I recently picked up a bunch of common, uc and a few holos from neo genesis for super cheap. So I’m gonna get the whole set ! Don’t care about condition as much, I actually like when vintage cards are a little dinged up, reminds me of being a kid and are much cheaper.
Here's my goals for this year:
- Get more cards graded. I also want to get some pre-grading tools like one of those magnifying glass things and a centering tool to make sure I send in good cards. Grading is about 25-30€ per card and takes 3-4 months for me, so I want to make sure I don't waste time or, more importantly, money.
- Get rid of some bulk. The bulk-filled ETBs are slowly piling up...
- Work on my self-control as to not open as much sealed product, lol.
- Find some fellow collectors in my area to share the hobby with. I'm kind of on my own here.
- Keep growing my sealed collection with the right items (talking ETBs and booster boxes, trying to avoid any random collection boxes/other items that inflate price per pack with anything that's not a pack or a promo).
- Do all of that while working a full-time job and getting a college degree =P

I just started an Instagram to work towards getting my miniature painting commission side hustle off the ground as part of a longer term plan and my wife said something that really motivated me.
"If you're ever feeling bummed by a low amount of likes on your content, don't get too discouraged. Just think, if you had 30 or 40 people in your room asking you to look at your stuff, you'd probably be pretty overwhelmed with excitement. You gotta start somewhere and grow."

Im only buying Simplified Chinese cards in 2024. Their boxes are absolute 🔥
Also the cards are cheaper than English and Japanese, but they’re printed in Japan so the quality is 👌

One of my goals for this year is to master class paradox rift. I’m really liking this set and it’s has been so fun to open got my first decent pull today as well I got the iron hands illustration rare. I’m still new to Pokémon TCG but I’m loving it I’m basically addicted it’s all I can think about.😂

Im a new to collecting sealed stuff my goal is to choose quality booster boxes to keep sealed i collect with my little brother and eventual when hes my age i will have kept all the cards from when he was kid like i wish i did and maybe he can sell a box or 2 to get his 1st car in 10 yrs

My goal is to complete Ancient Ruins set. I pulled the Mela SR on my first ever pack. My time limit is probably June. I need a few of the bigger cards. So need to make extra income to get

MY GOAL FOR 2024 IS TO COLLECT ONE OF EACH OF THE ONE PIECE BOOSTER BOX'S, FOR POKEMON 1 CHILLING REIGN BOOSTER BOX, 1 EVOLVING SKIES BOOSTER BOX, AND 1 BRILLIANT STARS BOOSTER BOX.

It is so difficult to do everything! Wanna buy some big singles from sword and shield, wanna invest in some booster boxes and slabs too. Everytime got some money to spend cant resist the urge to buy some packs to rip haha

goal for 2024 is to try and stop opening packs and keep some sealed product and biggest goal is to buy celebrations box and send metal card in for grade to see if i can become rich lol

Question, for the huge cards like the Umbreon, Giratina, Lugia and others, are you pulling those from booster packs or are buying those from individuals/stores?
A bit of both. I prefer to pull them all myself but sometimes that’s just not reasonable. I bought the moonbreon, pulled the Gengar and lugia, so it all depends

@@ThePokeOffice giratina of course, and two other alt art cards... Lol. We have the Aerodactyl alt art. Only missing 4 in trainer gallery. Pikachu vmax is one of them. Don't have the giratina gold either...

The best way to do it is to have a long term goal and then lay out short term goals that well get you to completing that long term goal. Write these goals down you will be 70% more likely to achieve them compared to not.
Good advice
I just did this for my longer term goal of retiring from my current line of work by 55 and wrote down stepping stones along the way to keep me on track and motivated

I've been lurking for a bit, tonight was my first night back in school at the age of 32. I was decompressing after class which was after a full day of work and it went well. Then I lurk back and you're talking goals and intentions. Cool timing. Sorry I wasn't subbed sooner lol

First edition Team Rocket is more for the long term, still need a lot of rares.
Fossil first edition in the Dutch language, same story...
Another goal for this year is to create a game / Pokémon room. We have a great space for that on the second floor. My wife and kids will be part of the project too, so it will be a lot of fun!
