I feel like if there is a piano in a background shot then animators should be able to just do what saves time, but if its the main thing in the scene (or if its a movie about music like this too) then they cant get lazy on it. They have millions of budget, taking a bit more to get a pianist to tell them where to put the fingers at worst should be easy
I mean from the sounds of things he was using a backwards/mirrored/reversed piano. They do exist. This could also mean that Johnny is left handed but that's neither here nor there really
