  • Seattle Aquarium researchers travel monthly to Washington's outer coast to conduct surveys of the local sea otter population. They hike to remote observation points and use scopes to document otters' numbers and diets. These findings shed light on the health of local otter populations-and the ecosystems otters support. In September 2023, our team was joined by researchers from the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Follow along on their journey.

    Made a trip to Hole in the Wall a few weeks ago inspired by this video, and ended up seeing a wild sea otter! Best camping experience I've ever had
