think he is a cash only kind of guy. I bought a tri-five rear, a 727 tranny and a Nova front suspension clip from him last week. Would gladly give him a worthless check. :) Thanks for watching.
damn how did I not see this one? And the cars. Make me wanna buy them and more.... now, how am I gonna explain that to the wife?
Can't help you with the wife, Roy. Not sure anyone can, lol! Still some good projects left here but they are going fast. This video helped wipe out the best ones fast. Thanks for stopping in. Stay warm up there.
@@indyme2 "look at the pretty car honey... I'll fix it up just for you...." Might just work. lol naw, she's pretty good about the cars around here. Just wants a project done at some point.
Nice video I gave you a thumbs up.
Thank you very much. We appreciate you being here.
@@indyme2
You are welcome.
Ford truck with a one ton Dodge bed. Old Folk did thing like that back in the day. Don
Thanks for the info, Don. Cool old rust.
totally overlooked the International Scout!!
Not sure it's for sale. He wouldn't commit, as I recall. I would have been interested in it myself. Thanks for watching.
It is interesting to watch this video! Like!
Thanks for watching, Stan.
I'm wiped that place clean of the 70 71 72 Monte stuff left that was good
Dang, Jared! Save a few parts for me, lol. It's a cool junkyard. Thanks for watching.
I think were long lost brothers..haha
I go there all the time. Don't tell everyone what's there, it's all mine. lol. Should mention there is a Vickers Auto Parts on down the road but it's not to be confused with Vicks Classic.
We were going there often too until the virus hit. I have something I paid for but haven't even picked up yet. Could spend days there, lol. Don't buy all my project cars, Daniel. :)
The guy that has a video with his wife called Russ lady and they were redoing her Studebaker or her Plymouth Valiant and you were redoing your automobile that was a great show it sounds like you
We are the same people. The Rust Queen is still working on her Valiant and my Duster right now. Thanks for stopping in, Danny. Love your comment!
Thanks for sharing brother!!!!! A Camaro!!!! Ya Buddyyyyyyyyy!!!! Cheers 🍻
The IROC was cheap! It's battle scared with some hail damage but it's complete. Shouldn't be too hard a project. I'll probably just drive it for a while until I decide what engine it needs. Thanks for watching.
@@indyme2 by
Very sad to see all those classic car slowly rotting away. In the same time glad the junk yard ower still has them rather than crushing them for scrap metal.
I agree. Hope they all get rescued. Thanks, chem dog.
How much for the whole place. Have cash. Retired and ready to move south!
Lol. You have the right idea. We all want this place. Thanks for watching.
Does the 57 Chevy have a replacement left quarter panel?
Not sure, Norman. Give Cecil a ring. Thanks for watching.
Klasse video my friend big like
Thanks for watching.
some of the cars you said are too rough to save or like the Rambler wagon being impossible to get parts for were wrong.
As for the Pontiac, my brother had a 65 Bonneville ragtop and my mom had a 66 Catalina wagon so they brig back memories. what are his prices on those 2? if possible can you message me instead of general posts if you can get that info? thank you
@@indyme2 cars up here rust away really fast because of the roads up here having so much sand with salt put on them to get rid of the ice in the winter. sand with salt on snow and ice makes it sticky and sloppy n wet so cars are basically given a salt bath all winter. the end result is those iron moths eat the bottom out of the cars in just a few years
@@todddenio3200 Can't reach you by pm. No info on your channel, Todd. Contact Cecil direct as I haven't a clue what he wants for the cars. The number is in the video. Good luck!
@@todddenio3200 We are lucky here in SC, Todd. Rarely do we use salt on roads. Cars sitting and getting covered with pine needles is what hurts them here. The pine needles trap water and result in rust. Hope you can get one of those dream cars to restore. Post video if you do. We want to follow the restoration.
The Ford Truck is a 1942-47 half ton pickup with a Dodge Pickup Truck Bed. What's known in the circuit as the "Ugly Duckling Years" Anyway does Mr. Vick have any 1971 Chevy Nova's ? I need a hood.
Sorry, there were no Nova' s last time I was there. I am going back soon and will ask anyway. Thanks for the info on the truck. I took another look at it on this video and it's so ugly that I actually like it. Could make a cool rat rod. Yep, gotta take another look. Thanks for watching and for the information on the ugly duckling truck!
You said you saw a 1962 dodge polara 500 2dr (just after the rambler) do you know if it's still there?
Not sure if it's there or not. I was there a few weeks ago getting parts for myself but didn't go to that area of the yard. I am going back this Friday if it doesn't pour rain and will check on it for you. I'll get some video too, weather permitting.
Thankyou very much I’ll be eager to see if I can get it 👍
love them 66 chargers.
Me too, Ron. This one is pretty solid. Wish someone would rescue it. Thanks for watching.
That '49 Chevy was nice, the one Tena wanted. Didn't see any Studes though, maybe in the other lot.
I'll get some video for you so you can get a better look.
indyme2 that would greatly appreciated. I didn't see any clutch but I'm just very curious. Thanks.
Y’all wouldn’t happen to have any 39 Plymouth would you?
Not sure. Give him a call. If no luck, try Tim Hudson. He has some old Mopars in his yard. Find Tim on some of my other junkyard videos. Good luck.
Hello love your show. By the way do this junk yard have any 73 Oldsmobile Delta 88 car's
I don't recall, Anthony. He has so many cars and more are always coming in. Give him a call. He will know or will try to find what you need. Thanks for the comment!
So sad to see all this historical cars. It hurts!
Yep, but he saved them from the crusher. Rescue one. I did. Thanks for watching.
loads of projects for sure
For sure. Thanks for watching, Drew.
They need to make him start cleaning that shit up
I bought a mustang fastback from him about a month ago
Great! I wanted one of the 1st gen fastback mustang's myself. Glad you saved one. Thanks.
Grizzly Rams how much did you pay if you don’t mind me asking........I live near this yard and I just wanted to know was his prices reasonable?
A lot of people would like to know where this great yard is at. What town or city is it close to?
Boy,I'd love to have just one so I could restore it. Where can I find one that needs work ?
Me as well it would be nice.
I only showed some of the yard. More cars there and more arriving all the time. I spent last Friday there buying parts and saw many project cars not shown in the video that just needed a little love. Like Cecil says, " Spend the day and bring lunch." Should be something you can build. PS: Just don't buy that 70's Nova gasser I discovered. I want it, lol.
@@David-yh5po Take lunch and spend a day. It will be be fun and you may find something you want to take home. There are many I want to bring home, lol.
Can you buy the car? Like the body not just parts?
Cecil will probably sell anything. Give him a call. Thanks for watching.
I would like to buy a dash board out of one of those old car's to paint up real nice put a sterio in it with all the light's and put it in my home like an entertainment center that would look real good in a man's cave. With a hub cap clock then pull the trunk and make a couch/sofa out of it. Heck a one whole car can make frenature out of it make side table's just with welding two rims
Lol,.Great ideas! Why didn't I think of these?
Lots of old cars , wish I could find me a chevelle but I got to finish the 64 first
The 64 is going to be sweet. A 64 Chevelle SS to match would be cool, lol. Thanks for watching.
That 66 Lemans OHC 6 4 Bbl is a rare motor.
Rare indeed, Stephen. I would like to have it myself. Thanks for stopping in and leaving us a comment.
I would love to find a place like that here in Seattle, Washington
I love this place. He will let you wander around for hours and encourages you to do so. Some great iron there that needs to be saved. Thanks for watching, Keith.
He seems like a good guy to deal with, hopefully his prices are realistic since many of those are purely parts cars now.
Cecil Vickers is very reasonable. Bought from him last weekend. Gives you an even better price if you offer to pull the parts yourself. Thanks for stopping in.
That's good to know, hopefully a lot of those pieces get saved now you've filmed them.
That Rambler wagon would make a nice and unusual resto custom.
@@CycolacFan We were looking at a 59 and 64 Rambler wagon just last weekend. The 59 is too far gone for me but the 64 is a fairly easy project. We may grab that one.

Is the four speed in the intro a Muncie m22?
Yes it is. I rebuilt it and it's going in my 67 Nova. Thanks for stopping in. Sorry for the late reply. I miss a post from time to time.
Dang I wish you would have shown the inside of Torino Gt
