I love frank miller. His art is amazing, and his writing is good too. Yes, all star was weird... but it wasn't gawd awful. Batman By Frank Miller is amazing... (besides dark knight strikes again.) And keep in mind, that he is super old...
I like Frank Miller's work on Batman Year One and The Dark Knight Returns. Everything else that Frank Miller has wrote is f*cking terrible. I don't consider All Star and Strikes Again cannon cause they're terrible. The new sequel to returns I have not read but I bet it's terrible Frank Miller needs to retire

I actually love the Dark Knight Returns yeah Frank Miller doesn't get Superman but I love what he talks about with that book and yeah the media bits were used a little too much but what Frank Miller does for the most part is really good for his version of Batman.Also I liked the real world (At the time) comparisons he made with the DC characters that used.Now if the book was with Pre 52 canon sure I guess you could say its bad but from an elseworlds perspective I think its a really good story and a great Batman story maybe not my favorite but top 10.

To be honest, i enjoyed Frank miller's Batman (not dark knight strikes back though, it's TERRIBLE) cause it was a bit of a realistic world where eventually Batman is exactly how he sounds like. Fricking crazy, cause just think about a guy in a batsuit, only a crazy dude would do that. And Frank Miller's Batman seemed to perfect that.

TheRealComicBookGamer LOL yes! I know I´m in the minority but both those books are not as bad as people think, you just have to read it in context, Frank Miller got into comics wanting to make them more cinematic yet he stayed in wanting to make them less so. It´s a little hypocritical from him but what he was trying to say with both those books was that he never meant for the dark writing to be the standard in comic books, only in those where it fitted. The problem with All Star Batman at least was that it was marketed as another completely serious take on Batman, another Dark Knight. But it wasn't that at all, the editor didn't get it what so ever. It is a satire hahaha. Like when he is talking about Superman or Green Lantern and is calling them idiots, it´s not about the characters, it is hard to watch, but they actually represent either the government again or the comic book industry depending on how you want to see it. With all that power all they do is fuck things up, that´s what I think Frank is trying to say. I may make a video about that in the future because explaining that in a comment is pretty hard haha but it´s ok man, they are not masterpieces but they are not garbage as everybody thinks. Grant Morrison talked about it once in "Fatman on Batman" if I remember correctly...

***** Not in my eyes. Yeah has some good books, but the bad overweigh the good when it comes to Frank Miller. Who thought that the Dark Knight Strikes Again was a good idea?? It could've started out a pretty good idea yes, but the problem was that the story was just poorly written, and the artwork doesn't help it at all seeing how bad that is. At least All Star Batman & Robin had good artwork, and most of us know how bad that was.
***** Well I will say that I didn't enjoy TDKR as much as other people did, I will say it does have some good elements to it. That being said I love Batman Year One.
