I’m applying today, wish me luck 💕 I’m an undergrad applying and I have got as much experience in caring roles that I could! I really hope I get in and that it’s enough. Thank you for the video

Hi, I am thinking of applying to the STP with genomic counselling as my specialty. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to make my application better?
    Thanks!

Hi Joseph, hopefully this video helped shed a bit of light on what GC trainees get up to! I'm on Genomics so can't give super specific advice but it's really important to show your interpersonal skills in action - you're going to be working with people and discussing difficult situations so try to show where/how you've supported people previously. @diary_of_a_trainee_gc on instagram has some really good specific advice for Genomic Counselling as well. I'd definitely write down all of your points and think about why they are important for clinical scientists/how they show that you would be a good trainee :) I hope that helps?
