2012 joji = wants to make people smile,
2022 joji = just made people cry with gorgeous melodies
he made people smile tho, he had you tube channel with fun videos, dont forget those lol
2018 joji = wants to make people sad and horny
Its sad hearing that such a talented man hardly believed he was good at anything
Sorry that got through youtube moderation, I deleted one that showed up about 10 mins ago, just a stupid bot from an idiot who wants attention.

So fucking real
@@hathaway.1166 yup 👍
the feelsss
Now he's making us sad with his relatable music
"What I really like seeing though is seeing the smiles on people's faces."

and that put a smile on my face
problem?
look up irony and realise it can be used intentionally
his FF channel is a NOT TO DO, in reverse
I'm really glad this exists, there's very little footage of just Joji talking earnestly before the post FF era, it's interesting how secretive and avoidant he seems to the topic of filthy Frank, he almost never mentions it by name in any video... He's right about making people smile though, the FF show used to be my favourite little corner of RUclips back when my life really sucked, I would come home everyday and watch those videos and they would really get me through it and make me feel less weird and more understood. Thanks George, your performances, comedy and music really inspired me growing up and I hope I can somewhat follow in those footsteps someday.
same bro they are special
there was jojivlogs before
But it's almost a slap to the face of his fans. I get he wants to move on but it's so gross seeing him avoid the topic so much. Like it's what made you and I get you want to move on but that was a great time in his career and got him where he is now. And to just avoid talking about? Seems meh.
@@Soggysenpai just let him be, he once tried to have another channel, jojivlogs, just being himself, but the fans hated it, they want the character, they dont want him to ruin their image of frank, of course he'll gonna be sick of it
@@vanne-necashionofbread9095 I don't even know if that's true though. The Jojivlogs channel was doing great. Its not like it was massively down voted. Not to mention the vlogs weren't the highest quality content. But him acting like his FF saga is a shame is a slap to his fans who made it possible for him to become a musician.
Today we see him perform at one of the biggest Asian festival in America .

@JACKSEPTICEYE'S DAD DESERVED IT LMFAO your late on it bozo
what's there to be ashamed about being honest?
@@tanishasakthivel7974 In the context of Joji he is showing us a different side to his personality which was hidden from the internet in the times of filthyfrank. So I guess it's not shameless, just unfiltired.
This is like discovering an ancient artifact

The saddest thing about this video is that he did make us smile. But as soon as he became Joji, people kept smiling, but with tears.
Nah. He makes me smile. Ain't all just tears here.
he can be however he want. but I'm not OK with passive joji, JUST DROP A ALBUM YOU DIcKHEAD

This is the cringiest comment on RUclips lmao
Not sad
Joji still looks the same he didn't aged at all
He sure had a clear vision at such a young age, so happy he found a way to be himself and be free.
he looks like he still has his braces and I can't unsee it, so cutie
I watched this without taking my eyes off for 15 minutes. couldn't be happier.
i remember finding this video somewhere YEARS ago and never knowing where it went. it’s always been my favorite interview of him, kept me genuinely interested the entire duration and nice to see hes now living out the dream he’s always had
"I was good at one thing, making people happy" This so unrealistically true, this man is blessed
he followed his goal
This man accomplished both his dreams
He wanted to make people smile, and he definitely did.
But hes also made grown ass men cry
now he's one of the most popular R&B Artists in the world
I don't know if I would say that, every time I've mentioned him to anyone they have no idea who he is, then I say "Filthy Frank" and they're like "oh yeahhh lol lol k*ll yourself k*ll yourself shut the f*ck up, I know that guy"
I've never heard Joji in the radio, never heard anyone speak of him unless I mention it first.. Not saying he's not popular because he DEFINITELY!! is! Just I would not say he's one of the most popular in the world.
@@cookiesontoast9981 So just bcz YOU haven’t had an experience outside of that it never happened? He’s had multiple platinums and number 1s. He is also the first Asian artist to hit number 1 on billboard RNB charts. He definitely is one of the most popular. He has more songs that are over 50mil streams than not.
@@wantedu2812 He is popular, sure. But yeah I've never heard anyone talk about him other than people who already knew he was Filthy Frank.
Maybe just because I'm looking at people in real life, people I know, people that the people I know know. While you're looking at the online, streaming, billboard side of it.
@@cookiesontoast9981 the people around you isnt a reliable source. Heck the people around me don’t know FF nor Joji himself. Its not about who you know, numbers don’t lie 💀 you do realize that REAL people have to be streaming his shit right? Like it’s not an “online offline” thing
@@wantedu2812 Yeah I know, I'm not saying you're wrong at all. But regardless I hear nothing about him outside of RUclips.
I have a feeling most of the people that do know him are likely teenage girls and FF fans that are still following him, aka both types of people I don't see or talk to often.
Plus I am in the UK, so idk if he's lesser known over here? or what.
Alex Hirota is goated for this one

Man, Joji has really come a long way since then. Went from having a small fan base to being a worldwide sensation. He kept at it and worked to get to where he is now. He's definitely an inspiration to me. Thank you Joji, you have given me lots of smiles over the years, keep doing what you love man.
If we are talking about Joji as the artist then yes but if we actually look at where he was then in 2012 he was quite popular and well known but just not as joji. As Filthy Frank he was popular in 2012.
@@nipeliite Filthy Frank was even a peak of RUclips at one time..
It's wholesome that he likes making ppl happy...BUT IS HE HAPPY?????

And now i listen to your songs on repeat, every single day
Joji had more influence on me than my parents or friends or school or any fukin thing in the world
There were so many times i wished i could have friends like idubz and max and joji and anything for views and...
i hope and i wish the best for you joji. If i were in Europe or America i would've bought every single merch of you... but sadly im trapped in a 3rd world country with a fuked up society that doesnt want to evolve and move forward... i hope wherever you are you do great in anything that youre doing... love ya man

Same situation i found him when i was depressed and majority if my friends left me so i was at an all time low so i found him and it made me feel alot better. I started doing the shit he did with a friend and i had the best time of my life with him. Yesterday was my birthday and was also the day i found him so i sat and listened to every song he made as pink guy and i loved it. Best thing i ever did.
From your name, I'll guess you are made in raviolli.
Me too, I guess he thinks those are just funny videos, but seriously, I'd have killed myself if it wasn't for him.
I don't know why it is, but it just feels less lonely to watch his videos
Cheer up, there will be a better future *hugs*
Yess Joji is a genius
"The smiles on peoples faces"
Thanks Joji for the laughs and the music.
I like the fact he is not saying "like" too much... which he has done in his other videos......
Yeah I noticed that too
He probably wasn't as stressed, he didn't really expect this to blow up the way it has today it was meant to be a friend's senior project.
2:40 “I know I’m setting a very peaceful environment”
Mhm yup totally peaceful mhm yes yup
*Human Cake* He probably didn’t think he’d eventually be that extreme, just wanted to make people laugh.
@@NotGoodAtRUclips hed still scream and shit, I think it was satire
He is, as a person, incredibly peaceful, as a RUclipsr, of course not, but that was the entire point. Through his music he has absolutely set a peaceful trend and through both his humour with FF and his music creation with Joji, he has inspired a lot of young people to be realistic and more moderate (Satire showing the extremities of the modern world with FF and talking about certain ills of society and human experience with Joji). He has an extremely positive influence and has definitely had a peaceful influence.
@@stun2235 lmao it’s a joke, relax

Amazing!
i like how jumpy and excited joji looks in this interview here like he's playing a character, unlike now when you see him talk he seems pretty chill

man he is such an angel, to be selfless enough to make others happy. but definitely he is not too happy himself. which is so sad. I hope he is doing better mentally now.
He's 29 today... so he was probably 19 during this interview, almost the same age as me... I hope I'll get to achieve the same(or greater) level of greatness he's achieved when I'm of his current age.

Such a precious time capsule this is, and almost over a decade in the making.
It’s the fact that this was recommended to me the night before I had to go to Joji’s concert is just amazing
He looks oddly familiar. I hope he started his own RUclips channel and become a famous singer.
Wow, no retards here! I mean people who cant take a joke.
Salute to Joji. Defying others’ expectations to do what you love isn’t easy, especially at a young age. I’ve been there. The only thing he got wrong was thinking he wasn’t good at anything. It takes an insane amount of creativity and courage to make the content he made. If that isn’t talent I don’t know what is. But perhaps it took that humility to make him become who he is today
Look at Joji man, so inspirational
am i the only one who cried after seeing his face? This man got rid of my depression big time. Absolute fucking legend in my book.
This is genuinely pretty surreal to see
Imagine if he goes on Cold Ones
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think they said he’d be on when covid gets better but I don’t know how public joji wants to be since he hasn’t posted anything that’s not advertising for a year+
@@NotGoodAtRUclips no, they said Idubbbz will be there... Only Ian
@@PandamoniumBruu no they didn’t, if you actually watched their videos you would know they said he was supposed to visit but Australia went on lock down so Joji nor Ian could go. And cold ones also said they would have to schedule with 88.
I’ve been watching and listening to Filthy Frank and Joji for the past 6 years. To me, his content never gets old. I’m happy to know he’s still with us making us smile. All of his content definitely helped me through some rough times in my life, and still does to this day. I literally just came back from his Nectar Finale concert in San Francisco and watching him in person was jaw dropping. I almost started crying when I first saw him come on stage. The whole time I was hoping I would somehow have the chance to personally thank him for everything he’s done for me and all of us. I really enjoyed the show, and I’ll never forget seeing him in person. He’s a great man, and I look forward to everything else he has in store for the future.
He said its been 3 months since he started making videos(Filthy Frank), so this took place in November 2011.
He started making videos in 2008, on DizastaMusic, so this is actually more likely to be September 2008 - right around the time he turned 16.
