Exactly why i never back away after i pitch , as soon as the ball leaves my hand my glove protects my face. Ive caught at least 10 balls that should have taken my teeth out. To me it only adds to the fun, and i spend alot of the time with bone bruises on the shins and the sort but as long as i protect my face and wear my cup i dont care if they hit up the middle, keeps me on my toes.
you can tell its late, he's been in the cooler all day, and he wants to show how much of a badass he is...that is an "E" tourney somewhere, and he is too much of a girl to move up with the big boys....I would love for him to get that crap started against us...the fact is, when you are going to hit the middle by running at the pitch, your pitcher is dead...
@davidcalli 12 there's no unwritten rule about going up the middle except for in scrub leagues... good ball players hit middle and the ones who cry about it shouldn't be playing the game
the league i play in if the umpire notice's that the batters on either team are going back at the pitcher or the pitcher is hit by each team twice that team is givin an out and then a technical out meaning the guy behind the guy that hit the pitcher the second time is out, i know its bullshit
Lets see, A guy standing 40ft. away, lofts a 12inch ball to you, going like 5 mph and you have the ability to hit it right back at him? Very impressive. Your a joke. As is anyone who defends you. As a pitcher in 12 inch slow pitch you wanna chuck it and then take about 4-5 steps back and to the hitter's pull side..

It one think if the guy pitching was under 50 maybe go for it hit middle. But good lord not sure in that game hitting middle made much sense.
