    How did you get ATTACK! FLARE GAUGE “EX”! instead of GAUGE “VIII”?

    • @nobarben
      @nobarben  11 месяцев назад +1

      Once you clear Hou 鳳 the first time, it unlocks all Flare Gauges for use on any song (for the same playstyle: Single or Double) when playing a Galaxy Mode credit. This wasn't my first time passing Hou, so I already had the Flare Gauges unlocked.
      I played my Galaxy Stage on Flare EX and the more difficult EX Gauge carried over to the ENCORE EXTRA. If I used something lower than Flare VIII, the Encore Extra would default back to Flare VIII.

      I believe you might be the first person to clear ENCORE EXTRA using Flare EX.
      If I’m right, or (well either way), nice job on the clear!

      After clearing Hou the first time,
      do you know if THIS can happen?
      Can a person still go to ENCORE EXTRA with any Flare Gauge with assist options? (i.e.: CUT/FREEZE OFF/JUMP OFF)

    • @nobarben
      @nobarben  8 месяцев назад

      At this point in time, you can use Assist options on Galaxy Stage (i.e. cut, jumps off, etc) to progress to Encore Extra. However, having any of these options active prevents you from selecting a Flare Gauge (it will switch to a normal gauge)
      Conversely, you have a Flare Gauge selected, the game will not allow you to choose any assist options (I can't remember if it outright blocks you or if turning on an assist option automatically turns off the Flare Gauge options)

      @@nobarben Thanks for that. What that means is that whoever wants to do Hou CSP on Flare EX will now have to clear the Galaxy Stage on CSP Flare EX.
