For those who are wondering about the story behind this song (correct me if I'm wrong here):
This song is written by Seunghyub and its about his grandparents, whom his grandfather passed away and he noticed that his grandmother had been using his grandfather's photo as a profile pic on social media with a caption meaning "forever friend", so he was inspired to write this song... so the illustration in this mv is basically his grandparents, which his grandfather is becoming a child again (its also in the lyrics) and slowly losing his memories (represented as balloons) and the last memory he kept before he left was his grandmother (which was the balloon he drew on) :')
I put too much effort to not to cry while watching the mv but you just broke me with this explanation comment. I'm such weak hearted 😭

제 생각엔 함께했던 추억을 보여주는 장면인 것 같아요. 할아버지가 온전히 할아버지로 표현돼있고 할머니도 갸우뚱하시는 걸로 봐서 어르신들 스마트폰 처음 써보고 이리 저리 만져보다가 웃기는 각도로 셀카 찍으셨고, 그 순간을 간직하고 싶어서 카톡 프로필로 해놓으신 것 같아요...ㅠ

I think anyone who's had a family member succumb and pass away after suffering from Alzheimer's can understand the anger, grief, remorse, and coming to terms expressed in Lee Seung Hyub’s beautiful lyrics. It was so terrible, frustrating, and sad dealing with my mother-in-law as she slowly lost her last memories of my father-in-law who passed away two years before her decline. As I listened to this song, it brings back my feelings so vividly but wraps me like a warm hug saying, "It's okay to feel that way. Their battle's done so let the effects of their disease on you go, like a balloon, to the heavens." Thank you @letsroll_nf for putting to paper and song what so many of us feel and can't express accurately. For me. Why I do feel like balloon is like memories. The grandma is already old and had created many memories (good memo), however, the grandpa lost each balloons as go back to young age. There's two meanings here, balloons are memories of the person who hold the balloons, someone who live longer, more memories that he/she can create and vice versa.
And also Can refer as memories by someone that thinking of him. As you see, since the grandma hold many memories with the grandpa, but he left the world already, the balloons that hold by her, means the memories that she had abt him lost one by one. And you can see the boy draw the grandpa's face on balloon, there 's a meaning, the memories that she hold with grandpa, one of that put a funny default picture..

that's not the grandson. It's the grandfather, he was aging backwards. I don't know if it's supposed to mean he had Alzheimer or something. Even though he was aging physically he might be regressing mentally. That's why the balloons flew away while he aged backwards.

I'm sorry but this reminds me of my grandparents. My late grandpa had a cancer and during his last days, my grandma would always be by his side. Though he can't do much but my grandma still talked to him every single day and never leave him alone until the day he died. This song got me because it reminds me of their unconditional love. They're living with each other for a very long time and for my grandma to send the love of her life go is never an easy thing. Glad that I'm by her side atm, I told him that he already went to heaven so she must not worry to much and just focus with her life. omg im sorry if I wrote too much, I lost him last month and up until now I can't help but to cry if there's a song that reminds me of him. かなりおとうふを感じた I’ve been a fan of Kenshi Yonezu ever since his days as Hachi-P in the vocaloid scene (he’s a really great artist). I didn’t think this song is a plagiarism, and wherever it sounds similar may be due to the beat. The chords seem different to me (albeit I haven’t looked at the music score yet), but for the most part it could’ve been a sampling. Too much seem different musically to outright call it a plagiarism...plagiarism is a strong word and without words from the parties involved, could highly damage both parties and create drama that wasn’t to occur in the first place. I think it’s unfortunate that such a thought occurred and that you feel wronged. I’m quite concerned myself with this mention, but I don’t specifically hear the similarities even with another listen to both. I will revise my thoughts after officially hearing the verdict from both artists, however, and hope that this will be all resolved peacefully between them if something really is amiss. Thank you for pointing out your concern though.

i remember the sentence i said back then that hurts me so much. i literally watch her from normal to her losing her memories. i lived with her since im young, the memories from when she's healthy to her getting weaker, thin and just laying in bed, is still here in memories. im still having hard time to recover everytime i remember about this fact.

N.Flyingのリーダーのスンヒョプさんがご自分のお婆さまが携帯の連絡先に亡くなったお爺さまのことを「永遠の友達」と登録しているのを見たことからこの曲が書かれました。徐々に子どもになっていくお爺さまと飛んでいってしまう風船は記憶を一つ一つを失っていくお爺さまを表し、彼が去る前に風船に描いたお婆さまは彼の持っていた最後の記憶であるお婆さまを表します。
元々はN.Flyingの単独公演を通じて公開されました。その後多くのファンによって正式音源発売の要請が殺到し、”N.Flyingの音楽を愛してくれるファンに向けて”とスペシャルデジタルシングルの形で世に出ることになった思い出の詰まった悲しくも美しい曲です。

some people are saying that's her grandson but i think it's more that rather than that, she's actually walking with her husband as he grows younger and younger-
i feel like that walk was letting the grandfather go, by going through his life, reliving some moments, until the point he's a child. and then when her husband as a child disappears, it's like the final closure for the grandmother, even if bittersweet, before she ventures off and learns to let her husband go (thus the balloons all slowly disappearing except for one, which is the one she treasures most since he drew his own face on it??)
i'm not really sure what i'm saying but god bless seunghyub for making another masterpiece, especially dedicated to his grandparents, because it really shows how much he loves them :( he and n.flying as a whole really deserves the whole world

me too. but mine is rather sad. i think of that child, well her husband, has amnesia. i felt like, her husband was slowly losing his memories, and started to act more "child-like". as time passes by, he grew older, and his memories faded evryday
