    Purchasing a similar bike stand...from Bikehand.
    As for the handlebar stabilizer. The one end goes on the the clamp arm (not the seat post) the other end goes to the bar. To latch it around the handle bar it's easier to wrap the tab around the bar and pull the tab end as it stretches to one of the holes. Repeat the process to attach on the clamp arm. It is very useful to have the handle bar stabilizer...especially when bleeding the brakes.

    I have had this stand for going on a year, use it on a variety of projects working on many different bikes and it works as I hoped it would.I try not to be unnecessarily rough with it and so far has shown no sign of breaking or coming apart. Some sort of stand is an absolute must have for anyone wanting to do any amount of work on bikes at all. I chose this one mostly because it was all I could afford.Hopefully it will stand up until I upgrade to something in blue.I really like how it moves from my winter shop in the basement to the garage or back yard in the spring and into my half-ton when going with bike(s)out of town. So far so good preeshate the vid
    Cheers. Nice bike btw 👍🤙

    During initial assembly make sure to use the two same sized allen wrenches to remove the REAR bolt on the clamp support bracket, the CLOSED hole on the clamp goes here. The OPEN notch goes over the skewer. No need to rotate the vertical post.

    I bought one about 5 years ago. The plastic tube clamps break. I drilled a hole in the main tube and use a bolt to keep it up. The 2 legs are not as stable as the 3 leg kinds. Its fallen a few times. The bolt for the main clamp pulls thru the plastic. Its ok for a year or two but thats about it.

    Good video. Would like to point out you actually mounted the top bracket backwards. The way you have it in the video you're effectively putting more strain on the bracket because you moved the pivot point away from the vertical pipe and closer to the load (bike). Just my five cents. Thanks for the video.

    It would be difficult to balance my a7pro as it's a step through design, is there a stand for this type of bike ? and it's heavy at 77lbs.

  • @dolittle6781
    @dolittle6781 4 месяца назад

    Well, okay, I guess. I have a similarly designed one and honestly wanted to return it but I kept it past the return date. A very unwieldy contraption; noticed you didn’t show lifting the bike and clamping your bike down in the stand. Gotta have everything lined up otherwise the stand keeps moving away from you. It also seems like you have to hold the bike with one hand/arm and use your other hand to finagle around with the quick release turning and twisting it to get the right opening and tension to close tight enough to hold the bike where you want it. The heavier your bike the more of a pain in the butt it is. I would not recommend any stand setup like this one. Looks cool but the functionality will result in a lot of frustration!

  • @jimfulmer3526

    Totally agree with the usefulness (uselessness) of the front lock down. I just use a bungee. Otherwise, it's a decent stand for the money, and I do like the tool tray.

    Decent looking bicycle - workshop stand as it securely clamps the frame, as opposed to the seatpost, that some cycle shops use. 💪😮👍

    I can't get the back lever and a little thumb activated unlocked mechanism to move whatsoever. You need to use this in order to swivel the clamphead and I can't get the thing to un lock.

    • @SlightlyRadMTB
      @SlightlyRadMTB  11 месяцев назад

      I don't use it when washing my bike. I just lean my bike agains something when I wash it. I put it in the stand once it's ready to be dried. You're right, it would probably rust.

    • @OblivionRatula
      @OblivionRatula 9 месяцев назад

      I have washed on the stand. The stand itself is fine. Only place I've seen rust was from the bolt on the handlebar brace. Now I just make sure I hit it with the leafblower and maybe hit it with some WD-40 before I put it away.

    Throw a little bearing grease on that rubber strap it should slide on and off the nub really easy ... If you don't want to use bearing grease try little white petroleum jelly like Vaseline..
