I still remember the first time I had at this place(may be Jan 2021) . It was still in a small shop along with the push cart, just next to their current location. Stopped by this eatery when I was heading back home on a Saturday night after a long tiring day at office. Managed to get the last batch of idlis for the day. There was crowd coming in but their stock for the day was over. That first bite of the bisi bisi idli with benne and 2 chutneys totally transported me to a different world altogether. Had 2 idlis and uddina vade. Though vade was just okayish, the taste of that bisi bisi idli will stay with me forever. I did not get sleep easily that day. I was surprised by what 2 bisi bisi Thatte idlis can do. Later when I visited for the second time, I tried tomato rice with masal vade and kayi chutney. Loved it. Have been visiting once or twice a month since then. Though I do not get the same feel as the first time, I totally savour the food there. Mavalli Tiffin Rooms , used to market ready made packets of Upma & Batter for immediate preparation at home after adding boiling water to the contents costing very reasonable price which was highly welcomed by home based consumers. Are those small packets for home consumption, which are cheaper & better than the McDonald's still available in the market. Sir, very very difficult to maintain the taste & labours in business. The ingredients quality’s are not in their control. Labourers are jumping & hopping.
Why?, Teflon is a very inert material it doesn't react to anything, please don't pay head to the people in internet telling teflon causes cancer. Previously there used to be another component PFOA used to be added to the non -stick coating, which was toxic and it has been banned from the last 10 years so any new teflon coated vessels are safe to use and easy to clean a boon to the kitchen. The only time teflon becomes dangerous is when it is heated to 300°C, water boils at 100°C so most cooking is won't even cross the 100°C mark

I don't understand why the grooming standards and hygiene standards of people in these eateries are so low!!. When you are in the food business, your hygiene and grooming should be equivalent to or more than that of people in the healthcare/Medical industry. It does not cost a fortune to keep our hair short, Keep our nails trimmed & cheeks well shaved or well kept or to wear clean clothes. Kripal, please educate these people as gracefully as possible. I have stopped visiting many places for this one reason even though the food tastes good.
Do your parent's and do the same at home ?? With hair chopping?? Nails trimming with nail Polish, everyday shaving?? Go men... Go for unhygiene 7 star hotels and enjoy your life...
