This movie is hilarious to me, and they're a fun lil semi-toxic couple, my only real problem is they aren't on equal playing fields. I hate that they make it seem like Jessica is completely right in the stuff that she says. Like yeah Christopher was egotistical, but his perspective makes sense, he was right, and the speech she gave to the reporter at her house was exactly what he said. And some lil comments, like before their big fight, she asked him "do you really think Im bossy" and he says no he thinks she's amazing, like no, that girl is bossy and has a bad attitude. I hate when stories like this make the girl seem flawless and only hold the guy accountable. She should've learned and grown too. Stories like this lack substance to me a little, cuz in the end he says he's wrong about everything when that's not the case. They can make up, but it needs to feel more like a compromise. Like Camp Rock for example did it better, she held him accountable for his attitude, and he held her accountable for constantly lying. High School Musical is the only one that did everything right imo, Troy definitely needed to apologize to Gabriella (and so did everyone else), that girl was the victim. F the gossip, Sharpay is one of the villains
@ this is something I also hated in Lemonade Mouth. That scene where Olivia yells at Wen, first calls him ridiculous when he was expressing himself, then says “you have a family, your dad, your sister, Sydney. I don’t even remember my mom, I haven’t talked to my dad in years and you have the nerve to feel sorry for yourself?” Although I was getting annoyed with Wen for his attitude and didn’t feel like it was THAT deep, that is NOT what he needed to hear, and she completely invalidated his experience. That makes me not want them together, cuz while he empathized with her many times, they all even sang More Than A Band for her, she didn’t reciprocate his same care. That’s a one sided relationship. Good that it made me learn to not complain. And I get how it’s hard for her to hear him complain for his privileged experience, but he has ever right to feel how he does about it. She handled that conflict terribly. The girls in these movies usually do, like Roxie slapping Cyrus in Let It Shine was a lil too far. Only example I can think of the girl being good was my girl Gabriella (until High School Musical 2 a little bit, but the real communication flaw was from Chad, he was HATIN)
It’s just because she heard her sister talk about him over and over and over and over and over and over again she’s getting sick and tired of hearing him so when she met him, she was like oh my God I’m just gonna have to hear him again and again and again
That might've made sense at first, but it's like Lakia said. He proved to her he wasn't a snuck-up, bratty celebrity and she hated him literally for no reason.
Head injuries are actually more serious than you realize. It can be like you said, getting hit in the head by a door in order to give you a concussion which is not good
A lot of people hate on Danielle “Jessica” in this movie because she was “annoying” and constantly grumpy but you gotta think about it logically. Her older sister Sara seems to have been obsessed with Christopher Wilde probably much longer than we realize. Maybe that obsession started when they were much younger which caused Jessica to hate him. Maybe for Jessica, Sara’s obsession with him possibly messed up any possible bonding chances that they might’ve had growing up, not to say that they aren’t close because they are but….all Sara talked about was him and it clearly annoyed Jessica. Also, Jessica is a literal teen, and definitely like 15-16….what teen doesn’t act overly annoying and grumpy at things? Plus in the age of boy bands, there’s a difference between being a fan versus being borderline obsessed. In real life, Sara would’ve for sure have gotten herself into some trouble with the Christopher Wilde obsession especially since it seems like she would’ve almost been willing to go to any lengths just to see and meet him, whereas let’s just say that Jessica was a fan start the start….she’s more chill about it. When you’re younger, sometimes hearing someone in your life for years talk about the same person over and over again….it can cause some anger.
don’t let them silence you!! (jokes) but seriously I didn’t rlly mess w this movie growing up bc she genuinely agitated me and so did he LMAOO the music hits though
