I was just going to ask if this shore excursion was off the ship, when I see it was. If, I a, reading correctly. I have been looking on viator and saw one which is so much like yours. Excellent video, and I love all the spots, bus stopped at. and can I ask what month you were travelling. We are going July 2025.
Can I ask what time of year you were in Geiranger? Hubby and I are headed there in early July 2024 and struggling with how and what to pack as we're also doing a cruise to Iceland and Scotland in late June 2024. Any tips on weather/packing would be much appreciated.
We were in Geiranger the first part of August, Iceland too. Our Scotland trip was late August. Our anniversary is in August so we take trips around that time. Our first trip to Iceland was in June. We took hiking shoes that were water proof and foldable rain jackets that could be put in a daypack. Layers are really key. Morning and evenings were cooler so a jacket was nice then. I never really froze and I am cold natured. There was more daylight in June so that allows you to see more. Im sure you will have such a great time! All of those places are amazing! We did make a reservation, as they do absolutely fill up on days with ships in port. We also went in August, and wish you a marvelous trip filled with great weather and fun times!
This looks amazing! We are going in July and I was wondering, do you remember if the ship arrived on time? And how long it took from arriving to letting people off? We are scheduled to arrive at 11 am, and I booked a bus tour that leaves right off the port at 11:45 am. Is that cutting it too close?

Since it’s only a 5 minute walk from the ship to where the buses leave from, a 45 minute window should be fine. Also, the tour operators are experienced in working with the ship times, and we waited for guests from other ships on some of our later excursions. Reason asking is because we are considering the cruise excursion « Dalsnibba Mountain and Eagle Road » but in the description there is only mention of the Flydal viewpoint and not the skywalk. Dalsnibba Skywalk and the Flydal viewpoint. They are different stops on the tour. We would highly recommend it.
