Purdue University Global’s Winter 2021 Commencement Highlights

On December 4, 2021, Purdue University Global graduates from around the world participated in commencement. Over 1,600 graduates were recognized at the ceremony, with approximately half of them attending in person at the Elliott Hall of Music on Purdue University’s campus in West Lafayette, IN.
Throughout commencement, Chancellor Frank Dooley highlighted graduates, including those with high honors, graduate-level degrees, and military service. Participating graduates had their name and degree announced while their graduate slide and photo were shown on the screen. Graduates also submitted photos and videos that were included in multiple montages during the ceremony.

Before the ceremony, graduates enjoyed a week of interactive virtual activities, including a photo booth, shout out board, and the Last Lecture presented by professor Todd Kane, who was nominated by the graduating class. Additionally, the Black and Gold Celebration took place on Purdue University’s campus on Friday, December 3, 2021, where graduates, faculty, and alumni were invited to enjoy an evening of live entertainment, photos, and opportunities to support the student scholarship fund.
