Kato Aholelei G’day Firstly thanks so much for commenting and listening! Since this one audition video my life has changed significantly. Much owed to supporters of my music such as yourself. I received such a warm reception and i am purely overwhelmed at the thought people go out of their way to encourage and inspire me to do what i love with now what feels like an eternal passion for music. Never once did i think Gloria Gaynors ‘I Will Survive’ would take me through a few leaps and bounds, in fact all the way to releasing my Debut EP ‘RISING’ which has a studio version of the song. We had a spare couple of hours to squeeze in the studio and we thought “why not?.” The rest of the tracks on the EP are some songs i have written over the last couple and so i am pretty stoked to share them with you. Who would have ever thought anyone could take a 1970s disco song and Rock it out. I grew up in the discos and have always loved Gloria Gayor and danced the night away to I Will Survive. What this young man did was brilliant. I fricken loved it. I wish I was in Australia. I would love to see him perform. I love watching the talent shows from Australia. So many talented singers.
It always cracks me up.. They say 'wow! what an amazing voice! You have such a unique talent, loved every minute of it, etc...' Then the judges say hmm, now we have to vote, and the crowd goes silent to build the suspense. Like hmm, you just said you loved every minute of the audition, I wonder what they're gonna say
American here, Loved the young mans performance. Stage presence, persona, voice all great, I would have liked the beginning to be a little stronger. Loud voice needed to set the mood , save the yelling for someone who is angry and smashed. Beautiful presentation.
