You arent weird. You respecting all the games that came before. And that will give you all the knowledge for the future for cvsnk 3 and garou 2. It gives us old heads hope because your playing games that had to be played in arcade or console tournaments and introducing them to all the new young bloods.
The whole genre was that way, and that's why it grew so much over a short time... big innovations coming literally every year. Capcom, SNK, Midway (MK), the 3d fgs, etc. And the whole fg ecosystem was much richer and diverse, with some smaller fgs that still could provide solid original ideas. Like Red Earth in 2d and Bloody Roar in 3d. The 90s scene was and still is unbeatable.
Use to see those combos back when w didn´t have internet in our computer,it was called Akuma combos,it wasn´t only Akuma but also fighting games in general,i don´t remember if that website was from USA or other country but they did crazy combos mixed with awesome music, yeah, also with Linkin Park music haha.
The virtual comsole version of CVS 2 has the secret characters as unlockables. I have them on my ps3 if you find a rom for that version, then you can olay them
Nah it's not weird I own sf6 aswell and I been playing a lot of the old school street fighters lately, and yeah I agree Dan's not even that bad as a character
C-Groove Chun-Li is really good. She needs meter to be truly effective, but she has some of the best meter dump combos in the game. Her neutral is also really good and building meter is easy for her. Chun-Li is also awesome in N-Groove. She doesn’t do as much damage but her mobility is crazy because her run speed is so good. Also lightning legs is a legitimately practical combo starter due to roll canceling being a thing. It’s plus 6 on hit so you can link normals from it. A lot of her normals start up in 4 frames or less. CVS2 is also home of the 2 frame jab. Cammy’s close fierce is 3 frames like usf4 Sakura but it’s +10 on HIT AND BLOCK! She has 4-5 business days to link whatever she wants! Which makes this normal extremely oppressive and the run stop pressure possible with it is insane. Geese has hella good normals too. Close LK is 2 frames and +7 which is a generous link into close HP because that normal is 4 frames. You can link into close LK and then close HP canceled into MK Jaeiken after the roundhouse in deadly rave. Geese’s crouching LP and Crouching LK are also both 3 frames. 2LP is +8 and 2LK is +6. This is hit and block btw. Which means easy, easy links all around that lead to high damage. I play N Groove Iori/Chun/Hibiki. Sometimes Hibiki be lacking meter cause Chun eats it all. And my team kinda lacks synergy. I like these characters tho. In C-Groove I use Kyo/Cammy/Chun-Li. Kyo has great meterless damage and great level 2 cancel Combos. Cammy is just a beast. In K I use Kyo/Cammy/Geese Just defend is awesome. The damage boost from rage is off the chain. The 30 percent boost to normals and 10 percent boost to level 3 supers makes combos hurt like a motherfucker! Kyo and Geese have very damaging combos in rage. Long live CVS2! I love that broken imbalanced mess of a game!
Amazing combos and now you see why shin akuma and rugal are banned those two can do so much damage it’s ridiculous thanks for sharing this with me and everyone else smug keep up the good work

reminds me of my days playing xmen vs street fighters akuma where i would spam buttons so much my fingers would bleed
cvs2 is super tight, sometimes it doesn't feel as smooth as third strike with the links and chains but either way you slice it, CVS and 3S is #1 and #2 fightcade games
No joke, that background has a feeling of; "at grandmas house" very cool.
It's not its grandma house?

This video makes me appreciate the older games. I miss the older stuff. Man game developers weren't afraid to take chances back in the 80-90's.

I'm quite sure this game is from the 2000's which is indeed old, What a different time...

TAS
Why certain characters just can’t be used in comps wonder if it could be done by human
SMUG you should reach out to some of these PC makers or AMD/Intel for a new PC or partnership. AMD is usually easier to work with.
