DevilDriver, Chimaira and Lamb Of God were on the forefront of new American Metal in the 2000s. Perfect for those who were missing the old Thrash Metal sound and couldn't get into the Nu Metal and Metalcore stuff.
YES!!!!! This is my go to music when I'm on a roll banging out tons of work. Daybreak is one of my favorites lately though. That guitar solo will stick into your head after the first listen. Coal chamber did get back together but Dez made it clear to the members to stay of the drugs. That's what killed coal chamber. He's very anti drug. Not even halfway through the tour Dez caught them red handed and canceled the ENTIRE tour. He refuses to even speak to them. This is from what I remember on a liquid metal interview right after the tour cancelation.
Coal Chamber broke up in 2002 or 03 got back together and put out a new album Rivals in 2015 toured for a few years, dez did another devildriver album a few years ago and this year Coal Chamber is playing some shows like Sick new world festival,. Dez and his wife started a management company called the Oracle entertainment. He's a busy guy, check out one of his bands he manages called Frayle they amazing Witchy Doom metal

Yes, it's super groovy! "I Could Care Less" was my introduction to Devildriver back in 2006 for me, been hooked ever since and I own the first 4 albums. Freaking love Devildriver, wish they got more love from reaction channels.
Seen Devildriver in 07 with Static-X, Lacuna Coil and Megadeth for Gigantour 07. Static-X was the best band on the night with the energy Wayne Static (RIP) brought to the stage but the circlepit to Devildriver was insane!

Been requesting for a year at least. Thought they weren't getting played because the word Devil was in their name. Now that you see all the support maybe you'll do more more from them. "Clouds Over California" and "End of the Line" are automatic views. Covers of "Sail" and "Country Heroes" are amazing. Also every single one of their songs on the first three albums are automatic play list. The up tempo style just keeps you pumped. They're considered Groove Metal/Melodic Death Metal and they've been signed to Napalm Records for awhile. My favorites are "Pure Sincerity", "Pray For Villains" and "End of the Line".
Other great songs by them Swinging the Dead Cry For Me Sky Another Night in London Sin and Sacrifice The Fury of Our Maker's Hand Clouds Over California and strangely enough it works, but they also did a heavy metal cover of AWOLNATION's Sail

Great song and band these guys are legendary. Clouds over California, bury your dead, and pray for villains are some good suggestions. Also, a devil driver comes from the Wicken religion. It's a bell that when rang would drive devils (evil spirits) from the town.
Devildriver is what I wished Coal Chamber was when they came out. 80's thrash/speed metal to.....nu metal. What disappointing teen years I had. Musicians finally got their shit together later on.
