@AjarFountain619 Alternatively, 4 valkyrie and 8 devourer cost way less minerals and supply than 10 BC's. Yet, it won still with 4 valkyrie's and 3 devourers remaining. The fact that you'd need to quickly clone 4-5 yamatos in a moments notice is not optimal at all (and that's if you're lucky enough to have the energy to begin with!)
I heard it's hard coded into the game that corsairs and valks can't do area damage to interceptors. Judging from how futile it seems, I guess that may be the case.
@@phaenon4217 This seems not true video. I still recall a BGH game where I got pressured by protoss and a zerg. I had 24 valkyres and they killed Carrier interceptors over and over and over. They needed to bring storm, plague queens and ultralisks with reavers to finally break the valkyre tank combo.
@@mgtowstanleyzoltanov9808 Carriers own Hold Position Valkyries all day on even supply and upgrades. The footage doesn't lie. To beat carriers you need Golaith. When Valkyries shoot interceptors it should be in the hope that the rockets follow back to the actual carriers to wipe their shields.
@@phaenon4217 I want to bet you money valkyres if microed correctly will not allow carriers to win. Why you think valkyres have to hold position and carriers to run away?
I don't have it anymore unfortunately, but you could easily recreate your own in any SC map editor. Making a blank map and throwing down some units is really easy (and fun).
Valkyries are actually good vs carriers but not as 1 type unit. You should also make goliaths, marines with stim, turrets, and ghosts and choose right momentum to battle. Its not the same as you upload in video. Valkyries are most the time away from carriers attack range but close enough to target interceptors. Enemy killing only turrets rines goliaths but very slow because interceptors must constantly escape to repair then brings HALO rockets to carrier ships. In your video carriers are not stacked, so they receive less area damage but if enemy attack your base in that way, interceptors would be more spread to and receive more damage from air shooting things especially turrets. Spread carrier ships are harder to maneuver could easily fall in direct anti air fire, ghost lock down. Protoss also could do some additional things. Arbiter - stasis. Corsair - web. Shield batteries. He also must always have observers otherwise few wrights eliminates em one by one. And observers are often killed.
I and many people who have played understand fully well that a simplistic side-vs-side set-up battles are not fully comparable to real game dynamics. Obviously, a Terran will have other units to use for AA. The main subject was if Valkyries themselves can wipe interceptors as many people assumed this was the case in my first video, to which I made a pretty straightforward test as a response. That's it.
Ah yes, the devour valkyrie combo from the "to slay the beast" mission. Brutal.

That's just nuts... The interceptors are in a sea of blue but they just don't die.

Can you put a link for the map if its possible ?
