  • A significantly more friendly and compassionately led vessel, but still hosting the reputation of overwhelming power and terrifying arsenals. Reality is much more likely to be spared and emancipated by a ship such as this one, but I still would not try to get on their bad side. There shouldn’t be all that much worry though, because it’s really only here for one task: propriety.
Just as the Commonwealth race generally is to the standard Obelisk race, this variant is nearly entirely a direct upgrade from the previous. The offense is upgraded for not only crew killing capability, but also reliability and stability concerning the entire early game. The power surge gimmick is slightly worse off but still plenty usable and handy in awkward spots where your artilleries are still too slow or can’t be afforded for upgrades. The special super shield is also very helpful, besides the fact that you don’t start with a Shields system. The only thing I would consider “bad” about the ship is that you aren’t able to assemble the perfect system combination because of the system limit, but you are still easily able to get the most important ones. Skipping medical for Shields, Cloaking, and Mind Control is a pretty trouble-free decision and commitment considering how the ship performs in the late game.
I didn’t really expect to use the atomizers for crew killing as late as I did into the run, but I can’t complain if it worked out. There were some toxic and uncomfortable fights in that mid-game era of the run, but besides that I’d say it was pretty smooth sailing all the way to the rolling credits. I generally don’t prefer the “flagship” type of player cruisers because it just feels too hands-free in the late game. The late-game across all of Multiverse is a tad bit too trivial, but even for that, multiple level five artilleries finishing fights for you without interruption or thought feels too lazy in my opinion. The only real way I can offset any of it is by adapting crew killing or playing on increasingly hard difficulties, such as Chaos Mode I guess. None of this is meant to be criticizing the effort put into the add-on & base Multiverse, which I should clarify before I make it seem like I’m not appreciating the talent and work they have put into this. I think everyone involved has done a great job, it’s fulfilling the experience I crave for sure.
Thanks for watching, like and subscribe for more.
