Belle and Sebastian's 'Protecting The Hive'

'Protecting The Hive' is a two-part collaboration by Belle and Sebastian that collates lyrics contributed by fans at the band's invitation, about their thoughts and feelings while in self-isolation, and funnels them to collaborative music works.

At home alone the whole lock down, but then again I've been in a lock down since my dad died when I was 7 months old, Heart attack at 31, best age for one, then got taken from my mom at almost 3, she drank herself to death at 47, i was 12 but was made to go visit her, nice, i had to clean up her drunken messes, so many Foster Homes with Daddies and Mommies thinking they could do whatever they wanted, then of course they had to make me live with Nuns, yep and Group Homes, and after all they did to me, my Mentle State is my fault, so here we are just turned 59, still in my own lock down, but I made that lock many many years ago, still no reason to come out, but ya know, I saw a vid interview of these chaps, what came to mind,,,,,The Crying Game, no not the characters in it, but the meaning of the thoughts the main character had, nobody ever asks why or if your own thoughts have meaning, I study Astrophysicist so I can have something that will never end as a study, so here's to locked rooms and barred up windows because if you come out, you'll be made fun of all over again, so here's to shadows as well
