We know jimin is the smallest member in bts but there why is suga the smallest?
They learned Fire in 2 weeks . Plus they only had a video to go off of. Jhope and Jimin worked really hard to help the members
Manager Sejin Stan: To be fair, the others might have taken 2 weeks to learn it. JHope more than likely took less. I remember for DNA, they talked about how hard the choreography was but Jimin said JHope learned it in about 4 minutes. But of course, Hoseok is pretty modest-so he was like “no, no. It was at least 20 minutes.”
Bangtan Jdope Oh yeah definitely. The video was filmed at the two week mark, so they probably had it practiced a bit. Hoseokie, Jimin and Jungkook probably had it down pat, but the rest might have been still a little unsure
Manager Sejin Stan: From my understanding, JHope would be the one that learned fast. Probably in 20 minutes or less like he did for DNA & Jimin in probably a couple hours (estimating based on what they said about DNA bc after talking about Hoseok’s time, the interview asked Jimin about his own and he said an hour.) I think he might have taken a little longer than Jimin. Like 1.5 - 2 hours.
Bangtan Jdope
JHope himself confirmed that the choreo he learnt fast (20mins) was only a part of the whole choreo. He is undoubtably an amazing dancer and he learns fast, but people keep on spreading wrong info. Jimin said others took 40min+ for the same part.
Jimin brags that J Hope learned a small portion/the most difficult part of DNA choreography in 10 minutes while it took 4 hours to the rest to learn the same part, J Hope says that's an exaggeration and that it took him 30 min. In any case, that is not how long it takes them to learn the entire choreography. Also, memorizing the dance doesn't equal to "mastering" it... They have to practice a lot to engrave the dance into their bodies so that they can sing/rap while dancing at the same time without making mistakes; they have to practice how to perform and bring each one their own charisma in the non identical sections; they rehearse facial expressions depending on the mood/theme of the song; they do change/update small things or improve their choreographies during practice and also after watching the audience reactions; I imagine they have to rehearse with their respective outfits too; etc.
For years, when they were prepare for their comeback, they used to have to train between 12 and 8 hours daily in order to perfect the choreographies... Now they train between 4-8 hours daily before big performances/concerts. They are quicker to learn now because their individual dancing and performing skills have improved and they're fit, that's why they know how to train more effectively and in which aspects each one of them has to focus... So yeah, they're talented and amazing, but they aren't Gods nor robots, they're humans, of course it will always take a lot of time and effort to learn so many complex choreographies while making them look as easy/perfect as they do.

Seems like you guys have fallen deep into the rabbit hole; watching choreo vids, singing along, knowing (about) some of the dance moves.. But srsly, hearing your open-minded opinions and appreciation of how good BTS as a group and solo artists is so rewarding

You gotta realize that they practice A LOT. In the early days their practices ran up to 13 hours. JHope says that nowadays they run between 4 and 6 hours. How many groups do that? They are perfectionists. You should check out their other dance practices. One of their most difficult ones (according to them) is Danger. Super high energy.

You guys should check out Boy Meets Evil 😂 I feel like you guys will love it since you are getting into the dancing aspect of BTS. Boy Meets Evil is J hope’s solo song. He’s the best dancer from BTS so this song shows his rap plus his dancing at the same time. It’s pretty lit 🔥 love your video guys! I’m always waiting for them.
Lee Day: Yeah!!!! I feel like bc HIXTAPE came out & He didn’t do any intense dancing in his music videos, new army’s will come in & they don’t know about that side of him. Like yeah. He’s a good rapper but don’t forget that he’s the best dancer & the guys call him “dance director” for a reason
Bangtan Jdope yea he’s the choreography captain. He usually helps Jin or RM or Suga (mostly Jin) learn his parts. On some of BTS songs there are parts where it’s freestyle dance, J hope sometimes comes up with those parts for other members. Not to mention, he makes sure their dance is on point since he’s always asking for a practice run. I respect him a lot 😂 I’m not a dancer, I’m a musician so I’m impressed to how well his hixtape came out to be and how much he improved musically since he literally had zero experience in the start. So my respects to him 😂
Lee Day: Yeah, I know. He takes dancing very seriously. Which isn’t a surprise, considering he started with underground dancing. & I believe the phrase you’re looking for isn’t dance captain, but main dancer 😂
Lee Day : & yeah. Part of the reason, in my opinion, is because HIXTAPE is actually really personal. The whole thing is about how he basically made it. He’s successful now and that’s bc BTS was by his side. The other boys were very supportive and helpful. He consistently asked the other members for their opinions & even asked RM to do the hook for Airplane, but it got cut out during the editing process just bc RM felt it would be more personal if it was just Hoseok. But BTS still participated in Airplane, vocalizing. Or in the process like seen in the Bangtan Bomb where the members visited JHope during Daydream filming.
Bangtan Jdope and no 😂 I did mean Choreography captain. If you watch videos they sometimes refer to J hope as the main dancer AND choreography captain (or dance director). Cause Jimin is also Main Dancer but his role and participation with the choreography isn’t as much as J hope. (I’m not saying he choreographed BTS dances 😂 That’s Mr. Son’s job. he just helps out a little) And yea Hope World was amazing. As a Music writer I’m so impressed to how J Hope writes music and I’m glad these V Kings have noticed that J Hope has a particular way of rapping, he changes his flow a lot and he controls his voice (dropping to bass or switching to singing melody). I love it lol.
