I'm actually loving the clones to be honest. Especially in the Lattafa, Armaf and Fragrance World house. They just really do the tricks. You saving money and getting a quality product. It's a win win basically.
I am more concerned with smelling good than the clout of dropping names of expensive brands. Whenever folks ask me what I am wearing I never mention "Brand". I mention name and usually that is all anyone is seeking. I love clones. Over the past year, 95% of what I have purchased has been an "inspired by" fragrance.
I love clones personally. For me the end goal is to smell great and if i can get a 200-300 dollar scent for sub 80 dollars thats a win in my book … I get the “You smell good” more than a “What are you wearing?” So i seldomly have to say what i got on .. love the videos Smell Good Family have a great week
I’m an average guy just wants to smell good so I don’t care much of OGs because the clones actually made me know most of them and even decided to buy a few ogs. I buy clones to save money and some of these clones are overpriced when hyped like what happened with hawas months ago. Clones should always be cheap because that’s why we bought them to begin with. As it relates to telling people, I do tell them the name without mentioning the OG because they don’t know nor care for them.
It was a long time ago, but I wore CDNI to the gym. For some reason, I go nose blind to it, so I probably over sprayed. I had to guys that kept looking at me until one of them ask me what I was wearing, and I LIED and said Aventus and they said..."I knew It"...I have no issues with clones.

I knew it 🤣😂... But for the average nose, they don't know the difference. That's why the company & the bottle is not that important. It's the juice.
I don't care about them being clones. What I look at is scent, and performance according to the price. I use that same criteria for designers as well. Too many designers putting out average smelling and poor performing juice but cashing in on their brand name. I'm no longer on that train. And let's face it, most niche are going to be out of the average consumers budget.
As for what do I tell people I'm wearing? The clone of course. Especially if they like it, now they know they don't have to break the bank to enjoy a fragrance
That's why, most of my fragrances are middle Eastern. Most of them last longer that designers (not all). I got just a couple of niche, a little bit more designers & the rest is middle Eastern.

Personally, clones allow me to acquire a diverse scent collection. Also, when I wore Ventana by Armaf and was complimented, I told them it was a clone. I like putting people up on affordable fragrances
I love your Wood Oud take. I have VON and it does smell similar. VON makes me smell like my grandfather (RIP). Woody Oud is smoother and smells a little more youthful.
I'll tell people I'm wearing the original...100% because it's far easier than trying to explain to them who/what is Armaf Club de Nuit. Honest to God truth, it has nothing to do with the price. Most people who know the name are familiar with the price and not all that impressed. Anyone who doesn't know the name, are very unlikely to look it up anyways, and therefore will never know the price.

I actually have a 50 ml of oud wood and wanted a full size bottle. My cousin has Woody oud and I liked the similarity and I layer it with the oud wood. This stuff works.
Just purchased this today cause I love Oud Wood by Tom Ford but it’s so expensive… I had bought a 10 Ml bottle for just 100$ after tax… now I’m gonna get woody oud

I love clones too. I think to be cloned is highest compliment. They affordable luxury. I would never pass a clone off as original though. That's disingenuous, keep it 💯. You wearing a clone, I say own it.

I just tried a small sample of Tom Ford then bought a big bottle of Woody Oud. First off, its almost identical in scent which blew me away. I will say Oudy Wood is a slightly more sweet or powdery, lighter, and Tom Ford is SLIGHTLY more woody/pine. After an hour they both smell equally amazing. However, the smell does not last very long. Woody Oud beats Tom Ford Oud Wood in longevity and is much cheaper. This week I have been pretty heavy on the Wood Oud then going light on the Tom Ford Oud Wood an hour later. It is basically the same meal but Tom Ford has a dash of pepper.
I recently purchased Woody Oud because of curiosity i can say i really enjoy it it smells like TF OUD WOOD 90% definitely. It's a great cheapie I'm glad to own it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
How long did it last and project? Some people in comments say it was gone in 5min. Is this true?

it is very very very similar to oud wood, but it lasts for 1-2hrs max.
Got this a while back and really enjoy it. I also bought Lattafa Alhambra Fabulo Intense. You got to get your nose on this one Dedrick. It's amazing.

Oud Wood is a really nice suit and tie boss frag! I enjoy the DNA. Thameen Carved Oud is a clone of Oud Wood but it’s still a niche house. It’s about the same price I believe but on my sample of it I get like 10 hours performance. Plus it’s creamier because it has iris in it. Sound like Woody Oud would be the one I would purchase since it’s 90% close and inexpensive. Great review!

Inspired by frags are getting closer and closer to the original DNA.. I'm 25+ years into fragrances and these opportunities to grab 90% close clones didn't exist.. I would've saved a sh** load of money.. take advantage.

I just got this and to my nose this has a fresh kind of vibe. It smells like a really expensive bar of men’s soap. I definitely get CEO vibes with this like this is that “I’m the man and I got it like that!” Type of fragrance and for the price this is a must grab. If you wanna smell like a boss and like you the one running things, get you some of this
I enjoy my share of clones, and if someone asks, I just tell them what it is. I figure they will look it up, and decide if they wanna go with what they smelled, or go for original.

Bigg Homie, I used to foot out hundreds of $$$$ on niche fragrances. I was a niche snob, I'll admit it. So what's an original? Montblanc Individual was released before Creed Original Santal, so which is the original I ask.? Who "copied" who? Why spend hundreds of dollars on a fragrance when there's a fragrance out there that smells pretty much identical and has better staying power. To answer your last question, most of the people I dealt with had never smelled any Creeds anyway so.......
I thought the purpose was simply to smell fantastic!

If i wear CDNIM i say i wear CDNIM and when i wear Aventus i say Aventus of course. Why "lie "? People dont care. Plus there are differences between the two fragrances. But when i wear CDNIM im not smelling my wrist. I don't like it on skin at all. But Aventus i cant stop sniffing. I will try to get my hands on Woody Oud cause Oud Wood is stable in my rotation. My opinion on it is the clones are starting to smell better than the ogs. Even a fragrance apprentice for creed said the clone smelled like the original silver mountain water scent. Pretty of why he left the company is because he said quality control started looking shaky because creed started having mixed reviews. The clones are putting in the work and actually putting out a solid product for a decent price.

I am not a collector I wear what I own. I’m not spending money for a bottle to get dusty on the shelf. A full-size bottle is going to last me two years. I’ve got to absolutely love it ❤❤❤ to purchase full size.
Oud Wood is nice but not nice enough for me to own a full size bottle and be committed for three years to empty the bottle. even if it were just $75
Another great video. What fragrance would you recommend that is very similar to Woody Oud/Oud Wood, but with a bit more performance? The Alhambra Woody Oud is falling a bit flat for me, to the point where I'm wondering if I got a bad batch. I'm getting maybe 4hrs.

Dang, I just got this in and I think it smells really fresh and beautiful, but yall, I get NO AMBER/VANILLA ACCORD! Also its not lasting long at all. Maceration issue?
I recommend letting it sit.. mine has changed over time with maceration

2 very different scent profiles… I enjoy both for different reasons.
Recently got this fragrance. For me there is a cloying chemical note that gives me a headache with this scent, also it stays the same for the entire time. I know fragrances are very subjective not a fan of this scent at all

Nope don't care. No I just say what it is. Now there are some colognes that I won't buy the real thing, Louis Vuitton, Creed, some tom fords that are out of my price range, but I will try them so that I can tell how close a dupe is. What ever works for the budget. Woody oud is one that i just got as well, that I wouldn't pay for the real one, too expensive.
