fab video Jack, The job they have done is very good and like you said if someone does a good job not only is it good to pass credit but also show it off.
Hi Jack- I am like yourself and not confident with weathering my locos although I had a go on wagons and was happy with the result. The costs are I think reasonable and for the price of a Bachmann wagon you can get light weathering which I see is ideal for say a heritage line where although the locos are cleaned regularly you cant stop the every day dirt and grime. What they have achieved with yours gives me confidence in giving it a try...……………….Cheers Kev
Some great work, 90047 is a masterpiece👍 I’ve been tempted to add another 90 to my fleet & seeing what a great job has been done to the grey former railfreight loco has convinced me to get one. Weathering is very much a personal thing, the realism that be achieved is amazing, but part of me still loves a brand new model🤔 I’m guessing the answer is to have a mixture of both....... Great vid as usual, I’m going to take a look at GC right now‼️ Cheers John B
Wratting Road - Hi, thanks for the reply Jack. I only own 90042 at the moment, but I’ve been eyeing up the grey Bachmann Railfreight one for a while & it’s not a bad price right now.... but getting it changed to Frieghtliner livery is the way forward I think. I’m also keeping my eye open for getting an old Hornby 90 to strip out & modify, I see them pass by (Colwich WCML) double heading, so having a “dummy” 90 would be a good option, although they’re generally EWS or Schenker Red & always look pretty worn out. As ever I’m looking forward to your next update. 👍John B
Superb weathering! Excellent video and I really like the Class 66 and now must get one. Perhaps a dopey question, but I honestly wouldn't know being an American modeler new to the GORGEOUS British OO-gauge trains in 2015 and I'm still not familiar with your railway network in the UK other than it's far superior to what we have here as ours doesn't stand in the shadow of yours, I'm not familiar with what all the locomotives are used for. As an example, would the Class 66 be used for passenger rail or only freight? Currently, I have four sets of OO-gauge trains: Class 390 Pendolino Class 221DMU Class 350 London Underground S Stock with more passenger rail sets to buy. I didn't plan on buying freight rolling stock, but if the Class 66 was only used for freight purposes then I'd have to be prototypical. Enjoyed this video and I just subscribed. Cheers!
@@belsteadlanemodelrailway You're welcome and thank you for your response and clarification on exactly what the Class 66 is used for as I wasn't sure and oddly enough, never thought to ask my friend/train tech who's not only from Liverpool, but has a Class 66 himself. Great trains that you have there in the UK and the models of them are beautiful. Thanks again!
Hi Great video. The weathering looks great and it's always good to find another company to do this kind of work. I love your rail freight 90 too, that's a superb job. Cheers Paul 👍
They look really good Jack, well worth the money spent. Paul

Really great video mate - lovely work by GC. I will look into trying them out at some point! All the best mate.
They’ve done some nice work there and your layout is looking great too
An informative video thanks I will look them up when I decide to get some of my locos weathered cheers Andy
Nice loco. Do they supply the loco or did you send them one to work on?
Wratting Road thanks fella. I’ll get in touch with them. 👍
Have you got the class 70 in freightliner green?
Was the change of buffer type a product of GC weathering?
Wratting Road cheers for the quick reply!
Nice one Jack, very good viseo. I am Love with 90047 - it is sublime with what they have achieved with it.
