GB got no pass rush heat when it mattered in the 4th quarter. They never blitzed on those final drives either. That gave Purdy the fraction of time he needed. Why draft Van Ness if they aren't gonna unleash him? Rashon Gary, Preston Smith & Kingsley Enagbare were stoned down the stretch as well. Joe Barry just doesn't dial up enough pressure to help out their secondary who played pretty well I thought...
It’s crazy how many great quarterbacks owe a large part of their greatness to a kicker. Where would Tom Brady be with Scott Norwood kicking for him? How would we remember the Buffalo Bills if Adam Vinatieri was their kicker? If Carlson makes that kick, it might have been a very different outcome and I know they would’ve still been able to tie, but the momentum is very different if you’re up by 7. I really believe that having a money kicker is essential in how a quarterbacks career plays out.
Is anyone actually blaming Jordan? I know he threw that last pick but it was under a minute after his kicker missed a kick and his defense folded and give up a go ahead score. He’s gonna get better, all learning experiences. First time in Levi’s field and it’s a divisional round game against the 1 seed on prime time and it’s raining… if somebody is actually blaming him they’re wrong
Nobody with a brain is blaming him. He could have sealed it but so could the defense (about 3 times) or Carlson. First time being in anything like that, will only get more and more calm with time as we have already seen in big moments this season.
The only thing i didn't like about my QB was he started speeding up his clock and missed easy throws because of pressure that was close enough to make him miss. He started throwing behind when we need 1st downs. The pick was super behind and the 3rd and 2 to AJ was so easy but he threw another bad pass for NO REASON! we needed those BAD. I was saying while watching just calm down and stop rushing. Take the hit if need be but make the throw.
Of course Love’s extremely poor decision on that last pass was part of the problem. That was pure panic like a college player. Love doesn’t deny this. He’s currently making $10 million. Being a first year QB he gets a pass in this playoff game. Next year there will be no excuse in a playoff game.
Oh b.s. Chase. You are a blatant liar. How about you break down the last play of the last game for them. He is not pressured, all he has to do to maintain pocket discipline is step to his side, he has a wide open te to his left. He chose to break the play and roll out to his right, straight into actual pressure, then he also could have thrown it out, or try to throw it up the sideline to the side he is rolling. He chooses to go back againts his body, in the rain, without an elite arm, and through 3 dudes sitting in a zone, any of the 3 could have easily caught that, his wr could not have a slight chance to catch it. That is all HIM. You just all credibility with me, you show highlights and make excuses, you are not showing his actual terrible mistakes. You did this in your other video analysis, you ignored his late throws, almost all of them, that he can't throw the 9, that he can't throw a 20 yard seam. yet you broke down that film and surely saw those plays. WTF are you doing then? Why should anyone take you seriously at all??? He was their worst offensive player v 49ers. He threw a pick behind his te that led to a score. When Jones busted out a 50 yard run, they settled for a FG because Love could not make a play. Look at those plays. That's not him? STFU. They had 3 possessions in the 4th, look at every 4th quarter throw, or refusal to throw, then actually talk to me about who played well and who did not. What an absolute f'ing joke. Ya know, some of us are watching game film too. Just because you were a qb, does not mean you ignore his bad plays to make him look better. What a jacka$$
Yes dude, watch the first 9 games to see why, then watch the next games to see what Lafleur had to do for success. Then watch what happened when he couldn't just scheme dudes wide open v. his former master. It leaves them needing 150 rushing yards v the best rush defense, a kick return of 73 yards, and everyone playing great, but Love still throws them into a score once, refuses to throw passes that are there because he can't throw a 9 or a seam route, then he can't make a play after Jones breaks off a 50 yard run, then he breaks the play himself, misses a wide open te, rolls right for no reason, throws back against his body and loses their last opportunity. Absolutely I blame him for being lousy the entire season. Dude had to have the offense stripped down to the simplest form for this jacka$$ to play well. All he had to do was take what the defense gave, but you'd have to read the defense first, presnap, then hit that wide open TE instead of shatting the bed and breaking the play and then throwing something awful, akin to a H.S. player.
Yes - I was really surprised to see Jordan missing his receivers so badly beginning toward the end of the 3rd Quarter - i believe it was the series that would have been 3 and out except the Int ended it; then another 3 and out; then just not in synch w/ his receivers; I need to look at the game again; yet I believe it coincided with #50 Right Tack Zach Tom, went he left the game to a head injury. After that Jordan's confidence in his protection wasn't there; Tom going out was the inflection point of the game.
This. I believe with absolute certainty that they win that game if Savage catches that first INT. And they still had to fumble several other situations/plays to end up depending on Carlson and Barry to hold the lead.
Love will be a crossbreed of Rodgers and Favre. QB genetics. Throwing darts mostly then here and there taking a gamble trying to squeeze it in. Should be fun. GPG!

If they want to do tush-push, why they don't put a eligible OL in to push. Aaron Jone and Watson aren't big and strong to push. Besides, Kraft should be in back field, behind Love, instead of Watson.
Green Bay was fortunate to have two short offensive drives which led to their touchdowns. There was the long kickoff return and the 40 yard PI on 3rd down. Packers defense did just enough keeping us to 24 points which is a bad day for this offense. This loss was on GB's offense not able to capitalize in the redzone and Jordan Love's 2 interceptions.
Bc if you watch the game love was clearly the better qb throwing two interceptions and throwing two should have been interceptions is the exact same amount of bad play just bc you get lucky from the defensive side doesn’t mean you were better love didn’t play a great game absolutely but when purdy has 11 all pros and the consensus best roster in the league against a qb with a team who last year missed the playoffs with a first ballot hall of famer at qb meanwhile the 9ers have been to the conference championship four of the last five years with different qbs it’s pretty clear the difference man Ik the box score can be a little confusing but if you actually watch the game and take some context into account it’s very clear that Jordan love had a better game and has such an unbelievably higher ceiling than Brock
They both threw two balls that should have been picked. From a grading perspective what the defense does from there has no bearing on the grade. This is really basic stuff, man.
Because Love was throwing to a bunch of rookies against a way better defense. Yet he still outplayed Purdy who was throwing to a loaded offense against a worse defense. The 49ers better hope they win it this year. Green Bay has 11 picks this year. Including the fact that they're not held down by any expensive player contracts. Purdy is a late draft pick for a reason. Once the talent around him starts to wither away. Y'all are gonna be irrelevant again for another 20 years.

Lafleur built a vertical attack for this qb that can not utilize it. WTF are you talking about??? Listen to Gute when he says, "I'd hope he figures it out before the season ends". He did not, they were 3-6, Lafleur relaized they gotta play call differently to utilize the things Jordan can do well because he was struggling with what they hoped he could do well. These are facts, Chase. It's the same thing that happend to McVay with Goff, and why he eventually traded him and won a SB. He felt limited with what he could do because his qb struggled with stuff he liked to attack with...the seam and the 9 route, haha. They are so similar. The scheming is also very similar between the Lions and GB, the route concepts, etc. Because both offenses have to cater to their qb to have a chance to win. Love is the problem, they are loaded at wr, 1-4, and TE, they designed a vertical attack they can't even utilize. They should trade Watson and get a good draft pick to use on a player they can utilize, because any speedy undrafted wr can run dummy-clearout routes. Your analysis is shat.
