Nick has always been a 'bohemian' icon of the 'well to do' in Australia.... the working class and mainstream music in Australia has had nothing much to do with Nick Cave. I'm not surprised that he affiliates himself with Israel or any wealthy powerful interest/lobby group as that is where his fan base lies.
Well, to be fair, Nick Cave has created, with the Bad Seeds, some original and very influential music. With the Birthday Party too. I've been a fan as I've been a fan of Pink Floyd and of Roger Waters in particular. But Cave's views on the war/genocide in Palestine and his apparently close ties with Israel are patently wrong as are a number of other things with him. So, a great musician (his older stuff, not so much nowadays) but a questionable character. It happens... PS. Rather ironically, Nick Cave has penned a beautiful and critical song called The Mercy Seat but has no mercy for the slaughtered Palestinians.
Cave has always been a wannabe, An imitator, always courting fame and self interest above else, His subversivity is not authentic, but a cultivated niche to make a name for himself. If it was genuine, he would have grown out of it by now. He's as far away as he's always been from any real musicianship.

And the opera wasn't even about the 20th century (for those who don't know, _Ca Ira_ was about the French Revolution, and should be heard by everyone).
Long life and happy days to you. You are truly one of the real ones.
Shine On mate.
Thankyou....🇸🇩🇸🇩❤️☮️✌️😎
I don’t care if you are sick of hearing it…I have loved you since I was 16…I’m 60 now :) I am so glad that you are the man I always thought you were. An authentic, honest, decent, iconic human. Love you!
Great message Rog
I am not religious , was a music lover, and at first glance I d say Respect, the man has lost a son, but then again, it is a rule for poor humanity, that most care only about their "getto"
WOW O WOW. 100% Empath Warrior, kick ass Roger!
Love and respect Roger, God bless and grant you a long and healthy life 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Roger, thank you. It has been many yrs now, n your rage is in millions out there. This G must be stopped .
It's sad times indeed when you can't even type that G word out because googles filters censor comments with that word. The G£N 0 C!D£ must be stopped
I love your music, it makes me so happy to see that not only are you and incredible artist, but you're also a good man, a very good man. Someone with principles willing to stand up for the weak. You're a legend Roger!!!!!❤
Cave has always been a wannabe,
An imitator, always courting fame and self interest above else,
His subversivity is not authentic, but a cultivated niche to make a name for himself.
If it was genuine, he would have grown out of it by now.
He's as far away as he's always been from any real musicianship.
@@elusiveeagle8597 You're probably too harsh on the ole Nick but I see your point. Still think that he created some gems with the Bad Seeds: The Mercy Seat, The Weeping Song, From Her to Eternity, Do You Love me, Red Right Hand.
@@elusiveeagle8597 He's always been more of a poet than a musician. Pretty good poet for a pop music as far as I know. I'll have to look up his statements on Israel b4 passing judgement.
@@Phaidrus you're right, I'm being a bit harsh,
But if there ever was a time to be that...
Nick Cave, is up the arses of the Royal family
Nuf fkn said !!!!
They all wish they had the same courage as you, Roger
Gosh... this dude has lost all his effing marbles. Sad
I met Nick Cave once & was very unimpressed. Roger is spot on as usual
Rock on, Roger! 👍
Not in Israel of course.
Even though he (roger) has previously played their..

This face is true of love

Nick F----ing Cave..... lol....
On a serious note, thanks for being a voice for the Palestinians. It's a truly heartbreaking situation.
There's an interesting article out there re: Palestine. It was very alarming.
Bless you and all out there.
Roger, you give me some hope. Thanks
This grandfather will destroy capitalism!
Das a very very very stvp1∆ thing to say, Mr i-don't-know-what-capitalism-is-but-i-say-nonesene-anyway..
Shame on You, m0r0n!
@AForgottenname-A doesn't need to, capitalism is imploding on itself. unfortunately it will destroy everything first
OK
...and he'll end up living in a cave. But not with Nick Cave.

Roger please keep being you, you keep doing the right thing, thankyou
I cannot describe how in tune my heart is with this clip.. feeling hopeless until I see your honesty and bravery. Hope that someone else gives a shite not just me. I'm not alone! And you use your fame and are vilified for telling the fecking truth. BDS... FREE FREE FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸 🇮🇪
Some artists like Roger Waters are inspirational; others like Nick Cave are disappointing.
Was ist inspirierend?
Good afternoon, I’m not afraid of this word, the peace-bringing man Roger Waters. A simple man, 32 years old, from Russia is writing to you. I don’t know your language well, which is why I use a translator (I apologize for that). I literally just watched your interview with Arkady Mamontov. I was very surprised and amazed by your sober, real and kind words towards my country and my people. Thank you very much from the big Russian heart and endless pure soul!
I hope God hears my prayers for your health and your family. May everything be fine with you!
an artist doesn't follow your orders so you verbally and racially abuse them. Careful you don't become that which you despise.
Ist er schon,leider !
Shaming someone who deserves to be shamed is what it is.
Long live Brian Eno!!! Long Live Roger Waters!!!
Brian Eno, acant garde extremist but not a genocidal Nik the rat CAVEMAN
Love you rog.
Roger We wish you long and happy life.
Long live sir ❤
your the first person I've ever heard utter a word against him, thank yoo thank you thank you....
Thank you Roger for your humanity. Much love and respect from this Aussie who is anti-genocide and pro Palestinian - which, I’d like to believe, is most of us.
You're among my hero list Mr. Roger Waters. My heartfelt gratitude for all you do!
Russia Today... R.I.P.
I like that you are a real person and just hop on RUclips to express yourself! And of course I love your music! I’m blessed to have been able to see your live performance in Portland, Oregon. What a show! Been a fan for about 30 years. ❤️
I was at that show too (if you're talking about the most recent one) ... it was well worth the wait!
Goebbels gives a standing ovation in hell. His techniques were not in vain. Bravo Roger!
Free England!!!!!
England's doomed
God bless you❤
Lowkey wrote a terrific song about the ongoing israeli genocide against palestinians. Macklemore also wrote a song about the ongoing genocide against palestinians. Macklemore refused to play in israel after he understood that israel runs an apartheid regime.
Love your message roger❤
Free Palestine 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Roger, you are THE MAN.
Thank you Roger, i wish there were more musicians like you, with a ❤
We've got a lot of people in Australia aka Murica Lite who support 'Moderate Rebels' in Syria and the Azov Battalion in the Ukraine. It say's it all actually!
Canada has the same issue. Maybe even worse but that would be very hard!
@@raysondetre In 2014 PM Tony Abbott told us that Jabhat al-Nusra aka AL-QAEDA were Australia's best friends in the Middle East he even got General Patereaus to second that. They have no shame these people.
I know of one Aussie bloke that would've crossed that road with you, arm in arm, Roger. The very estimable, and somewhat late, Daevid Allen (may the fun gods bless his soul for a few more eternities yet).
I love you roger, you are the best in this hypocritical world.. ❤
What have you done man to make us love you so much. I don’t know if a day will come to express our gratitude and love for you. We pray to God that you live a long, healthy, and happy life. God bless you and all magnanimous, brave, and beautiful hearts and souls
