I hate that the store is closing soon. We're about like 4 weeks from now before the shutdown, if I'm correct. We've had some old games being shutdown like GTA 5 Online for last gen, Halo on last gen, even I've heard Battlefield Bad Company 2 has shutdown. I hate that newer things take over old things, but it's just part of life, so we can't have something forever.

Well at least there not shutting the console down as theres still a lot of 360 games i play on my 360 from time to time as even though there are some games you can play on the series x most of them you can't and its for this reason you still need the 360 to preserve this part of gaming history but alas come the 29th of july a part of history will be lost forever & moveing forward this is the prob with digital games without physical games history in gaming is lost and there is nothing we can do about even though its us the gamer that give these companies there bread & butter. End of the day i think moveing forward we should be giving a choice if we wanna pay a little extra for a physical so be it we should be given that choice just as if we would prefer going all digital with the money off offers down the road though game pass we should then be giving that choice don't you all agree ❓🎮🕹🏆

No doubt the 360 days of gaming was the better & the best days of gaming but a lot has changed since then like game graphics but i do really miss 360 arcade though with gaming licences it's hard to keep esp when the 360 was coming to the end of its life

I was a lad that did not experience the 360 in it prime but in these days the 360 is still active and fun mw2 bo2 gears 3 halo 3 and reach and 4 are so fun I’m trying to buy as much as I can on the marketplace before shut down
I experienced the later half of the 360's life so I wasn't able to be there for the launch. But man my time spent in like 2009 to 2014 on the 360 was awesome. I'm so happy people are still around playing it!
fun fact about XBLA demos, it's actually the full game, and using an RGH'd console you can unlock it to play said game's full version. i downloaded tons of game demos that were delisted about a year ago, and i'm happy i did. also bought a few games cause of the sale, but mostly saved my money since the VAST majority of games on sale are on steam at a similar price, and the money you'd save buying the game would be nil anyway, if you're trying to buy DLC and get the "complete" game.
The portal 1 demo is another example of this but you can actually bypass one of the last levels of the demo to continue playing (cause it technically includes the next level in the maplayout; they did this cause of the paywall before that next level incase someone would buy it in that moment they could continue playing). Theres a video on how to do it but, from what i remember, you essentially have to place a portal on the edge of the wall close to the ceiling and another portal right next to it. The second portal should "glitch" and place itself on the wall outside the map and then it's a matter of moving thru an empty void carefully to thru the next level
Xbox shouldn't shut down the marketplace if Microsoft doesn't want to make money from the marketplace they should make it free to preserve gaming history.
Sadly that's not just up to them but I would love that. The thing with their backwards compatability even proves it microsoft went to the companies and said we'll do all the work coding it and will make it play better and make them 5 bucks but gaming companies started refusing because of Rockstar releasing garbage like the gta collection for 60 bucks using ai. Why sell them for 5 bucks when you can hire random cheap companies which will do all the work with ai and 2 employees then charge gamers full price for max profit

What I am sad to see is the end of the XBOX360. That console apart from it's rocky launch with the RROD issues had grown into a stellar machine that was still being pushed on a technical level around the time the XBOX ONE was in it's conception stage and Halo 4 being one of the last games for the system Halo 4 was a technical achievement in itself but not everyone could appreciate the efforts 343 Industries went through knowing their first game was being developed on a 7 year old console at that point in time knowing the XBOX ONE was just right around the corner and what we got was a decent game but nothing could even come close to the legacy Bungie left behind. All of the memories we have made with the console in playing with friends,sending messages and trash talking was the highlights of so many OG people and you can all feel proud to say you survived a Call of Duty Lobby. Like what I am going to miss the most is the experiences of staying up all night going though so many XBOX360 games and loving every minute of it I will forever miss the feeling of going to midnight launches for a brand new game and meeting new people who are fans of the games you love. The XBOX360 as a console united everyone and it is that shared passion that is lacking in the XBOX Series X/S today. Going in on Digital has stripped XBOX of it's own identity with GamePass and it's core audience has either moved on in life or they have gone back to playing on older hardware and because of this,this is why XBOX is shutting down the XBOX360 store. To kill it off once and for good. To stop other people going back to checking out their legacy titles. Like we will gladly give them money but they don't respect their own core audience who has been with them on Day 1. It's decisions like this why people are not buying XBOX consoles and instead are buying games on Steam.
I think halo 4 could have benefitted from launching on the xbox one, maybe being a launch title? Idk. But I agree, I 100% wish microsoft kept prioritizing physical games because I looooove owning my games and holding them. I just hope they don't go all digital that would actually suck
Have you tried logging in on the Microsoft website and doing it that way? I ended up doing that because I ran through the same issue. It worked for me. Worth trying if you haven’t done so already. Been buying up exclusive 360 games that way with no problem.
@@thereaper9149 if you are logged in already on your Xbox 360 / Xbox live account try looking up the game you purchased. Select download again if it says you already own the game and you should get a list of the games you have purchased showing pending download. That’s how I was able to pull it up.
@@thereaper9149 another thing worth mentioning no matter how much I tried to log in to my live account on my Xbox 360 it wasn’t working. Then what I did was take out the hard drive, turn on the console and selected download updated software. Once I did that I put the hard drive back in and then was able to sign in to my Xbox live account with no problem. Just thought this was also worth mentioning because I’ve been seeing people say they keep getting an error when trying to log in to Xbox live. After doing all this I was able to retrieve all the games I purchased on the Microsoft website. Hope all this helps! Those games are getting stupid cheap so would hate for you to miss out on playing them.

Just so everyone knows, you don't need to buy the gamerpics and themes that you want, because you can get pretty much everything for free if you look online. All you will need a USB stick. That way you can save a few extra bucks to buy the games that will disappear.
They should preserve the Xbox 360 marketplace. I hate the fact I won't be able to purchase certain Avatar items and games. Moreover, they should keep Avatar awards and remove the region thing from the marketplace because it's annoying...

You'd probably have to search on the computer and buy them from there since searching for it on the 360 is next to impossible. FYI each picture pack is $1.00 a piece but so worth it.

Definitely look into downloading them onto a hard drive if you can cause just keeping them in your library does mean its safe. I tried doing that with the first Chivalry game and when i went to redownload it, the game's page was just completely removed from the store, and my pins, as soon as i clicked on it.
Sure, you can save more money from the sales for the digital version, but I much prefer to get the physical (IF AVAILABLE). One reason being to build up your collection. Second, you don't have to worry when it's gone from the marketplace, as you can get it later on, years even. HOWEVER, I highly do recommend buy curtain games that's exclusive to buy only from the 360 marketplace, if it doesn't have a physical copy or it's backward compatible. Also, Games that have physical copies, would possibly have collector's edition that includes any and/or all DLCs. Overall, please do research and be smart when buying the games
I’m pretty sure you don’t even have to fully download anything in order to still have access to it after the shutdown. As long as you initiated the download, it’ll be in your download history allowing you to then redownload it in the future
I wish my 360 would let me sign in. It would keep giving me an error for some reason. I don’t have Xbox live so maybe that’s why? But I have no clue since the account I’m trying to use works just fine on everything new
I got that problem too! Try researching the error code it gives you, I was able to find a whole list of error codes and their meanings and I was able to fix the issue and log in!
I had the same issue. Now what helped me was removing the harddisk from the console, and start without it. Then, after booting up, shut it down again and attach the harddisk again. Start again, and eventually you are able to login to your account again. At least this worked for my login problem, after I had not turned on the console for over two years. Good luck!
@@djdano2k Ty! Yesterday I figured out that I could just make a new account since I was trying to use the same email as a new account & got Xbox game pass which does work apparently. I was also able to add funds through Xbox gift cards which was rad & got some free demos. There’s going to be stuff I miss out though because I can only spend so much lol

Why bother, just get even download on Xenia emulator for pc, and xbox360 Roms. then you can preserve all the games for free, I think Microsoft owe us that, they can't complain now that they shutting down the dlc and game store, this is fair game now Am I right guys? As an xbox360 user and one who spent more than £2900 on Xbox stuff since the 360 I think i can safely say Microsoft owe me, especially now they cut us all out of the shop on 29th July. Microsoft are only instigating more piracy, call me Jack the fucking Sparrow then. Wondering why people talk about cheap games on xbox360 now it's shutting down even free games, but then to get all content before servers cut out new downloads means you have to buy the DLC too which is $$$$ total ranked up even for free games and 2-5 dollar games, the total spending is actually 2k dollars to get 1 3rd of the good games.

there's several old Capcom games that never got ported forward to xbone and series x/s that are really frustrating to me, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix was a really sick alternate version of street fighter 2 made for the 20th anniversary of street fighter with art by the street fighter comic book artists and a bunch of new remixed music by the OC remix community and it never got ported forward. Street Fighter 3rd strike Online Edition is the best version of that game imo because it has new removed music and a bunch of different alternate colors for the characters that weren't there and training mode and trials that helped you get better at the game if you never played it before and it's so much better than the street fighter anniversary collection version. Darkstalkers Resurrection is similar to this having 2 of the darkstalkers games with a lot of those training mode and trials and a 3d modeled arcade with different arcade machines you could look at but it also never got ported forward
i just bought Life is Strange 1 on 360 there is no physical copy so when the store closes it'll be lost forever, i alreeady have the xbox one version but i like that it has a seperate achievement list
Eh I don't think so. The 360 is a gaming console, the one way to buy games for the console is being taken down. Over 1500 games are going to be gone along with avatar creation stuff, gamer pics, themes, add ons for games. A big chunk of what makes the 360 what it is will be gone forever

I always downloaded "demo's" when the 360 was new. Those games will be stored somewhere. There has to be an employee that feels the same.way. I played the 360 early on before the One came out, and started back playing games mid to half past Xbox1. Did the 360 Dashboard sell XBOX 1 stuff towards the end? I now play everyday.
99.9 % of all the demos and free arcade games are no longer working because the lic trigger from no server connection is now dead. also i cant seem to play any game because it wants to update or be connected online.

You can still download them after the store closes, you just won't be able to buy them. Unfortunately for me, Tornado Outbreak is not on the UK store. But Legend of Spyro and Dark have been added to my considerable collection. So no ridiculous ebay prices for me. (Honestly thought I had Dark on disc, so i looked through my 300 plus xbox 360 disc collection and found I didn't. Also the backwards compatible games are not gonna disappear. PS: I love Asura's Wrath, it's backwards compatible, it shouldn't be one of the games that disappear.
We aren't losing these games forever technically. If you hack your Xbox 360 you can get access to all of the games that you won't be able to officially buy after the marketplace is gone. It's not too hard to do it, you could do it in less than an hour and a half. There's also emulation which is extremely easy if you have a decent pc with a dedicated graphics card. It's really sad that the Xbox 360 store is being shut down, because Microsoft is the second biggest tech company in the entire world behind Apple, but they can't afford to keep the marketplace up? No, they could keep it up but they're losing a small amount of money by doing that so that's why they're shutting it down. 17:15 It didn't have to come to an end yet, which is the worst part. You should make a video where you learn about supply and demand. Just to help you out a little bit, the supply of physical 360 games is much lower than the demand currently. When this happens prices go up. If there were copies of NFSMW laying around in the woods and on every street corner it'd be practically free.

Honestly I'm not completely sure but I have noticed that too, loading a game on the marketplace takes like 10-15 seconds for me. It could've always been like that and I just haven't noticed till after looking back all these years later, Idk but I have noticed it is a bit slow at times

You're Router might be 5gz but 360 can only connect with 2.5gz. Try checking and getting a cheap 2.5 compatible wifi extender.

That console apart from it's rocky launch with the RROD issues had grown into a stellar machine that was still being pushed on a technical level around the time the XBOX ONE was in it's conception stage and Halo 4 being one of the last games for the system Halo 4 was a technical achievement in itself but not everyone could appreciate the efforts 343 Industries went through knowing their first game was being developed on a 7 year old console at that point in time knowing the XBOX ONE was just right around the corner and what we got was a decent game but nothing could even come close to the legacy Bungie left behind. All of the memories we have made with the console in playing with friends,sending messages and trash talking was the highlights of so many OG people and you can all feel proud to say you survived a Call of Duty Lobby. Like what I am going to miss the most is the experiences of staying up all night going though so many XBOX360 games and loving every minute of it I will forever miss the feeling of going to midnight launches for a brand new game and meeting new people who are fans of the games you love. The XBOX360 as a console united everyone and it is that shared passion that is lacking in the XBOX Series X/S today. Going in on Digital has stripped XBOX of it's own identity with GamePass and it's core audience has either moved on in life or they have gone back to playing on older hardware and because of this,this is why XBOX is shutting down the XBOX360 store. To kill it off once and for good. To stop other people going back to checking out their legacy titles. Like we will gladly give them money but they don't respect their own core audience who has been with them on Day 1. It's decisions like this why people are not buying XBOX consoles and instead are buying games on Steam.
I think halo 4 could have benefitted from launching on the xbox one, maybe being a launch title? Idk. But I agree, I 100% wish microsoft kept prioritizing physical games because I looooove owning my games and holding them. I just hope they don't go all digital that would actually suck

Have you tried logging in on the Microsoft website and doing it that way? I ended up doing that because I ran through the same issue. It worked for me. Worth trying if you haven’t done so already. Been buying up exclusive 360 games that way with no problem.

@@thereaper9149 if you are logged in already on your Xbox 360 / Xbox live account try looking up the game you purchased. Select download again if it says you already own the game and you should get a list of the games you have purchased showing pending download. That’s how I was able to pull it up.
@@thereaper9149 another thing worth mentioning no matter how much I tried to log in to my live account on my Xbox 360 it wasn’t working. Then what I did was take out the hard drive, turn on the console and selected download updated software. Once I did that I put the hard drive back in and then was able to sign in to my Xbox live account with no problem. Just thought this was also worth mentioning because I’ve been seeing people say they keep getting an error when trying to log in to Xbox live. After doing all this I was able to retrieve all the games I purchased on the Microsoft website. Hope all this helps! Those games are getting stupid cheap so would hate for you to miss out on playing them.

An easy fix for that is to buy a gift card, login & redeem it on the Microsoft website. It’ll load onto 360. I kept getting that error code yesterday.
Just so everyone knows, you don't need to buy the gamerpics and themes that you want, because you can get pretty much everything for free if you look online. All you will need a USB stick.
That way you can save a few extra bucks to buy the games that will disappear.
They should preserve the Xbox 360 marketplace. I hate the fact I won't be able to purchase certain Avatar items and games. Moreover, they should keep Avatar awards and remove the region thing from the marketplace because it's annoying...

You'd probably have to search on the computer and buy them from there since searching for it on the 360 is next to impossible. FYI each picture pack is $1.00 a piece but so worth it.

Definitely look into downloading them onto a hard drive if you can cause just keeping them in your library does mean its safe. I tried doing that with the first Chivalry game and when i went to redownload it, the game's page was just completely removed from the store, and my pins, as soon as i clicked on it.

Sure, you can save more money from the sales for the digital version, but I much prefer to get the physical (IF AVAILABLE). One reason being to build up your collection. Second, you don't have to worry when it's gone from the marketplace, as you can get it later on, years even. HOWEVER, I highly do recommend buy curtain games that's exclusive to buy only from the 360 marketplace, if it doesn't have a physical copy or it's backward compatible. Also, Games that have physical copies, would possibly have collector's edition that includes any and/or all DLCs. Overall, please do research and be smart when buying the games
I’m pretty sure you don’t even have to fully download anything in order to still have access to it after the shutdown. As long as you initiated the download, it’ll be in your download history allowing you to then redownload it in the future

I wish my 360 would let me sign in. It would keep giving me an error for some reason. I don’t have Xbox live so maybe that’s why? But I have no clue since the account I’m trying to use works just fine on everything new
I got that problem too! Try researching the error code it gives you, I was able to find a whole list of error codes and their meanings and I was able to fix the issue and log in!
I had the same issue. Now what helped me was removing the harddisk from the console, and start without it. Then, after booting up, shut it down again and attach the harddisk again. Start again, and eventually you are able to login to your account again. At least this worked for my login problem, after I had not turned on the console for over two years. Good luck!
@@djdano2k Ty! Yesterday I figured out that I could just make a new account since I was trying to use the same email as a new account & got Xbox game pass which does work apparently. I was also able to add funds through Xbox gift cards which was rad & got some free demos. There’s going to be stuff I miss out though because I can only spend so much lol

Why bother, just get even download on Xenia emulator for pc, and xbox360 Roms. then you can preserve all the games for free, I think Microsoft owe us that, they can't complain now that they shutting down the dlc and game store, this is fair game now Am I right guys?
As an xbox360 user and one who spent more than £2900 on Xbox stuff since the 360 I think i can safely say Microsoft owe me, especially now they cut us all out of the shop on 29th July. Microsoft are only instigating more piracy, call me Jack the fucking Sparrow then. They didn't even put all the 360 games on 2 dollar offer shame on them, also all DLC should be free to download after buying the game after this shutdown, that's the least Microsoft can do for us, otherwise pirate time.

You don't need to download them. You will find them on your Download List and download them from there. It is the same thing as with PS Vita.

there's several old Capcom games that never got ported forward to xbone and series x/s that are really frustrating to me, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix was a really sick alternate version of street fighter 2 made for the 20th anniversary of street fighter with art by the street fighter comic book artists and a bunch of new remixed music by the OC remix community and it never got ported forward. Street Fighter 3rd strike Online Edition is the best version of that game imo because it has new removed music and a bunch of different alternate colors for the characters that weren't there and training mode and trials that helped you get better at the game if you never played it before and it's so much better than the street fighter anniversary collection version. Darkstalkers Resurrection is similar to this having 2 of the darkstalkers games with a lot of those training mode and trials and a 3d modeled arcade with different arcade machines you could look at but it also never got ported forward

Eh I don't think so. The 360 is a gaming console, the one way to buy games for the console is being taken down. Over 1500 games are going to be gone along with avatar creation stuff, gamer pics, themes, add ons for games. A big chunk of what makes the 360 what it is will be gone forever

I always downloaded "demo's" when the 360 was new. Those games will be stored somewhere. There has to be an employee that feels the same.way. I played the 360 early on before the One came out, and started back playing games mid to half past Xbox1. Did the 360 Dashboard sell XBOX 1 stuff towards the end? I now play everyday.
99.9 % of all the demos and free arcade games are no longer working because the lic trigger from no server connection is now dead. also i cant seem to play any game because it wants to update or be connected online.

Talking about free games not really if there is a game that has a season pass it will cost you to buy the season pass to unlock all chapters like life is strange how are you going to unlock all 1000 gamer score without the season pass and why isn’t Microsoft putting the season pass on sale or dlc like Steam does you go to street fighter x tekken it’s $1.99 great price but unlocking all characters is going to cost you $19.99 so paying $19.99 plus $1.99 will cost you over $20 to buy that game watch dogs within costing $$3.99 but the season pass is also $19.99 can’t unlock all achievements without buying the season pass again tricky price the DLC for the evil within is $19.99 instead of $1.99 it’s still like paying full price the difference from digital Vs physical is you get the DLC physical comes with no DLC I get it people think their getting things free but watch out if there is a season pass that’s where you find out you didn’t unlock the entire game resident evil revelations 2 season pass still full price but season 1 is free not great deal

Games like Too Human, Crackdown 1 and 2 don't have any hidden dlc's to negate it's free status. They were full priced triple A games on release.
You can still download them after the store closes, you just won't be able to buy them. Unfortunately for me, Tornado Outbreak is not on the UK store. But Legend of Spyro and Dark have been added to my considerable collection. So no ridiculous ebay prices for me. (Honestly thought I had Dark on disc, so i looked through my 300 plus xbox 360 disc collection and found I didn't.
Also the backwards compatible games are not gonna disappear.
PS: I love Asura's Wrath, it's backwards compatible, it shouldn't be one of the games that disappear.
XM360 on a rgh can unlock any dlc including marketplace games, but that doesnt really matter since on a RGH you can download and play any game anyway

We aren't losing these games forever technically. If you hack your Xbox 360 you can get access to all of the games that you won't be able to officially buy after the marketplace is gone. It's not too hard to do it, you could do it in less than an hour and a half. There's also emulation which is extremely easy if you have a decent pc with a dedicated graphics card. It's really sad that the Xbox 360 store is being shut down, because Microsoft is the second biggest tech company in the entire world behind Apple, but they can't afford to keep the marketplace up? No, they could keep it up but they're losing a small amount of money by doing that so that's why they're shutting it down. 17:15 It didn't have to come to an end yet, which is the worst part. It's as simple and sad as that.

You should make a video where you learn about supply and demand. Just to help you out a little bit, the supply of physical 360 games is much lower than the demand currently. When this happens prices go up. If there were copies of NFSMW laying around in the woods and on every street corner it'd be practically free.

Honestly I'm not completely sure but I have noticed that too, loading a game on the marketplace takes like 10-15 seconds for me. It could've always been like that and I just haven't noticed till after looking back all these years later, Idk but I have noticed it is a bit slow at times
