I have to chuckle when they say the US is 3rd in land after Canada and Russia. It should be measured in habitable land and arable land. More of the land in the US seems worth having when it comes to usefulness to sustaining a country.

People say that the Americans do not travel. That is false. Americans travel all the time. Most travel within America and rack up thousands of miles! We have 4 vacations per year. One long one, 2 getaways, and one long weekend, most within the United State's 🇺🇸. The United States is huge so traveling from East Coast to the West Coast travel time is 6 hours of flying. Hawaii vacation is always a blast. Alaska is awesome! Florida is fun with the theme parks. California is awesome! The National Parks takes up months of fun!

While Canada is huge, most of it isn't really currently habitable. It is a lot like Alaska, in that, it is very rugged and mountainous, or very cold, or both. I think the stat I always hear is 90% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the US border. What Canada does have is a near infinite supply of all the natural resources that are in high demand... their problem is, they need to figure out a way to reach them or wait for some ice to melt.

Hi Mum . . . Foreign bases may be a little deceiving. There are some truly huge US bases in foreign countries. But others maybe a small equipment store in some small country just to be ready.

Canada likes to fly under the radar. We don't have the enemies a lot of other countries do and we LOVE our wide open spaces, nature and wildlife. The population of Toronto is almost 7 million. About 20% of Canadians were born in other countries.
Just a quote from American comedian George Carlin..."The American dream, you have to be asleep to believe it." It does have problems. Expensive health care, school shootings, highest incarceration rate, highest maternal and infant mortality among first world nations, etc.

Every country has flaws buddy. I see no reason why you felt the need to bash the US. You could have left your comment at talking about Canada and then moving on.

@@redram6080 - Everyone who sees these videos, especially those who have never been to the west, think everything is great. It isn't anywhere. Painting an unrealistic braggadocious picture gets annoying.

@@susieq9801 Yet conveniently you said nothing negative about Canada and only positive things about the country. Saying only positive things about a country is no more "unrealistic" than saying only negatives about a country. The video is about how big the country is for those that are curious about the size of the country in more ways than one. There are many videos out there if they want to know the flaws about the country as well.
On a video where they do nothing but bash the US without saying a single positive thing about it do you also butt in and say a long list of positives it has to keep it "realistic"? If you're not a hypocrite you would but I highly doubt it.

8:19 it is a bigger population, but even proportionally speaking, there are more police officers per person than the UK for example.
