From The 1987 Movie Soundtrack Burglar Check Out My Original & Covered Songs! Links Below ORIGINAL SONGS • Two Pack Habit & Krist... COVERS SONGS • Cover Songs By: Two Pa...
Sly Stone showed why he is a musical Genius! "I'm A Burglar" , is still a great song! It reminds me of the "Beverly Hills Cop II" soundtrack! Great Times Summer 1987 !! Hey Now! And this was definitely one of Whoopi Goldberg's funniest movies!
I wonder what Whoopi’s reaction was like when she first heard this. Imagine it. Sly Stone must’ve been a legend to her. Imagine having your own personal hero cook up such a magnificent piece of audio dope like this as the theme song for your next movie.
1987 was probably the last good year of the 80s because from that point on the decade was starting to make it's farewell into the 90s. even though a few songs throughout 1990-1993 had 80s vibes
This is the last Dope song Sly recorded before he went off the "rails" and sold his entire music catalog to Michael Jackson for only $1 Million?!🎶 🎤 🎸 🥁 Almost 40 years later...It has aged very well! The primary use of synthesizers, drum machines, and sequencers, sometimes using them to replace all other instruments, may sound dated... But this is one of my favorite hidden gems of his late career! 💎
Thanks Kelly Mark for your Courtesy music Im really enjoying this music at the middle of the night! The 80s were special never will be the same like the 1987 was a special year !!
Whoopi Goldberg's Bernie character is originally a guy in the novels based on this movie. The author was a bit pissed off that they got a female lead and when he wrote his next line of books he included Whoopi but as Bernie's cousin "Bernice" to make her canon.
Went to see "Burglar"at the movies...title song comes on during intro of movie,Sly Stone...imagine hearing this in surround sound,of course I later got the Soundtrack to this movie.
I wish they had taken that Korg keyboard and shoved it as far up into the 1980's as they could stick it! With that chintzy sounding keyboard taking the place of good old fashioned horns, and the whack-whack drum computer, most music from the 1980's sounded 'dated' the very day that it was released! What little music that Sly Stone managed to turn out in the 1980's, found the music legend doing nothing more than turning out 'sound-a-like' crap like this! Couldn't Sly have gotten his talented hands on a Hammond B3 organ?
80's movies have some of the best soundtracks
damn straight

"Let's see what you got for me today."
"I gotta stop doing this shit"
I was born 30 years late god dammit, wish I could have been the age I am now in the 80's...
This movie had a grest soundtrack, plus I can't think of a Whoopi Goldburg movie I don't like. She's a damn great actress

A Bernard Edwards production. Bernard on Bass and Tony Thompson on drums

I thought it was Goldberg the whole time since I was a freaking kid.
I need the lyrics to this! Please!
please in German she is so funny
What is the name of the song I can't find it I love it
Hannah Gibson I'm the burglar
:43 what is this lyric?
“I look for silver but trying to make me gold” not sure if that makes sense but I’m sure that’s the line
Okay what comes right after this?
@@Rashy225- what the next line?

Sly fans didn't think much of this. It sounded like a generic 1980's tune with its computer drums and Korg keyboards. Weak.
