    Hey man! I'm just letting you know that I absolutely love your videos. You got such good opinions on movies and have nonstop amazing reactions. I think I've binged almost every single one of your videos at this point. I do want to ask if you will be reacting to any thrillers or horror movies in the future? For example Alien, or The Thing?

    Jack Nicolson did absolutely no acting in this movie, he's just like this. All Tim Burton did was let him off the leash and follow him around with a camera.

      @sianne79 11 месяцев назад

      well but he said "You made me when you dropped me in that vat of chemicals" which could mean either way I guess....but that, coupled with this version making it very obvious that Batman DOES kill tends to tip my line of thinking towards the deliberate.

    Alfred wasn't taking the glass to get rid of any trace of Bruce's DNA. He just caught it just as it was about to fall off the edge of the table, unbeknownst to Bruce. Just like a moment before, he was right behind Bruce to take the pen out of the planter after Bruce casually stuck it there. It's almost like a comedy routine; the absentminded millionaire with his butler following close behind to clean up his messes.

But also it’s part of Alfred’s charm that he’s always ready with what Bruce needs, like later in the movie when he’s already pouring a glass of water for Bruce just as Bruce is walking into the room asking him to get him a glass of water.

    100% the Burton Batman films are filled with style from the Noir 1930s feel too everything with the old style sound effects, heavy use of old analog tech, mix of 1930s fashion alongside 1980s and an overall timeless look and feel to everything like Gotham is stuck between the 1930s and 1980s. Gotham alone designed by production designer Anton Furst was an amazing mix of Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Gothic Revival architecture to create a very unique looking city. Even the comics adopted this architecture in a story where a villain blew up buildings across Gotham City revealing the old Gothic buildings underneath making the city closer to that showcased in Batman 89. Before this Gotham did have it's own style but adding the Anton Furst's designs just completed the look.
    Then we had the amazing Animated Animated Series in 1992 that went more into the timeless 1930s/1940s look using more Art Deco and even featured characters driving retro looking cars even though the show was set in the early 1990s. Also had a mix of tech as well so characters used typewriters but computers and voice recorders also were a thing. And one of my favourite aspects introduced were blimps used by the police something they brought over into the comics as well, blimps flying overhead an Art Deco, Timeless Gothic Revival Gotham City just looks so good.
    This is where the later Batman films fall off for me. I love the Nolan trilogy but beyond Batman Begins that has a pretty solid Gotham City but both Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises looked like basic American City's with zero changes beyond having Gotham written everywhere. Dark Knight is just Chicago with Gotham Police Cars. The DCEU as well suffers from this problem, Gotham looked great in the Flash but beyond this it's just another city. The Batman (2022) though nailed Gotham City as like The Flash they mostly short in the UK in cities with Gothic Architecture so it does actually look like it's own city rather than New York with a different name.

    When this movie first came out, I bought the accompanying book which has the entire movie, not just what was on the screen but the deleted scenes. Do you remember when the joker said that he wanted his face on the $1 bill? The money he was tossing out was supposed to be monopoly money ($1 bills) with his face on it.

    About the art museum, Bruce never made the date. In a deleted scene, it was Joker doing an impression of Bruce, calling Vicki for the date.
    As for Alfred letting Vicki into the Batcave, Bruce was already going to reveal it to himself at her apartment and Vicki was piecing it all together.
    Yes, this Batman kills, BUT not as much as Batfleck. This Batman was heavily influenced by the golden age version of Batman who DID kill some criminals whether they were nazis, gangsters, vampires. Hell, in one those old comics, Bats literally HUNG a mutated man from the Batwing!
    I'd argue that Batman (1989) is a better Killing Joke movie than... The actual Killing Joke movie we got.

    Batman moves so stiffly because the consumers back then were made out of thick rubbor Which really restricted his movement in the fight scenes

      I actually disagree. Batman is 100% strong enough to pull him up and I don't but the leather glove thing. Something no one ever notices is the camera cuts to Bruce's face while holding Jack and you can almost see a faint recognition in his eyes. I always felt Batman realized this is his parents murderer but only subconsciously so he dropped him on purpose but even he doesn't realize he did it
