Welcome to Episode 3 of Dumb Logic in Stepford County Railway! Today, we dive into the brand new Rayleigh Bay branch, exploring its quirky semaphore signals and the magical trains that need electricity (but can’t use diesel) yet still manage to run without it.

They're modernized semaphores. Semaphores that use LEDs and are controlled electronically instead of mechanically.

Or Stepford East is actually Stepford North (or West) , Airport West is actually Airport South, West Benton is actually South Benton, Leighton West is actually Leighton South.
Northshore still called North shore because it's at the North of the whole map.

There are a bunch more problems to do with semaphore signalling as well... For example, irl the yellow signals ("distants") do not show the aspect of the next signal, instead they show the aspect of every signal through the end of the section (in this case, RB-CB and CB-AS), and because of this, most boxes only have 2 or 3 yellow signals, in contrast to having them at every stop signal. Also, semaphores are meant to change as the last carriage of the train passes, which SCR didn't implement.
By the way, semaphores aren't exclusively controlled by levers; there are many places in the UK where modernised signalling equipment is being used (e.g. NX, IECC..) but physical semaphores are still on the tracks. Also, in terms of the signalboxes themselves, it looks like they would have been built at a time when levers were being used, in which case the stairs to enter the signalbox should be outside as irl the whole bottom floor gets used for mechanical interlocking when levers are operated.

2. Don’t forget to mention that it also applies with regular signals, the signal wait for the last carriage to pass and then it changes from Proceed to Danger

@@gibbo_303 What do I expect? Stepford County Railway 2.0 was in Development in November 2023, that’s 9 months, and apparently, there was going to be more to SCR, only till you realise the update was RUSHED, and that’s the community’s fault.
My opinions:
1. ( 4:03 ) Semaphore Signala are manual thus it would take time and aren’t suppose to be used to troll,and the devs have made animations for the signal.However, I do get why you feel that the signal look weird when you are getting signal trolled.
2. ( 5:26 ) SCR is meant to be an arcade game and not well as realistic as BR but in my opinion it would be nice to see some levers which are out of use
3.( 6:48 ) Across the network the overhead line equipment seriously needs to be added in some places like at Faymere green and Stepford Depot like you stated at 8:27 which currently don’t have and aren’t Newry - NH Edgemead - Rayleigh Bay MGTD - MGT (Waterline shuttle) and I think most parts of the network now have meshed OHLE
4.( 7:46 ) most likely to help drivers but still it’s unrealistic
5. ( 8:16 ) SCR are working on it seen by the pantograph button still not working and SCR 2.0 was the ground work for future more technical features.
6 ( 9:04 ) The class 800 is a bi-mode unit and the pantograph (button when it is added) will make it more realistic
7 ( 9:36 ) 3-4 is mostly likely added after the addition of the 385 and I seriously don’t get the extra unless track ether
8. ( 9:42) 2.0 is the groundwork and such features will be added in the future

2). If SCR was an arcade game, it would appear on an arcade machine
3). Agreed, if they are gonna keep it like that, they might as well let us drive via Morgantown fly over, newly harbour and on 508 without worrying about electricity

5). To be fair, it was the communities fault, SCR 2.0 had a higher potential ahead if it wasnt for their patience, causing SCR to rush the iupdate
