CIPG Fall Information Session 2024

The Carolina Graduate Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good (CIPG) gives masters and doctoral students an educational pathway to explore modern changemaking and practice the skills they need to help create meaningful change in the world. The certificate is sponsored by three academic units: the College of Arts and Sciences, Gillings School of Global Public Health, and the School of Education.
CIPG provides students from any department with the mindset, tools and methods they need to work effectively across disciplines to solve complex problems. By earning the certificate, students become skilled in methods that they can apply to their doctoral or thesis research. CIPG also equips them with career-ready skills that they can use when working on multi-disciplinary teams in businesses, non-profits and government agencies that increasingly demand the ability to apply cross-sector, community-engaged practices. innovate.unc.e...

Innovate Carolina is the University-wide initiative for innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) at UNC-Chapel Hill. It is lead by the Vice Chancellor’s Office for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development.
Innovate Carolina and its partners in the I&E campus network provide faculty, students and alumni with the tools and resources they need to turn their ideas into practical benefit. Many at the University are tackling some of the most serious issues facing society today. It is vital that - with a sense of urgency - Carolina support them, teach them the entrepreneurial mindset and skill set, and help them move toward breakthrough solutions.
By integrating creativity, art, design and entrepreneurial thinking, Innovate Carolina creates an environment where people can put important ideas to use for the public good.
