To set things straight, the first ever fuel injected motorcycle sold was the 1980 Kawasaki Z1 Classic. It was a 1000 cc engine and it came with mechanical fuel injectors that clicked when the engine was running. I know, I bought one when they first came out and it was an incredible piece of tech that I am sorry I sold it to this day! Ran fast and never gave problems. Everyone would talk about it but it coolest feature was the chrome on the tank!
Loved mine... I'm a big guy and even for me it could be a challenge. With it's high center of gravity and gross weight for a trip without riders was close to 850 lbs.
I took the stock windshield (way too tall) off mine and put a much lower smoked piece. Removed the engine covers so you can see that beautiful 6. And set aside the trunk for a more road kingier look. The brown seat on some of these confuses me. Was that some weird option? I paid a g note for it like 15 years ago.
No they were superior to a goldwing more power better fuel injected system top speed eceleration i have owned a 86 goldwing and 85 voyager and the voyager was just a better machine
the older i get the more i appreciate the beauty of baggers and full dressers. And im right down the road from Lake George/ Americade!

It's a pity that they didn't make more of these 6 cylinder bikes. The sound those bikes produce is epic.
