I'd say it's a strong mechanic and fun, problem is you really want the legendaries more than usual to open up more options which kind of feels cash grabby even if not intended
Tourists are literally dual class cards but they require you to own a Legendary and add it to your deck. Imagine if you needed a specific Legendary to add Raise Dead into a deck of its second class. All Tourists should have been given for free.
Tourists are definetly more special than dual cards as they don't have the limitation of "This cards only", rather they open up a full new set of cards. So instead of Warlock just getting a Raise Dead, they get a Raise Dead, Renew and Shadow Visions. The real problem is that not every card is like Raise Dead where it's useful for both classes, so you have cards like Cookie who give you a bunch of broken cards and Bonemarrow that give you a bunch of cards you'll never play.
Normally when they do something like this and put a major expansion mechanic on Legendaries, they at least give everyone a random one for free. Of course, the Galakrond's were all given for free so there's even precedent for Legendary required mechanics all been given out for free... (Though you still needed to acquire Kronx yourself) But this is the 10th anniversary year, so they have to be as cheap and money grubbing as possible.
When "titan" key word was introduce the expansion had another key word for the regular cards, also whit "colossal" Now we have a new legendary type but not key word for the expansion
Which is fine, I think. The game doesn't need to accumulate like 200 different keywords over time to remain interesting. Just the tourist mechanic does enough for now, IMO.
@@notthere83 I agree but most of them have soo cool interactions like dredge and quick draw than not having this on a new expansion feels a little empty
@@notthere83 They could have at least re-used an old keyword. Like how March of the Lich King brought back Reborn. Given this year is all about celebrating 10 years of Hearthstone and the prior expansion was full of throwback cards to old Legendaries... Wouldn't be out of place to get a throwback to an older keyword.
Voljin may as well read “Battlecry: Go fish”. Otherwise the greatest sin with priest right besides getting another bad set is that what does work is just boring. Zarimi priest didn’t drastically change, it just added Big Parma and the fishing rod. The parrots are absolute dust bait, don’t do it unless priest gets something better to do than have another Amanthul copying card.
...I've actually been winning alot with Zarimi Priest due to Vol'jin. The fishing rod is the main reason too, if you have Amalgam in your deck the card is essentially 4 Dragons, and with Vol'jin you can permanently give them the stats of any threatening minion your opponent plays. Being Priest also hinders unkilliax as you have the Aman'thul option, so they have to copy the unkilliax multiple times before playing it. So the deck either wins with a big swarm of minions or a Gorgonzomu Cheese for even as low as 4-Cost minions with Zarimi. 2c Parrots also help alot being another source of cheap dragons and board filler and whenever the meta changes from aggro to big minions they'll have access to that Crocodile card to keep up if needed. Overall, I think Vol'jin is a win for both aggro and control.
@@ZAYKONN Vol'jin stealing an 8/8 stats then dropping zarimi for the OTK is amazing. Ran that deck to legend last month with 61% WR imo sleeper deck. Don't sleep on sasquawk, a full board reload after a wipe is often a win. I don't run Amalgam it kinda sucks.
@@ZAYKONNhe definitely feels better against certain board states but I’ve had too many Paladin match up where he’s indeed just chillin in my hand cause there’s fuck all good choices to use him against until it’s already too late.
With Dual class cards they could be designed with the knowledge that both classes could access them. With Tourist every class card is a dual class card, except you need to play this brick in your deck that won’t even necessarily synergize with your game plan. It is purely to sell packs as pushed dual class cards like raise dead are too accessible.
Hello, Zeddy! This is my first and possibly last comment on your channel. I apologize in advance for my and Google's English. 2 days ago (07/31/2024) I left Hearthstone and I think forever. I want to fill the void in my soul with warm memories and share them with you and your audience. I came to Hearthstone in 2020 with Scholomance (I was 14 years old). At that time I didn't know that there were other modes besides the normal (no rating), I played on an old mobile device (every day, entering the game, I got a 0% error when selecting opponents - eternal selection of an opponent. I had to exit the game 3 times in a row, re-enter, see an empty field and an empty hand, give up and only after that the selection of opponents loaded normally) without an account, did not follow the game news (from 2020 to 2022) on a mage without creatures with the only legendary card - Kthun the Shattered and was truly happy. Then my favorite expansion in the history of Hearthstone came out - Divided by Alterac. Hero cards - one love. In this expansion, I created my first two legendary cards - Kazakusan and Gaff. In this expansion, I got Tamsin's phylactery on the day my cat died ... Owl otk warlock, then mine otk warlock - otk deck of my heart. This lasted until 2022, when Murder in Castle Nathria was released. This expansion changed everything: I was able to install Hearthstone on PC, create an account, and start to understand how the game works outside of the normal mode. In Castle Nathria, I created my favorite card in Hearthstone history - Duke Theotar, started playing my first control deck - Renothal Druid with Denathrius. This expansion was very successful for me in terms of the number of legendary cards that were disenchanted later or were simply strong/necessary (I played Hearthstone without donations). In this add-on I actively started to go through adventures (I won't mention easy ones for me) I went through Rastahan's Rumble on the first try, Boomsday without any problems, I also went through Knights of the Frosen Throne for 9 classes, but I had to work hard on the mage and hunter, after which I received the most beautiful skin for the paladin, which I later used to take Legend after Legend (leaving Hearthstone, I clicked on all my favorite skins and it turned out that this portrait of Arthas has a musical theme (do any other portraits have this mechanic?), thanks to the developers for this, it warmed my soul), Kobolds and Catacombs I consider the most fun and interesting adventure, seeing those cards, watching funny moments with which I decided to play Hearthstone, was very pleasant and sweet because of that "nostalgia", which they so clumsily (my personal opinion) tried to sell in the Whizbang's workshop, really difficult for me there was a passage of the Catacombs for the priest, I passed it for 6-12 hours and passed only for the Reno-deck without Reno, with Raza, in the final before the boss I was offered 3 dark Anduins, I took them, due to which I won: from the beginning there was a complete failure, I played not from the strategy, but from prevention of lethal damage at me, I played Anduin for 5 armor, the boss attacks, I have 3 hp left, the boss played Deathwing, I have no boardclears, the enemy has no cards, and the second dark Anduin comes from the top deck - victory, the Book of Faelin became the last test on my way so that the achievements in the adventure section were completed 100%, it was very difficult to complete the quest to destroy all the tentacles of Ozumat in 1 turn (I managed to complete it in February 2024). Then the March of the Lich King expansion came out, in this expansion I took Legend in the Wild format for the FIRST TIME with a imp warlock deck from Standard with some changes ). After that, I took Legend in the Standard format on a pure Paladin, which became my favorite aggressive deck. In this expansion, a wonderful card appeared - Astalor. What a pity that it was replaced by Unkilliaks, or even more than one. Moreover, in this expansion, the beginning of my favorite deck in Hearthstone appeared (standard Renatal Reno 3 Blood Death Knight) - still just 3 Blood DK. Then I began to create not cards, but entire decks: Shaman Totem and Big Priest. The Standard format seemed very changeable to me, and the Wild format was calmer, so I decided to invest in it. The Festival of Legends expansion pleased me with a wonderful cinematic and a huge number of golden legendaries: 5-6. Titans gave me an unforgettable experience playing Yogg for 0 mana and Legend on a hybrid big and aggro hunter, in this expansion I created Pilot Sir Finley and Primus. Badlands was a wonderful expansion, because it brought back the mechanics of Reno decks, and Reno Ranger itself shone - the first and last card I created gold. If I'm not mistaken, it was in this expansion that I took my first 12 wins in the arena, playing Reno Shaman with Dr. Holliday (I played more duels, and I just went to the arena for variety, but I didn't manage to get 12 in duels, maximum 10 ...), going 11 wins, 2 losses, in the final I met SilverName, maybe with a guy with the same nickname, in any case I realized it only after I prayed hard to Yogg (I prayed to him even before it turned out that my opponent's legendary was Yogg's Dungeon) I missed lethal damage with a bloodthirst (I have screenshots) and started running my eyes around the screen in panic, as a result my opponent, despite the fact that he was a priest, could not heal from 3 hp and clear the table, so I took 12 wins in the arena. I took the legend in this expansion on Reno Big Beast Hunter, it was very unexpected, because the deck has only 2-3 clears, and the main win rate is Thunder Bringer. And after Reno Hunter I found the standard Renatal Reno 3 Blood DK, and my heart belongs to this deck undividedly. Playing it, I laughed in the face of the attempts of aggro decks, and control won with a huge number of different tools: Morgraine, Ignis, Astalor, Lor'themar, golden Fizzle, Reno Ranger, Theotar, Patchwork, the ability to return them to your hand with the help of pandarens, a huge amount of healing and clears, an inimitable recycle of the deck with Finley, tons of HP with Primus (I have a screenshot where I ate a golem from Marrovar at 80/80 with Primus, because of which I have over 110 health) - all this made such a DK my favorite deck, which sank into oblivion with the release of the Whizbangs workshop ... But even before this happened, something more terrible happened: a person close to me died, trying to drown out the pain of loss, I created Reno Quest Mage for 20,000+ dust and began to break into the top 1000 of the Wild every month. Starting from the workshop, I felt that I was tired, terribly tired (then I was almost 18), exams are coming soon, I spend 90% of my time on classes, the meta is not at all pleasing, my favorite expansions and decks are gone, only Reno Mage is left. And then a series of very strange and repulsive actions begins: 1. nerf Reno Ranger, nerf Quest Mage, which means 20,000+ dust can be thrown in the trash. I disenchant Reno, Quest, create 3 remaining horsemen of the apocalypse: Warlock Quest, Rogue Pirate and Dark Priest... Needless to say that the gameplay of an aggro deck and a deck for 20,000+ dust is different in both level and comfort? 2. And here begins the story of weekly quests... 3. Removing duels... This add-on really wore me out: disappointing news, strange setting of the add-on, 4. 0 dust for crafting, leaving Hearthstone such important people as legend stuff ( his greeting energised me for the day), Ecore100 and Regis - all this is pretty boring. I felt that the game does not seem like that anymore, but, on the contrary, routine and work, does not bring joy at all. I confess, in a fit of despair I went to battlegrounds (where at 7000+ rating in pair mode I won a game, selling the entire table on the 7th turn), without leaving standard and wild (yes, by the way, since 2022 I took 5 diamond or legend every month in both standard and wild modes, but as you know, the reward is only for 1 mode, so it was more for the soul), but with the onset of Perils in Paradise everything was forgotten, because in my subjective opinion, even if I got as much pleasure from Hearthstone as before, 5. the lack of a promo video, which was even in the Whizbang's workshop, albeit a cut of game scenes, and 6. the playing field, I consider the best excuse to remember that I came to Hearthstone for pleasant emotions and because of my love for the lore of the Blizzard universes (after the chronicles and Christie Golden, I am already reading Knaak's sixth novel, I advise everyone). Unfortunately, I no longer see either of these for myself in Hearthstone, and its future doesn't seem very bright to me. So, I'm leaving, my friends! It was a wonderful experience, worth the hours spent, I wish you all, and especially legend stuff, Ecore100, Regis, Redrabbit, Fertonio, heartstone matematics, heart tech, hearstone funny moment, Trolden, Mark (you are a man from another better world) and my biggest youtube Heartstone guru Zeddy and company, who gave and continue to give me and the whole world smiles of bright and carefree happiness, good health and good luck, stay salty and happy! In a few days I will enter university and I will be occupied with completely different matters, but the love for Hearthstone will always live! Farewell and may Mother Moon protect you!
One problems is that the tourists aren’t getting any better since after the mini set that’s it, that’s all the cards in their pool, some classes got some hot garbage.
I wouldn't mind something in the flavor range. We've been wanting dual-class selection basically since the game came out, and even moreso when the dual-class Arena comes along. Good to see such mechanics finally in constructed.
i dont get why people say you have to be a whale to own all the cards? i never spend a dime in hearthstone and usually i manage to get all the cards. i play max 1h per day or so. with all the packs from reaching legendary every month and the gold i make from the reward track i usually can get all cards if i DE the prior wild set
The different tourists approach the design so differently im betting that team 5 have internal betting as to which will end up working out better, for example Raylla is suupported by the paladin cards, other than grillmaster and lifeguard you play Raylla for Raylla Voljin doesnt really care about any other cards, he is just a voljin reprint Buttons is very clearly trying to support the Shaman cards Ranger Gilly kinda supports both deathrattle hunter as well as warriors minion centric cards like the linecook, the dragon, the draw a bunch of minions, Char
I actually wanna try Buttons more but I barely got any of the shaman cards, I'm missing one of every card and both copies of Frosty Decor. I'll open some more packs along the week to hopefully get the cards because I definetly want to try this "Rainbow-Rainbow Death Knight" with the Spell Classes.
The set surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. When we were revealing cards I was so worried about games ending so quickly everything is so fast and it turns out I like that. As far as the tourist mechanic. Day one it felt terrible because I had all these deck ideas but it is hard to umm grind out these legendaries but i have paid my way to have most of them. I am missing ham, buttons and sunsapper. Aside from the paywall to have fun it is actually very fun once you have risen above that wall.
Lynessa is a very cool card, i think she is a little stronger than i should be, but in that case, it's funnier to experiment new stuff than playing her with Rogue cards. For the most part, i think they got it right. When i try the Rogue cards the gameplays feels unique and cool, doing some shenanigans with some coins and damage.
Buttons doesn’t have enough spells to draw. Death Knight spells tend to be either Frost or Shadow, Malted Magma is a reasonable Fire spell in Shaman, but the Nature spell that Shaman received for Buttons to pull sucks. This means that if you don’t need or want specifically Malted Magma, then you don’t have much reason to play Buttons.
The warlock tourist card works great in insanity warlock actually. Freeze 4 minions, draw 4, then full clear the next turn is nice. So is the location, and the 2/2 rush guy...
Tourists exist purely as an avenue of monetisation, and not as a way to make gameplay more interesting. The cards themselves don’t do anything particularly unique or interesting like TITANs, Colossals, they exist purely to act as a 1600 dust barrier to actually becallowed to access the good cards for your class this expansion. The only Tourist which sees any actual play as a card is Cookie in Evolve Shaman. Every other Tourist is either comically useless, such as Ryalla and Lynessa, are too slow like Aranna or Mistah Vistah, or actively hamper their respective decks’ game plans, like Hamm. They made shitty legendaries because they didn’t even need to try, they’re mandatory crafts regardless of their effects. Mistah Vistah could be a 10 mana 1/1 with no battlecry and Druid would still run him.
Would love for team 5 to consider some BUFFS instead of all nerfs next balance patch. Ranger Gilly would never ever see play if not for being a tourist. There are just some absolutely cheeks cards this expac
I'm really hoping for dual, or even tri-class cards in the mini-set, to really let the options roll out. Or, more realistically, cards that can go into ANY Tourist deck. Or something.
The thing I find most weird is that any time a similar style mechanic has been tied to a legendary in the past Blizzard gave away a copy at random with the set release.
i think its a dissapointment. Because its nothing different as to make this cards duo class in some way. And its only for this expansion. When this is for the future and pats expansion also than ok. To powerfull but good idea (when only possible with 1 card from another class.) But the way how this is now is borring, not creativ and disappointment. I mean like i say. Its in same the exact same when you say for example all mage cards in this expansion are duo class with Druid. Thats it. A mechanic we had before very often. Also unreactiv, not really new.
Im still big sad that Priest got a bunch of cards for Demon Hunter that are almost unplayable in standard since you dont have enough burn, and you dont have efficent ways to mitigate the damage.
I think it’s low-key a mechanic designed to make you buy more cards/legendaries otherwise it would just be dual-class but it turns out a lot of them suck lol. The more I think about it the more it’s funny.
Thief Rogue Main here. Used to make it to Legend in Wild with it with a lot of pluck. Now Wild is so messed up due to this expansion not sure it's even possible. That's another subject. What more is is how my archetype got royally screwed. The Warlock cards are all junk for thief rogue, standard or wild. It's infuriating how all the overpowered feelsbad decks get more and more support and mine only gets garbage. We got Velarok that helped us matter and it got nerfed into oblivion. Nice.
I really hope concierge isn’t nerfed. Paladin and mage tourist decks are so much fun if you run that card and they’ll be devastated if they lose it. My hope is they buff the mage drink’s damage and increase its cost. It’s not a good card without concierge.
I feel the mechanic is a let down. Most of the playable Tourist decks are ones where the cards from the other class just happen to work with what the original class wants to do. Making them effectively just like regular Dual Class cards just with a much lower rate of cohesion (Since regular Dual Class cards simply combine elements of both classes). Meanwhile, when trying to be a "Tourist" in the sense of simply accessing another classes identity... It's just bad due to not accessing enough of the other classes tools to be able to make use of them (You can't make a Pain Rogue using Warlock's pain cards. You can't make a good Rainbow DK using Shaman's spell school cards. You can't make a Taunt Hunter using Warriors taunt cards etc) Add to this that many of the actual Tourist Legendaries have little to no actual relevance to the class or cards they're accessing (Hamm isn't Druidy. Maestra isn't Warlocky. Vol'jin isn't Huntery. Aranna isn't Priesty. Cookie isn't DHy. Raylla isn't Paladiny) so they often feel completely disconnected from the actual mechanic itself, making their need to be included in a deck completely arbitrary.
Late comment I know; but as someone who has been watching HS content for some time, and just picked up the game in the last month, I am enjoying the new expansion so far: even if most people seem to agree that it’s a pretty mid set. I like the idea of class tourism; and having the extra flavor of adding a secondary class into your deck seems like it will keep the game fresh, instead of running into the same decks; in theory at least. Hamm and Skyla I think will be likely the tourists actually seeing future play, even if most of the set isn’t meta shifting. Warrior seems to really like druids ramp, and mage obviously wants to cheat out big spells, so I feel like they will get their mileage in standard.
Honestly this should be a mechanic not tied to cards, a UI that allows you to create a multiclass build with certain limitations where you can add certain types of cards would be more enjoyable and allow for a lot of customization
I'm not gonna lie. I've played free to play my entire decade of hearthstone. I've played since release. I have never had an issue managing my dust and gold and I've never spent money on this game once. Ive never not been able to craft a legendary i wanted. I think it comes down to being good at managing resources and also being good enough at the game to see returns, through things like arena for example. Right now I have around 10k dust and 5k gold and almost every single non legendary from the expansion, with a lot of legendaries too. the key is not to craft decks that are overpowered, because they get nerfed and you lose your dust. You also have to be very selective with what you turn into dust, in case the card becomes powerful later. Ultimately, if you really just want to play a new deck, make a new account and you get enough dust to do anything. I feel people are held back by laziness and poor management of funds, or wanting to play every single deck in the game on one f2p account.
Class identity has been further flushed down the toilet with the tourist mechanic. I miss old school Hearthstone where class identity and deck identity meant something.
The problem is that the game at one point is going to remove their identies . Then when you start , older cards could find a spot but the power creep is awful and there would need to be a massive change down the line .
Tourist should have just allowed you to use cards from other classes without the need for it to be newest expansion. Would it have been broken? Maybe, but you know what, it would have been more of a mix up than current day decks. If you want to balance it then maybe only 5-6 other cards from the other classes. Just my thoughts
I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. Requiring us to craft bad/average legendary cards to make a deck is a new low for hearthstone. You don't know how they could have gotten around it you say? Didn't they print duel class cards before? Couldn't they have just made every card go into the class's they wanted them to and make better legendaries? It's a mechanic we've had before but the evolution of it in the worst way. You also say they can only get better. Sure, the mini set along with buffs and nerfs. But if the expansion sets that come later don't also allow for tourist interactions they will likely age very poorly. Especially since so many of the cards in this set are so polarizing. They are either very good or very bad. I know we are awaiting the balance patch but the meta right now is the most unfun to play despite hsreplay showing a lot of class's and decks are similar. Every deck is playing solitaire and will either win or lose based on draw - not what your opponent does really. Lamplighter OTK's, Druid OTK's and Unkilliax. The game is in such a bad state.
It had potential but felt kind of unnecessary since we already had dual-class cards. But maybe tourist is going to fully replace dual class cards in 2025. We'll see.
If you get a Warlock hero from Maestra, yes. Becoming a new class via using a hero card means your Excavate rewards change to match your new class. This can allow you to get another classes Legendary reward, or it can mean you don't get a 4th Excavate tier if the class doesn't have one (Such as Priest, Druid, Hunter or DH)
So far I have only played 1 tourist (think i have 2, demon hunter and mage) but for me the mage one is AWESOME combine it with all "drink" cards and the board is full in no time then add the obvious zilgiliax and your laughing, honestly don't know if I'll try my other tourist as zeddy said he's not a huge factor, and for me...... not as fun
We can't have double the cards, we can't even have 40 cards in the deck. So what's the point of having a handful of extra cards that will replace class cards that I wanted to keep in the deck?
keep in mind the winrate is kind of polluted through all the sillyax warrior/ spell druid players etc. Cannot really try out new decks (well can, but lose).
I think the Tourist mechanic is gonna feel fun and interesting until nerfs hit them. Something like Druid, who OTKs with mage cards, is going to be awkward to nerf. We know they aren't going to add the less than one tag to mana cheat, so what do they nerf then? If they nerf a mage card than it feels bad for mages who aren't abusing it. Nerfing druid cards effects warriors now too. Its going to get messy. Also, lets not buff cards. Let's stay away from buffs completely. Tons of cards might preform poorly but how can we accurate assess them in the shitshow of a meta that we are in.
I am wondering isnt like 7% like 57% to 43% not too much of an advantage like in 100 Games you win 7 more. like your oppent wins 43 Games and you win 57. Of course that is enough to climb but like winning 7 games more out of hundred says you need 3 games for the next level -> so after a 100 games you go up buy 7/3~2,3 levels. Thats not much at all - when an average game is 15 min - that is 25 Hours to get 3 levels in climb. Of course this looks differnt in reality but if you would tell someone who doesnt know the game what a good deck is that looks like no real difference. Like maybe in the first levels if you are a good player you will win like 70-80% of games or so and if you get deeper in the ranks you will get closely to 57% I feel like ranges in 50%+ and under 60% dont say too much when there is like 65% I feel like these decks have a big advantage. And I feel like when somebody says he wins 43 games out of hundreds it looks like the deck is still fun to play
Could you not display the Signature versions? I cannot read the text. Yes, I know the text is next to it, but it doesn't work for me. I won't build a deck with them.
To me, the "tourist" mechanic is really bad, a worste version of dual class cards (which is also not the good design for the same following reason). In a nutshell, if some class cards are broken or very good, then you will see those same cards twice more, because 2 classes can use them. Yeah, we really want to reduce the variety of played cards. And, like Zeddy said, you need a freaking legendary to activate "tourism" .... This is just the blizzard's current milking technique/scam. I ain't salty :p
How can the mage tourist be doing so bad? I used it to climb from diamond 5 to legend last month and got like 70-80% win rate and the tourist itself had like a crazy 90% play win rate. 😐
I will say horizons edge is very good for warlock There have been times where I have both locations out cash in abunch of tokens and have a seabreeze like effect
I just hate the mechanic on a conceptual level. its a dual class expansion but you can only access the other half of your classes cards if you craft a legendary. Thats scammy even for blizzard. Also it unfun for players to feel forced to include a card they dont want to play just so they can build their deck properly.
The biggest downside is locking earthrise half of a class' cards behind a legendary. Even though I have 50k dust and could craft them all immediately I'm still holding my nose at making even a couple of the best performing ones.
It blizzard cheaping out. We’ve been seeing corporatization and its effects on every industry. Whether it’s food or games. Look at what happened to Destiny. That has been happening all over the world in every industry. Management only gives a crap about numbers and that’s what we are seeing the results of.
im a little disappointed by zeddy's lack of coverage over the entire "hearthstone dying" fiasco. When I first subbed, Zeddy was blacklisted and played hardball with the devs a lot more, calling them out on their BS. I've seen a steep decline in this kind of content since zeddy has been in more good graces with the devs. good for him, bad for the viewer.
I'd say it's a strong mechanic and fun, problem is you really want the legendaries more than usual to open up more options which kind of feels cash grabby even if not intended

Lol true I'm not so naive as to not expect that from them at this point but didn't want to be too negative😂

All Tourists should have been given for free.
Yea this exactly
Good point, and they should refund dust for Tourists I already have.

Tourists are definetly more special than dual cards as they don't have the limitation of "This cards only", rather they open up a full new set of cards.
So instead of Warlock just getting a Raise Dead, they get a Raise Dead, Renew and Shadow Visions.

...I've actually been winning alot with Zarimi Priest due to Vol'jin.
@@vinnythewebsurfer Unfortunately Zarimi Priest is a 3-7 matchup at best against floodadin :(
With Dual class cards they could be designed with the knowledge that both classes could access them.
Holliday (I played more duels, and I just went to the arena for variety, but I didn't manage to get 12 in duels, maximum 10 ...), going 11 wins, 2 losses, in the final I met SilverName, maybe with a guy with the same nickname, in any case
I realized it only after I prayed hard to Yogg (I prayed to him even before it turned out that my opponent's legendary was Yogg's Dungeon) I missed lethal damage with a bloodthirst (I have screenshots) and started running my eyes around the screen in panic, as a result my opponent, despite the fact that he was a priest, could not heal from 3 hp and clear the table, so I took 12 wins in the arena.
Farewell and may Mother Moon protect you!
ain't no one readin allat lil bro 😭🙏
I don’t know what it is but every time I watch your video’s it’s like I’m watching a friend. Keep up the good work!
One problems is that the tourists aren’t getting any better since after the mini set that’s it, that’s all the cards in their pool, some classes got some hot garbage.
Thanks for the content man. You're the best content producer on Hearthstone at the moment. Keep with the good work.
Zeddy videos are great for keeping me from reinstalling Hearthstone.
lol, I may try and play ‘Ranger Gilly’ mostly for the hand buff
Night and day energy between your videos and your Twitch streams 🥲
Waiting for the miniset to have more cards and more options
"Tourist" has been so awesome, that every 2nd set of a year going forward should have tourist legendaries.
Maybe not every 2nd set, but yeah it would be nice every now and then. I believe they could be as frequent as highlander cards
The different tourists approach the design so differently im betting that team 5 have internal betting as to which will end up working out better, for example
Raylla is suupported by the paladin cards, other than grillmaster and lifeguard you play Raylla for Raylla
Voljin doesnt really care about any other cards, he is just a voljin reprint
Buttons is very clearly trying to support the Shaman cards
Ranger Gilly kinda supports both deathrattle hunter as well as warriors minion centric cards like the linecook, the dragon, the draw a bunch of minions, Char
I opened my first and only Signature Legendary this expansion!
And yes it was Gilly :) :) :) :) :)
1 copy of each? Just slap a Reno on the deck and call it done lol
The other mechanic they added was the drink. I can’t wait for the rogue drink in the miniset that says return a friendly minion to your hand for 1.
Buttons might have to discount those drawn spells by (1) to be feasible. Although I'm not sure whether that might then be TOO good.
@@matthewmazzatto8003 Got it. Well... maybe after the mini set then.
We need buffs and buffs
Keep up the good work, Zeddy
For the classes that don't have a lot of good cards to get from the tourist, I really hope for the mini set to give more good stuff
The warlock tourist card works great in insanity warlock actually. Freeze 4 minions, draw 4, then full clear the next turn is nice. So is the location, and the 2/2 rush guy...
The only one Tourist I have is "Start with Tourist card in your deck" quest from event
I had 20k in dust plus more in reserves so i didnt mind the locksd behind the legendary bit. The otk druid with mage cards is insanely op though.
I love this mechanic tbh, hope they expand on it in the future
Would love for team 5 to consider some BUFFS instead of all nerfs next balance patch. Ranger Gilly would never ever see play if not for being a tourist. There are just some absolutely cheeks cards this expac
I'm really hoping for dual, or even tri-class cards in the mini-set, to really let the options roll out.
Or, more realistically, cards that can go into ANY Tourist deck. Or something.
That Cards are called Neutral Cards
@@Masterkno XD ty
The miniset should bring a set of tourists which aren't legendary.
The thing I find most weird is that any time a similar style mechanic has been tied to a legendary in the past Blizzard gave away a copy at random with the set release.
I play prirate shaman and I love the legendary dh murloc I've won game just off his battle, cry alone along with like the pirates
he has no battlecries.
I hope these come back in other sets, maybe some core set specific tourists.
I actually made a fun Food Fight deck with Warrior Tourist, but the problem is that Unkilliax exists... so that deck is trash.
Do you think the mechanic will continue going forward? Or will it only be for perils?
i think its a dissapointment. Because its nothing different as to make this cards duo class in some way. And its only for this expansion. When this is for the future and pats expansion also than ok. To powerfull but good idea (when only possible with 1 card from another class.)
But the way how this is now is borring, not creativ and disappointment.
Nice.
I wished Hunter was better this expansion. HIghest winrate deck is secret, which all use cards from past expansions.
Shouldnt given Warrior ramp as they already was the most op class last expansion, now allowing faster Brann & Ziliax
I really hope concierge isn’t nerfed. Paladin and mage tourist decks are so much fun if you run that card and they’ll be devastated if they lose it. My hope is they buff the mage drink’s damage and increase its cost. It’s not a good card without concierge.
It's just a more expensive way for dual classing. Kinda meh
You can't make a Taunt Hunter using Warriors taunt cards etc)
Add to this that many of the actual Tourist Legendaries have little to no actual relevance to the class or cards they're accessing (Hamm isn't Druidy.
Incidius with shutterblock 😊
Zed, why do you even buy packs when you’ve got 350k dust banked? 😂
Amazing 🎉🎉
Yeah, the tourist has been a success... in warrior and druid
Judged by how often those being payed by Blizzard play Tourist cards, a resounding success.
It had potential but felt kind of unnecessary since we already had dual-class cards. But maybe tourist is going to fully replace dual class cards in 2025. We'll see.
The main drawback is that many of us are not getting to try this mechanic because they are legendary. I find that very displeasing.
Tourist is a lesser Dual Class card ability, Perils in Paradise IMO have a lower power level compared to other expansion.
I simply can’t access one of the main upsides of the expansion, because you need all theese legendaries…
Oh I thought that ranger Gilly summoned the croc... Should read better!
It feels like dual class cards with extra steps.
Looking at the Tourists I got so far: Gilly, Maestra and Darkmarrow I guess, the best thing to do is go crying in the corner.
Can i excavate warlock reward as rouge?
If you get a Warlock hero from Maestra, yes.
Becoming a new class via using a hero card means your Excavate rewards change to match your new class. This can allow you to get another classes Legendary reward, or it can mean you don't get a 4th Excavate tier if the class doesn't have one (Such as Priest, Druid, Hunter or DH)
i think instead of nerfing concierge because druid they should make chalice 2 mana deal 3
So far I have only played 1 tourist (think i have 2, demon hunter and mage) but for me the mage one is AWESOME combine it with all "drink" cards and the board is full in no time then add the obvious zilgiliax and your laughing, honestly don't know if I'll try my other tourist as zeddy said he's not a huge factor, and for me...... not as fun
Gilly's Crocs should have rush.. *PLEASE BLIZZARD*
Tons of cards might preform poorly but how can we accurate assess them in the shitshow of a meta that we are in.
half the classes got a baku basically
16:33 half are playable , back before launch best expension all S and A tier legendarys .., Your worst over rate yet
Like maybe in the first levels if you are a good player you will win like 70-80% of games or so and if you get deeper in the ranks you will get closely to 57%
I feel like ranges in 50%+ and under 60% dont say too much
when there is like 65% I feel like these decks have a big advantage.
And I feel like when somebody says he wins 43 games out of hundreds it looks like the deck is still fun to play
Should have made the Epic cards
Before watching, but I think its a cool mechanic BUT as every deck now basically REQUIRES a 1600 dust tax the mechanic overall is horrendus
I feel like it’s slightly worse duel class but it’s not awful ?
success is fucking funny mechanic
I think its cool but the issue is you need alot of cards to play the strategy.
Tourists woud be nice if some broken mechanics woud be fixed
Druid goes brrrr
Mechanic is ok. But other cards like concierge and lamplighter is super annoying!
How can the mage tourist be doing so bad? I used it to climb from diamond 5 to legend last month and got like 70-80% win rate and the tourist itself had like a crazy 90% play win rate. 😐
Mistah Vistah is pretty good, sees play even in wild
@@ramia114 No doubt Mista Vistah is great, but I mean Raylia Sand Sculptor, I understand the confusion tho 😅
The deathknight tourist for warlock needs HELP auto kill your deathrattle minions has literally never worked
I will say horizons edge is very good for warlock There have been times where I have both locations out cash in abunch of tokens and have a seabreeze like effect
I got all the worst legendaries in my 80 packs lol
Hunter Tourist
Rogue Tourist
Ryecleaver
I like how this expansion had many great designs. But was completely powercrept by the old expansions
I just hate the mechanic on a conceptual level. its a dual class expansion but you can only access the other half of your classes cards if you craft a legendary. Thats scammy even for blizzard. Also it unfun for players to feel forced to include a card they dont want to play just so they can build their deck properly.
they couldnt make the tourist free cuz then everyone would open signatures and golds and that would effect their dust. sad
"It makes everything feel different" dude what is thia statement? You arent actually playibg constructed if you think its making things more varied
The biggest downside is locking earthrise half of a class' cards behind a legendary. Even though I have 50k dust and could craft them all immediately I'm still holding my nose at making even a couple of the best performing ones.
it's different
Tuck Fourists
It's a failure... And weird combos
Priest/Hunter?
Paladin/Rogue?
Rogue/Warlock?
Zeddy, you have a voice. campaign for wild. Wild needs a nerf, he is totally out of control and absurd
It blizzard cheaping out. We’ve been seeing corporatization and its effects on every industry. Whether it’s food or games. Look at what happened to Destiny. That has been happening all over the world in every industry. Management only gives a crap about numbers and that’s what we are seeing the results of.
Aranna is a really bad card but tourists are strong. Hunter and warrior both aren't great
Mechanically? Very cool.
But a 1600 dust tax to use cards that cost however much more? Lol. Lmao. No.
im a little disappointed by zeddy's lack of coverage over the entire "hearthstone dying" fiasco. When I first subbed, Zeddy was blacklisted and played hardball with the devs a lot more, calling them out on their BS. I've seen a steep decline in this kind of content since zeddy has been in more good graces with the devs. good for him, bad for the viewer.
