The Nike's seem bulky and too casual for my taste, whereas the Stan Smith's seem much more subtle and classy to me. Nah, they actually do have some pairs with good leather. But it is much harder to find these days. I recently picked up the 'Home of classics' edition Stan smiths and they have really good leather. You need to avoid the primegreens and vegan leather versions though, they're quite bad.

Also worth noting that for the same price as a pair of Stans (or less), you can get a pair of white trainers that have better quality and durability. I had some Stans that I wore a few times a week that didn’t even last me a year. My Onitsuka Tiger GSMs, on the other hand, lasted me three years.
I recently came across the Reebok Club C Stacked, which kind of blends the best of both of the AF1s and the Vintage Club C 85, kinda debating on pulling the trigger since I don't actually own any white sneakers

I owned the all white Stan Smith for 5 years and loved them. Until I tried the Club C 85, now I don’t wear the Smiths anymore. The Club C is just way more comfortable and interesting looking to me while still being super versatile.

All i can say is that Adidas Stan Smith is the GOAT of white leather sneaker…This is the Gold Standard of white sneaker…it started it all and most of the white sneakers are designed after the stan smiths .. it goes well even if you dress up or dress down..unlike the other white sneakers that looks good only on certain outfits… look at McQueens chunky sneaker,doesnt it looks like the Stan Smith except for the chunky sole? :)

They are classic for a reason. This is one man’s opinion and that’s ok if he doesn’t like them but I promise you that 80-90% of people that know about sneakers would rank them and the superstars in the S tier with the Air Force ones. I mean he put the reabocks up there and I think most would put those somewhere between c-A. So, it’s all subjective but the consensus is the Stan smiths and Air Force 1s are the GOAT white sneakers. Maybe the common projects will join them some day. I can’t decide because while they’re already one of the most influential sneakers ever, the Stan smiths influenced them so.. we’ll see.

From a guy who's been living in a pair of Stan Smiths, it simply is the one of the greatest shoes ever. Don't get me wrong its not perfect, its very uncomfortable to wear for longer periods of time and the quality is not great either. But its so easy to dress up or down, especially if you choose a pair with black or dark green heelcaps and details. And if you happen to attend school or college where football in the breaks is a must, the stans make for a brilliant boot (amazing curls on the premium leather models). I'll keep buying them, that's for sure
My top 3 white sneakers would be 1. Adidas Forum Lows 2. Asics EX89 (white/blue or white/green) and 3. Reebok Club C 85 vintage. Also Adidas Rivalry Low in off-white/green colorway looks very cool.
Harry! Do we need more than one pair of white sneakers in our collection? I have started with NIKE COURT VISION PREMIUM. I like Converse Chuck Taylor 70 but i find them hard to style up.
If you find you are covered with the Nikes and don’t feel the need for any others then don’t bother. I like having a load of different sneakers. The converse go with everything in my opinion

The Air Force is like so last year, like 2017-2018 vibes. I was totally obsessed with them for a hot minute, but this year, I'm totally over it. Literally everyone is rocking them and there are like a million fake ones out there, killing the whole uniqueness factor. My new go-to kicks are adidas sambas and Gazelles, they're like forever cool. Plus, I'm tall and don't need that massive platform that the Air Force brings.
I agree with your opinion of the Adidas Ultra Boosts. Personally I don't feel like they're worth the almost $200 price tag despite how comfortable they may be. I've been shopping for a new pair of trainers for college and was considering getting them until I saw how much they we're.

Ever since I was a kid and saw these in Fifa Street 2 (iirc), I knew I needed them: Adidas Forum 84 High I got them in the white + off-white with black accents that bring out the silhouette, there's something I love about those classic black on white stripes so the shoe in this colorway hits multiple spots. Bit more of an eye-catcher, especially if you keep them clean, but I recommend checking them out for something less understated if it lines up with your style.

I love the Cortez but hate Nike (for quality reasons). I bought mine for 40 dollars, and at that price, they're good, but I wouldn't pay more than that. If I ever buy new ones, I would get them one size bigger because the shoes are pointed.
As mentioned the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 are a great shoe, I like the Nike Killshot 2’s and also the Adidas Gazelles. To me the Nike AF 1 are the most overhyped shoe of all time and just don’t look good. The Reebok Club C 85’s have always been one of my favorite shoes even when I was a kid in the 80’s I would rock them all the time, especially the white/ mint with gum soles.
AF1's are great but seeing only triple white pairs everywhere gets annoying tbh lol. You'd think that people would wanna pick a unique colorway to stand out with the sheer amount of them available.

I’m 58, I’ve owned almost every sneaker you just ranked. I splurged on a pair of John Lobb Levah’s. Without question the most comfortable and super cool minimalist off-white veg tan glove leather sneakers I’ve ever owned. Ridiculously expensive, but, life is short. Incredible sneakers.

I find it look sleek on some ppl, bought a pair for myself, i find it rounded, not good as much as i imagine. the opening of the laces creates a V shape instead of parallel (mind my english). I can't agree with your rating but that's your opinion. I have AF1, superstar, stansmith, ultra boost, balenciaga track, converse chuck Taylor. Among these, I will rate the stansmith the highest and followed by superstar and AF1. The AF1 is, on my foot, the same level of comfortably as the super star while the Stan smith is better. All of them looks super cool and easy to mix and match. The ultra boost is super comfortable in fact, it just doesn't look too good. My track is super comfortable too. In terms of comforrabilty, it is on par with superstar but due to the steep price point, I will put it to a lower rate, but converse... It is super uncomfortable. It is cheap, it looks cool and that's it. I will still wear it because it really looks cool but I will rate it the least least least. I won't consider the price of all these sneakers. If you are looking for a true value buy, you should look at feiyue.
Better change Title to Ultimate Sneakers for Me only, Stan Smith i used daily specially on daily driving than Airforces One. Why my feet had pain alot while using AF1 than Stan. Yes AF1 had more cushion but still not comfortable than Stan, and 9yrs still strong

I just bought the Adidas Advantage over the Stans cuz there was a big discount where I live. I like them a lot, it's just that my dumbass ordered the wrong size lol. I'm supposed to be an 8.5 US, not UK 😅 It's fine though. They still fit, and I like them for my straight-cut pants, and will soon pair them with white mid-cut socks (hope they go well together).

The Adidas continental three stripes do serve in my opinion as quite a refreshing alternative to the reeboks or the airforce.

I bought myself a pair of vintage 40 year old GATs last week and I can’t stop wearing them. Way cheaper than the Margielas and I’m less afraid to beat them up

The Stan Smith is the best sneaker ever made.
Ever since I was a kid and saw these in Fifa Street 2 (iirc), I knew I needed them: Adidas Forum 84 High
I got them in the white + off-white with black accents that bring out the silhouette, there's something I love about those classic black on white stripes so the shoe in this colorway hits multiple spots. Bit more of an eye-catcher, especially if you keep them clean, but I recommend checking them out for something less understated if it lines up with your style.

I love the Cortez but hate Nike (for quality reasons). I bought mine for 40 dollars, and at that price, they're good, but I wouldn't pay more than that. If I ever buy new ones, I would get them one size bigger because the shoes are pointed.
As mentioned the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 are a great shoe, I like the Nike Killshot 2’s and also the Adidas Gazelles. To me the Nike AF 1 are the most overhyped shoe of all time and just don’t look good. The Reebok Club C 85’s have always been one of my favorite shoes even when I was a kid in the 80’s I would rock them all the time, especially the white/ mint with gum soles.
AF1's are great but seeing only triple white pairs everywhere gets annoying tbh lol. You'd think that people would wanna pick a unique colorway to stand out with the sheer amount of them available.

I’m 58, I’ve owned almost every sneaker you just ranked. I splurged on a pair of John Lobb Levah’s. Without question the most comfortable and super cool minimalist off-white veg tan glove leather sneakers I’ve ever owned. Ridiculously expensive, but, life is short. Incredible sneakers.

agree with you on stan smith. I find it look sleek on some ppl, bought a pair for myself, i find it rounded, not good as much as i imagine. the opening of the laces creates a V shape instead of parallel (mind my english). Try to sell mine now.

I can't agree with your rating but that's your opinion. I have AF1, superstar, stansmith, ultra boost, balenciaga track, converse chuck Taylor. Among these, I will rate the stansmith the highest and followed by superstar and AF1. The AF1 is, on my foot, the same level of comfortably as the super star while the Stan smith is better. All of them looks super cool and easy to mix and match. The ultra boost is super comfortable in fact, it just doesn't look too good. My track is super comfortable too. In terms of comforrabilty, it is on par with superstar but due to the steep price point, I will put it to a lower rate, but converse... It is super uncomfortable. It is cheap, it looks cool and that's it. I will still wear it because it really looks cool but I will rate it the least least least. I won't consider the price of all these sneakers. If you are looking for a true value buy, you should look at feiyue.

Better change Title to Ultimate Sneakers for Me only, Stan Smith i used daily specially on daily driving than Airforces One. Why my feet had pain alot while using AF1 than Stan. Yes AF1 had more cushion but still not comfortable than Stan, and 9yrs still strong

Few months ago I made a Nike by you dunk low in white suede with black swoosh and I absolutely love them!!! They are very comfortable and the quality is weirdly higher than the regulars dunks (I bought a dunk high and I ended up selling them after using just twice because the quality was trash!)

I stopped wearing Air Force 1's when i hit 35, because they're trainers id buy my kid.
what about air jordan 1's would those be okay? i like the design on them especially the mid and high tops. they look similar to the airforces but dont have that ugly strap at the top.

I like stan smith but if i can afford i would buy common projects, they got really good color options like light grey, beige etc. i hate cortez. New balance look chunky but i love its retro style.

I just bought the Adidas Advantage over the Stans cuz there was a big discount where I live. I like them a lot, it's just that my dumbass ordered the wrong size lol. I'm supposed to be an 8.5 US, not UK 😅
It's fine though. They still fit, and I like them for my straight-cut pants, and will soon pair them with white mid-cut socks (hope they go well together).
