About Superplanter
Superplanter is an art collective consisting of Singapore-based artists Leow Wei Li and Susanna Tan. In this collective work, we explore the hidden and untapped potential present in discarded materials. With a shared vision of ‘planting’ joy through our work, waste and debris are transformed into ‘plant’ artworks that engage viewers to see waste and recycling in different light. With this pursuit, we hope to advance the idea of a circular economy and close the materials loop in contemplating our man-made and ecological future. We are also particularly interested in the idea of living in a Garden City, all while reflecting the nation's immense love for potted plants as a way for residents to bring nature and respite into their homes.
