And no, after the 2.5 year contract they will most likely not renew because they are a temporary group but we really hope they do😭😭 That's the way Mnet survival show groups work. Kepler that was formed from "Girls Planet" are disbanding i think by June because their contract is ending and there wasn't an agreement with the members companies.
nooo that’s so sad, why have them go through all of that just then disband after just starting. They have such a huge fan base already and they are so close they won’t want to disband and especially not be together after this.
@@seungmin_mong_mongthat’s usually the point, companies send their trainees to survival shows to gain exposure and fans and so if they make it they get huge amount of fans and then when the 2.5 years are over they go back to their companies and they debut again in a new group or go solo but usually the groups end up being super huge cuz of the members already existing fanbase (ex : Wonyoung/Yujin in Ive) But since companies usually want their trainees back (to make a new group with them in it so they gain profit) that’s why they refuse negotiations to extend (there’s more chances with zb1 tho compared to previous seasons but we’ll see 🙏)

Standard contracts are 7 years but group that are formed on big survival shows like Boys Planet, Produce, The Unit, etc. are temporary project groups so they are usually around 1-2 years.
