    Nice catch!!! Those wild sailfins are beauties. If you google "Atlantic silverside" and "Mummichog" you'll see those 2 fish you guys caught. Lets hope you get a nice male out of the new fry.

    Awesome video, there's so much interesting stuff to collect in Florida, whether livebearers, killis or even (invasive) cichlids. I have to admit I died a little when you guys threw back the sheepshead minnows/pupfish (Cyprinodon variegatus) since that's a species I've been looking to add to my own fishroom!

      @@FishTankBarn It was cool to see the habitat of the Cyprinodon, makes me want to book a trip down to try and get some myself...

    Grew up throwing cast nets in the pasco/hernando canals using sailfin mollies fat belly chubs and the such as bait. Tiger chubs were always a no no and would never get eaten. Can literally catch thousands on 595/aripeka rd on any given day on the out going tide

    Wow awesome! I would love to do that!! Did you catch any invasives??

    • @radioraffa
      @radioraffa 14 дней назад

      Usually have to go a little further south for invasives, also this was a brackish runoff that goes into the Gulf.

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  14 дней назад +1

      No we didn’t catch any invasives. I think a lot the invasives are further south of where we were

    Are the mollies native or introduced?

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  День назад

      My understanding were those mollies are native
