    If you happen to have Google Earth just type in Crossroads Bible Church Flower Mound Texas and their campus will come right up. When I was first called them, they have a smaller church facility down the road about a mile or so and they've asked me to take a look at that proper and to do a rather extensive remodel and expansion to it. The challenge that we had is when we finished our strategic ministry plan and we look at the growth of the area--while we could add on and remodel to their existing building, they would quickly outgrow it and then they would have an asset that is rather difficult to sell so rather than doing that, we started looking for a new property.
    We found sixty-five acres on the corner of Chinn Chapel and FM407 right there in the Flower Mound area. We were able to purchase out properly and then we did some fun things. We took the corner of the property which is right on Chinn Chapel and FM407 and you'll see this on Google Earth. We subdivide about fifteen acres off. That corners the most valuable piece of property on a cost per acre is much more valuable than the rest of the land. We were able to subdivide that into commercial lots and sell off quite a few of those lots. You see them develop as you look at the site on Google Earth. Then several of the pieces were actually purchased by a group of church members that formed an organization and they built a mini storage, not only it as mini storage but it also stores boats and RV's. Now the idea behind that is to operate that business as a for-profit-business but then to donate the profits from it, to cover the mortgage the insurance and utility bills for the church. So in doing that not only were we able to get sixty five acres basically free because the land that we sold off in the small commercial lots paid for the property but then by developing a separate corporation to do the mini storage, we were able to build a financial engine that would then cover the mortgage payment, utilities and interest.
