As someone who has studied fashion design, I would recommend investing in a good pair of fabric scissors, pins and chalk to make cutting your clothes easier. It also helps to try on your clothes first, pin them to your desired length, and only then cut them. And as a final tip, keep in mind that our bodies aren't symmetrical. If you want your shirts to be the same length in the front and the back, you need to add about 2 centimeters in the back (maybe more or less depending on the fabric) to make it look the same length all around. That means you don't cut a straight line in the front and back, but a slight curve.
This is great advice. I've seen many people on YT & IG cropping their old shirts without pinning and trying it on first. The results is that the back is always way too short and not very flattering.
loved this vlog, as someone who's also making clothing I would highly recommend taking an intro sewing course. It's a different feeling knowing how a garment is actually constructed, and being able to do things like cropping and hemming! 👌🏼
its 1am here in Melbourne but had to stay up 15 more mins to watch your video. Always a source of inspiration and motivation for me to keep pursuing fashion as a hobby!!!
As someone who has just moved to London to pursue the fashion world, you are a massive inspiration for me and someone who's videos always keep me grounded when I feel a bit stuck. Also the candle on the black table is the superior placement for sure :)
Brooo - you never miss man, these diaries are just too good. They're my "morning pastry" every Sunday hahaha. Also, moving to New York / a new city in the US is quite scary, but the great thing about New York (having grown up in Queens) has been the vibes of the community you form. Building that is always hard at the beginning, but with time you start to appreciate the New York kindness. Would love if the big bro moved here, but no pressure of course. Much love from NYC my man
1. Definitely candle on coffee table 👌 2. Loved that looking down "what I'm wearing/walking" sequence 3. Pumped for new Marcello colours drop 4. DS NYC 2024?!?! 👀 Always one of my favourite moments of my week 🙏
Loewe candle looks great on the coffee table. So happy about your knitwear and London Diaries successes. I know you will love New York and your business will thrive. Keep being you and all will be well.
Some people have this talent man, everything they do is aesthetic. Like this man right here. Everything from his outfits to his vlogs, to his house is aesthetic.
Really enjoy watching your vids.really like seeing how you constantly look for improvement and you know how to take care of yourself in all areas too.Find the vids nice n relaxing to watch, love hearing your latest news, keep up the good work:)
I love the graininess of the captured images, it's simply beautiful, it gives me harmony to see the details you capture. I love these "videos". Greetings from Tijuana
I never really comment on any videos, but I need to tell you that your videos are truly inspiring. I’m watching for a while now and it’s so relaxing to watch your videos. Maybe you can shoot a video where you show what you are eating in a day to stay in shape, if it’s possible.
He did do a video "what i eat in a day" a few months back.. ruclips.net/video/9f0OxR_00UM/видео.html But I'd honestly love for some more videos on diet/exercise as Daniel is very open and honest with us as viewers which is great, I always trust his advice!
I love the style of your videos, the photography matched with the music is always amazing - but the whole Wimbledon section was even beyond that. It was perfect & truly beautiful!
The majority of the fashion/style content creator that I watch and follow have a huge disregard with the bootcut jeans. The only content creators that I see here on youtube whenever I type in the word "bootcut" are the "cowboys" that obviously showcase the style, especially here in the US. I understand what the others are saying about silhouette and body type etc etc. I still rock my bootcut jeans that I have back in the early to late 2000's and I also wear slim fits and straight leg jeans. What is your ultimate take on wearing bootcut jeans? Do you think it's really outdated? Of course I don't let society dictate my style. I just want your honest, true, and ultimate opinion about the particular style of jeans. Best of luck, and yes, I'm that 1% of your silent followers here on youtube. ---Rick San Diego CA
umm... ripped and dirty. Like the shape but truthfully, how often would you wear outfits that are intentionally ripped and dirty looking? Not worth the price.
loved this episode, the background track for most London diaries is more of a calm piano however this was more upbeat and energetic and gives a nice vibe to your videos
It’s so funny to hear in your video that everyone wants to see you succeed. I follow the Heaton brothers and George was saying that the competition for textile factories in Britain is so mad that they have encountered the exact opposite. The drive to make lines a success is so cutthroat, that they hadn’t found people who wanted them to succeed. He said the theft and backstabbing by people they idolized, it was so soul crushing, it made them want to leave and relocate out of the crucible.
i noticed how people in london can be so formal, old money style i'd say. Here in Philippines you'll see some people wearing thick ass jacket while is 40 degrees outside LOL.
Really nice videos. I’m not a fan of his style to be fair. I didn’t like the dirty pants nor the dirtiness and it didn’t look good overall. I liked the shirt he cut up but not the material in itself. It looked like linen, uuugghh! I wonder why there’s no color? :)
The Acme Denim is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 of course u could send them back but image how long it would take to get a pair jeans that distressed not mention they may not smell that great if u did it the natural way😂😂😂
Hey Daniel, could I kindly ask what camera did you use for those shots at the Wimbledon, and also whether you shoot in Slog format. Those shots were so sick thank you so much for such a great piece of art once again🙌🏻
New York is a great place to visit and network, but it may not be great for your brand. You will have to really think about what's best for you. I am sure deep down you know.
So funny you got that model acne jeans! I tried them on in the nyc store and loved the fit and distressing but i was torn on the fading and dirt marks so ended up passing on them haha. Did however pick up the 2021 model in "vintage blue" from tres bien....they also have a few washes on sale on ssense.
Next time you're in San Diego you should definitely check out Little Joy in Del Mar, it's my personal favorite spot. And the owner, Drew, makes some cool hats and tote bags. You should also head over to Rose Hill (previously Zumbar) in Encinitas.
I think round neck for the sweaters is the way to go. The V-neck looks great but I don't think many people gravitate towards V neck. It looks great on you tho for sure but that's also cause you're more fit. Personally I think the round neck will be more wearable for the majority of people. On a side note, I'm excited that it's finally time for some summer outfits from you!
I don't understand the appeal of dirt on your jeans at all, but if you really like them, then keep them. You're justifying this purchase to other people way more than you need to. Just wear them if you like them. Btw, I'm definitely feeling the v-necks on the knitwear.
Let me tell you my LOEWE story. There was this denim jacket that was out of stock, Then when it came back into stock (Womens wear with LOEWE are better look etc) they jacked up the price $250.
I have confident to cut my shirt after watched your video. I mean it’s just a little things. But it’s so satisfied and it’s give me the comfort when I can wear the length of shirt that suit my body proportion because sometime I like the width size of the shirt but it’s too long, and I feel uncomfortable to wear it. ( Sorry for my bad English ). Anyway, always like your video. ❤
bro i love u, going through a tough time rn, but your videos help alot. Fashion interested and got that OCD (like i suspect u do aswell). thank your for bringing some calm into my life
LOL omg I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who loves a pastry everyday. I recently cut back too but maybe this is a sign to just enjoy myself haha

rotary cutters are also a great investment
hey Jasmin by adding +2cm do you mean you should cut lower or leave higher ?
@@ilkemagic7721 the back should be about 2 centimeters longer than the front piece :)
The whole Wimbeldon sequence was just 👌
Thank you 🙏🏼

Alot like how Ben Francis did it in the past with Gym Shark
My coffee just finished brewing, and a new London Diaries pops up! Great start to a slow Sunday
Love it!
its 1am here in Melbourne but had to stay up 15 more mins to watch your video. Always a source of inspiration and motivation for me to keep pursuing fashion as a hobby!!!
Love that! Thanks so much for the support!
C'mon bruh the London Diaries Collection has to be shot in London 😭
Won’t be here to shoot it
@@imdanielsimmonssorry. But it has to be.its called London Diaries for a reason!
I have to agree, just makes sense to be shot in London, but I’m sure it will look great regardless!
The Wimbeldon section was perfect, dunno man just outdo yourself every video. WELL done.
(also that Pain Au looked BUSSIN')
I literally love that 4:3 ratio video format, it gives me the old school vibes 😍🤌🏻
Yeah it’s my favourite

Love the light cream shirt 0:21. Is it from your brand?
any chance of getting any info on where that shirt from the pastry-eating sequence of the video is from? very slick
It’s from my brand - dropping end of the month :)
Wayfarer Bread in Bird Rock has the best pastries in SD, if you haven’t been!
On the gym section
Do you always do 1 exercise for each bodypart as a full body workout?
I'd love to hear about it
1. Definitely candle on coffee table 👌

3. Pumped for new Marcello colours drop
4. DS NYC 2024?!?! 👀
Always one of my favourite moments of my week 🙏
The sad reality that you cropped a shirt too short hits way too close home lmao
I prefer think the V-neck knit. Also, I personally loved the sweater vest look shown even if it was accidental.
Id on the shirt in the beginning? Great video btw ✌🏼
I love everything about the Acne Studio jeans apart from the dirty look - it's a bit too strong, but of course you pull it off :)
Quote of the Day: “I know what my mum’s going to say.”

The shirt of the end lol
Hey man love the video but the jeans are too much imo 😄
That shirt though😅
you’re such an inspiration
Thanks for the kind words :)

I think Daniel likes pastries more than fashion 😅
I think you could be right 👀
return those then just make your own custom pair of them
