For all those asking, this is a fictional story. But the ship was real. Built in 1914, the SS Belgenland served as the flagship of the Red Star Line for most of her career. She sailed for 22 safe and uneventful years. The Great Depression left her largely unprofitable, and she was scrapped in Scotland in 1936.

Well, that was the story told to the press, being pushed to the max and all that. What was really going on was that the captain and his xo were making methamphetamines in the boiler room and they hired this new guy because their original cook quit and the new guy accidentally blew everything up. They were trying to make that blue stuff like Heisenberg. The sad part is that the cook felt really bad for what he had done and he was trying to help all the babies into the lifeboats but the DEA busted him on the poop deck and he couldn't help any more babies so tons of babies went down with the ship. They were brave babies.

It did present a problem of sea travel in the past--stuffing the boilers full so the ship will go f faster. That's part of what got the Titanic.

Are you doing a Britannic remake? Also, I got the perfect suggestion(and title) for a fictional story: MS Enchantment of The Seas: The Lost Enchantment. Also I've got the perfect reason for sinking: hitting a rock. The cruise ship would list to port and it would go down by the stern. It would hit the seabed as it would sink in shallow water. When it hit the seabed it would sort of roll onto it's port side and slide to the seabed. I'm not nagging you to do it. It's just a suggestion.☺🚢⛵

The Belgenland herself was real, but the sinking wasn't. She was first built for the White Star Line in 1913 as the Belgic, but in 1914, she was requisitioned as a cargo ship and hastily completed. After the war, she was rebuilt and sold to the Red Star Line and renamed Belgenland. As for the weight, I imagine that after the Titanic, she was designed to be more rigid.

It's a Belgian boat not British, do some more research before telling people stuff. Belgenland also means Belgian Land..
It was actually built in Ireland for a British company, then sold to the Red Star Line after WWI
