    It's not that costly to make HID projector headlights as standard across all models. Halogen on a "luxury" car? Gtfo.

    It is so interesting that 4 years later, my 2015 328i has NEVER been in the shop. Not once. I have 88K miles on her, and I drive her like the beast that she is even with the expertly tuned 4 cylinder engine. Car still looks amazing, might be a scratch or 2 on the back bumper, I think. The complaints and nitpicking are obvious newbie buying mistakes. Even if you had 3 bimmers, you can still be a newbie. throughout this comment thread are bright as day. Anyway, I'm about to upgrade to the Tesla S these days- but my 328i has thoroughly impressed me. The ONLY thing I hate are those headlights smh. Great review, and blast from the past as I caught it 4 years late lol.

    If you never own a German car you'll never understand. Pure driving machine. To own you have to have a good bank roll. But then again I don't know to many people that want to own them pass 4-5 years because the free Maintance expires and that's when it gets costly. In saying that the are awesome cars to have.

    For those saying that they won't buy a four cylinder, the 335i has a naturally aspirated in line six cylinder engine. I dont understand why anyone would pay so much more for a car with worse fuel economy and a little more power they're never going to use. Also, someone posted that the 320i and the 328i have the same engines, while they are both four cylinder two stage turbos, they're tuned differently. The 328i make 60 more horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds compared to the 320i's 7.1 seconds.

    • @BelgianPapi
      @BelgianPapi 8 лет назад +2

      You don't buy a 335i for fuel efficiency. You buy for more power and a sportier ride and it is NOT naturally aspirated it has always been turbocharged only the F30 this year has a inline 6 cylinder 3.0l twin scroll single turbocharger. The 328 is a 2.0l 4 cylinder and uses the same turbocharger as the 335i.

Sorry the car is junk for the price tag. We are looking at tlx's, is350's, and q50's now. Never again will money be spent on a bmw that has to go to the dealer every two weeks.

    Don't buy. My gf's 2012 has had tons of issues in the last 6 months and she only has 30k miles. She's had her coolant tank leak, her mirror led's burned out on both mirrors, her horns broke, her tail light randomly fell off, her oil pan was leaking, and now today she got a message saying there was a camera malfunction. If you wanna buy a cheap car expect issues. You don't expect that many issues when you pay $48k for a car. Never again would I tell someone to buy one.

    • @TheItsmegp46
      @TheItsmegp46 9 лет назад +6

      Ghazi Al-Baghdadi So, you're suggesting its a hit or miss proposition? At BMW prices, NO ONE should expect these kinds of issues.

    • @TheItsmegp46

      Ghazi Al-Baghdadi If you think so, go hang out at a BMW service garage. I guarantee you there won't be anyone sitting around because he's got nothing to do.

    • @TheItsmegp46
      @TheItsmegp46 9 лет назад

      Ghazi Al-Baghdadi First of all, it wasn't my GF that bought the BMW, it was impreza22bbs. Second, I never said all BMW's are defective. My own personal experience with BMW was the purchase of two 3 series cars. While it wasn't as bad as the originator of this thread it wasn't particularly good either. As a matter of fact, just about any other car I bought for myself and my family has had a better repair history. Those include, Honda, Acura, Pontiac, Toyota to name just four.

    • @alex91008
      @alex91008 9 лет назад +9

      That's what you get for buying a first model year vehicle, especially a car with a brand new engine. It's widely known that the first model year will have some quality issues (especially in luxury cars) and smart buyers will usually wait for the second or third year to give the manufacturer some time to iron out the kinks. I have a 2013 328i with 45k miles and it's had no problems so far. It's an absolute amazing car but when I test drove a 2012 before I heard rattles and squeaks in the interior and the engine was noticeably louder and more diesel like than my car and a little rough around the edges when accelerating. Those are all things that they've fixed or improved on in the second model year. When it comes to reliability BMW is average but you always want to avoid the first model year.

    • @MrCarGuy
      @MrCarGuy 9 лет назад

      alex91008 Yeah, it sounded bad because they didn't have the "engine audio stimulation" pumped through the vehicles then. The reality is that all N20B20s sound diesel-like naturally because of the high compression and direct injection (two features borrowed from diesel engines). It's something that's going to happen with a small and strained highly efficient powerful engine. After the fake interior sound was added, the speakers cancelled out the "bad" noises produced by the N20. If you ever want to remove the setup for the audio stimulation (in the trunk), you'll hear the natural engine note again.
