That bowl is beautiful! For a first effort, it’s worth being proud of the result. Too bad about the vase, but you’ll figure it out, no doubt about it. That drizzle tool is pretty cool. I use markers frequently and haven’t had too much trouble with them rubbing off. Though, I use mostly UV resin and often cover the marker in resin after its applied.
Your bowl is beautiful! I haven't tried one, but I will! I'm looking for a quality table top tripod, for the same reason you are. I'll keep you posted if I find one.

The bowl is awesome 👍 I think the reason the resin ran off the base is like you said.. it is to slick. When crafting vases in the past I have had to spray paint the glass vase. I have also used modge podge first before acrylic paint. I have not tried resin yet but will now. Lol. Best of luck to you. Great work. Thanks for inspiring me. No I have never tried it but I always wanted to but I was kind of afraid to because I never do anything right I always try but somewhere along the line I always mess up and I get very frustrated with it

I would say it was a great first try. Love the color choices. My advice would be to wipe the Vase down really good with alcohol before you start that will will prevent the fish eyes. Also, I wonder if using the table top resin vs the casting resin would be better. Why I say this is because it's a coating resin so like for tumblers and such. I used it on my rose cube and it coated all four sides perfectly and not a ton of it ran off. Does that make sense?
I’m wondering if your resin was too thin??? I love watching Mixed Media Girl, she got me started in paint pouring. I have done the vases with paint pouring but not with resin. So I am curious as well to what happened. I LOVE your bowl ❤❤❤❤ with your next bowl, try using a scalloped edged mold, when placing it into the bowl to shape it, it will naturally give you those bends. I am following you on FB, however I am unable to share pictures. Not sure if it’s just me??? Would love to share things and see what others have done.

I love your bowl. When I use the Let’s Resin chrome markers I always go over it with gloss varnish to seal it afterwards. I am looking at the jDiction markers because they say that they are waterproof. Have you tried them? Let me know
I tried doing this and I did it in all mica powder it is still sitting in my craft room I had no opaque color.I have had the same issue with the chrome makers love the way it looks but hate that it comes off so I tend not to use them. Love your Bowl.
You can pour over that vase again amey.....and I am so glad to hear that I'm not alone on how I feel about the chrome markers and stuff to give the gold edges on pieces. Nothing stays
Those colours are stunning! The vase could be affected by the oil on your hands. Maybe cleaning it with alcohol before you pour would help. I love your bowl. ❤️

I don’t think you’re supposed to use acrylic since it’s water based in resin. The bowl is beautiful!
Yes you can use acrylic paint in resin. Just be careful how much your adding. ❤
You have to wipe it down a couple of times with alcohol! If one oil is on it at all the resin will not stick!

I love the bowl,, clean the vase with alcohol than poor the clear, don’t spray alcohol in between than it will stay on the vase
